  • there's nothing wrong with intellectualization, it is the process of putting words on intellect which itself creates the words...if you do that and rather meditate, it seems to me that you deny what you preach. Can I have your thoughts on that?

  • Buddhism is the only religion which explains how mind works...????.That is wrong ....donnot fool people...all these meditation are part of hinduism....How mind work teaches in Yogasutram by Patanjli

  • islam is the only way to inner peace and safety after death

  • @az101

    :)

  • @az101: Islam is the way of egoism, violence & darkness. It is the shortest path to hell. It is disgusting!

  • It sounds nice and the monks seated in a hall looks peaceful. What if a tiger comes and wants to eat them and bear his teeth? In a meditative arrogance we can say to "take the natural course of things". But Just because we let things be and keep our mind focused it does not end suffering. Thinking like that will only increase suffering. Tigers will eat you and mosquitoes will bite you till you die of malaria and thieves will kill you. We have to make right decisions and do some actions.

  • @Johanne0531

If a tiger came into the hall I imaged they'd simply leave. Whether you meditate or not, mosquitoes will bite you. You can kill every mosquito that tries to bite you but you will still be bitten. No matter how diligently you run from "theives, tigers, and mosquitos" and all that these things represent, you will inevitable experience suffering, old age, pain, sickness, and death. Meditation is not arrogance, but rather the opposite. Meditation is non-self, fearlessness, emptiness.

  • @Johanne0531 You don't know, there are many monks practicing in deep jungle, where there r danger animals surrounding them, but nothing happen to them do you know why? Compassion my friend... Beside practicing meditation, monks also live a peaceful life with compassion with all these they gain a true wisdom. Remember we only use 10% of our brain capacity..

  • @Johanne0531: You have much deeper wisdom than Buddha himself. Yes, we must make the right decisions & do some actions. After that we must make some more right decisions & do some more actions & after that yet more... What deep insight! Of course our decisions & actions will always yield pleasant & wonderful results, everything will always go well for us, we & our family will always be healthy. Why? Bcoz we made the right decisions & did some actions. You truly speak from broad life experience!

  • @Johanne0531

Forget about tiger, Iets think that you are living in a luxury condo in NY, taking care of your wealthy bussiness and enjoying your life. Next day your doctor tells you you have 3rd degreee carcinoma in your brain! does it matter if took right or wrong decisions? Is god coming to help you? or Scientists? whats going to end suffering??

  • @craigMellow we can only end our suffering once we fully realize and accept we ourselves our causing it =P

  • I like the English version so much, really nice voice.

  • yeah, that sounds like Jake Kornfield.

  • It appears that parts 2 and 3 are identical.

  • at 3:40 I'm pretty sure that translator is LP Ajahn Sumedho, at least it sounds like him.
