Cheetahs are so fascinating... I find cats in general, great and small, to be so intriguing. There's always something new to learn about them. I would not raise wild or great cats in my home, but I would love working with such animals in zoo or preserve environments, simply for the pleasure of it. I hope these cute cubs have a good and long life with lots of TLC!

The gorillas at Howletts animal park are in a "cage" however they are the most successful breeding group incaptivity in the world. Also, I feel gorillas are a bit different than a Cheetah. Cheetah's typically roam hundreds of miles of territory in their lifetime, compared to less than 1/5 mile of space in an enclosure.
Anyways, it's not that it's inhumane, it's just an unfortunate for these Cheetahs.

Its because of us humans that they are rare, and now its our job to conserve their species. some animals have been given very very large enclosures however they only utilised a very small part of it.
all im trying to say is that yes, it is unfortunate, however in comparison to the wild cheetahs these ones have it easy and will have a happier life in my opinion. The fact that these cheetah are breeding is a clear indicator that they are happy.

It's true with humans as it is with big wild cats. Yes living out in the wild means having a harder life in order to survive. but my fellow compatriot thats exactly what we are trying to do. As cheetahs are endangered around 9000 world wide it is the best scenario to get them to live longer and breed. I myself believe with certain amount of evidence that even if they are in a tight enclosure. The stress of not needing to find food constantly or the stress of other predators such as lions not hunting them out weigh the discomfort of be in enclosed space.

They aren't big cats that just run really fast, have the instinct as a predator and the abilities to be one of the most feared of big cats only to be kept as amusement attractions.

It depends. Stress as a short term cause is benefecial. Its evolutionary however we have to understand that evolution doesn't always take into account whats better in terms of life span. Its been shown that stress can decrease life span of many mammals. Your right stress isn't a bad thing however it does decrease longeveity.
While its true they are predator of the wild it is irrelevant. We have two options. keep them in zoos for now until the number are healthy or let them outside.
or let them outside and become likely extinct. Like it or not we as humans are responsible for alot of deaths. A fully grown adult cheetah has few enemies. Cheetahs speed allows them to escape most natural predators rather most die as cubs. Lions, Hyenas are its main contributor to population decline as like it or not the population is so low they aren't worth hunting. Resources devoted for scouting out the furs take too much and poachers often target prey more plentiful.

Cheetahs are so fascinating... I find cats in general, great and small, to be so intriguing. There's always something new to learn about them. I would not raise wild or great cats in my home, but I would love working with such animals in zoo or preserve environments, simply for the pleasure of it. I hope these cute cubs have a good and long life with lots of TLC!

@ThePuffyDuck from one part of the world lets say from greenland to lebanon, his body will adapt to the enviroment in regards to oxidation, you should know this, he becomes a slower oxidicer because the need to produce heat from breaking down food and in his case 90% fats and protein lessens, so he starts oxidicing at a slower rate, and if he has children there they will be slower oxidicers, if this did not happen we would die of all sorts of diseases, now God did not put a restraining order

id be happier in an enclosure that meant that i wouldnt get hunted to extinction and fed me food every day. The gorillas at Howletts animal park are in a "cage" however they are the most successful breeding group incaptivity in the world. They are a very happy bunch of animals. i respect your opinion, i also believe that no enclosure can rival the freedom of the wild.

haha I see what you're saying, but Cheetah's don't have that outlook on life. It's survival of the fittest, and it's always been that way for all species.
Also, I feel gorillas are a bit different than a Cheetah. Cheetah's typically roam hundreds of miles of territory in their lifetime, compared to less than 1/5 mile of space in an enclosure.
Anyways, it's not that it's inhumane, it's just an unfortunate for these Cheetahs.

if you really did care about cheetahs, then maybe you wouldnt want them in the wild where their cubs have a 80% mortality rate....
Its because of us humans that they are rare, and now its our job to conserve their species. some animals have been given very very large enclosures however they only utilised a very small part of it.

all im trying to say is that yes, it is unfortunate, however in comparison to the wild cheetahs these ones have it easy and will have a happier life in my opinion. The fact that these cheetah are breeding is a clear indicator that they are happy.

It's true with humans as it is with big wild cats. Yes living out in the wild means having a harder life in order to survive. That IS life though, and as it is with human beings; some of the happiest human beings are the hardest workers. The people who sit on their ass and do nothing are the most depressed and unhappy.

but my fellow compatriot thats exactly what we are trying to do. As cheetahs are endangered around 9000 world wide it is the best scenario to get them to live longer and breed. I myself believe with certain amount of evidence that even if they are in a tight enclosure. The stress of not needing to find food constantly or the stress of other predators such as lions not hunting them out weigh the discomfort of be in enclosed space.

@HeliosFire9ll I don't feel that stress is necessarily a bad thing. That's what a cheetah is, how god intended, (or nature, evolution if you aren't religious).
They aren't big cats that just run really fast, have the instinct as a predator and the abilities to be one of the most feared of big cats only to be kept as amusement attractions.
Best case scenario, pieces of garbage aren't out shooting them or destroying their habitat. If anything we protect their habitat.

It depends. Stress as a short term cause is benefecial. Its evolutionary however we have to understand that evolution doesn't always take into account whats better in terms of life span. Its been shown that stress can decrease life span of many mammals. Your right stress isn't a bad thing however it does decrease longeveity.
While its true they are predator of the wild it is irrelevant. We have two options. keep them in zoos for now until the number are healthy or let them outside.

or let them outside and become likely extinct. Like it or not we as humans are responsible for alot of deaths. A fully grown adult cheetah has few enemies. Cheetahs speed allows them to escape most natural predators rather most die as cubs. Lions, Hyenas are its main contributor to population decline as like it or not the population is so low they aren't worth hunting. Resources devoted for scouting out the furs take too much and poachers often target prey more plentiful.
