The State department is NOT the authority on the environment. The EPA is the congressionally authorized approval agency here. Also, you are ignoring states rights in a very un-Republican way here. The STATE of Nebraska, does not want Keystone XL going through their backyards.
Supply and demand will not change with the oil coming through the Keystone XL Pipeline will not belong to us. This will remain the property of the oil companies until it is sold on the Open international market. it will do nothing to alleviate price spikes from the international market as it will be part of the international market.
