I realize that hydric soils and wetland indicator plants are required to officially delineate a wetland. I was merely commenting on a functional value of a spot that certainly looks like a wetland, and which is now buried under fill.
Dave, water fowl are not a wetland indicator, and is no longer a factor in making wetlands jurisdictional (supreme court SWANCC decision). That said, after driving by daily for years, I don't understand how the owner was able to fill this area which is/was clearly a wetland.
