What I love about Lani's voice is its versatility to be rough and full then suddenly smooth and full then suddenly shrill and thin. Lani's dynamics is amazing... Although many Filipinos think of Charice as someone "better" than Lani or Whitney, her vocal impressiveness relies too much on her range and volume, often sacrificing diction for belting. She is becoming popular not because she "matches" singers like Whitney, but because she has the potential to. She's far from touching Whitney's level, but she can. It is this potential which David Foster sees in her.
