@jeffsyoutubification This tournament was double elimination, so rather than a best of five, the finals were 3 sets of best of three, with the winner of the top bracket (RSVP) considered to auto win the first set. That way the winner of the lower bracket (Hack), because he lost a set earlier in the tourney, had to win both sets to win, but only took the first one.

@RayRai8262 I don't think you understand what "Best of 3" means... Best of 3 means you win 2 games out of a 3 game round (whether that is 2/0 or 2/1 doesn't matter)

RSVP was the winners bracket #1 so he only needed to win a single best of three match in order to place first overall. Hack, the person from the "Losers" bracket, has to win 2 best of 3 matches to take first place overall since he was knocked out of the winners side of the tournament. the first two games were 1 best of 3 match.

Guys, it was two best of three series. RSVP was the champion of the winner's bracket, and ZeNEX was champion of loser's bracket. ZeNEX had to beat RSVP in both series, whereas RSVP just had to win one. He lost the first series 2-0, and could win the second series 2-0.
