They fired Rebecca(Liz) earlier his year. She's been on GH for 14 years and had one of the greatest young romances ever. Liz never really liked Nikolas from the moment she met him, this affair to me seemed contrived and deliberately set so fans would hate her, she is such a good actor though, even if her material sucks, that fans fought for her to stay. After seeing her after Jake's death, hoping she gets the emmy and so glad we were able to keep her on because she proved herself.

I just keep replaying that deep voice saying "the role of Lucky Spencer is now being played by Jonathan Jackson" such a great moment. The work he's done, the debt he's brought is amazing.

@loralie5974 it was literally because Jonathan Jackson wanted back into the role. And when an original popular actor wants back into the role they left on their own will, the producers accomodate without hesitation because of the potential ratings boost.

Liz can't seem to make up her mind. I never liked her with Jason because I'm a JaSam fan and it wasn't the same, especially in 2007. Nikolas got his own wish in an Emily-lookalike, Rebecca, and yet he's more than ready to cheat on her with Liz. And Lucky's finally got his life back on track; no more drugs, he's made amends with both Jason and Sam, and he's finally focused on both his job and his family. But Liz could ruin all of that because of Nikolas, who should know better anyway.

I loved Liz and Lucky when Jon Jackson played the role. They were so sweet together. They were meant to be. When Greg Vaughn was Lucky, it wasn't right. It was like Liz wasn't supposed to be with Lucky now, but with Nicholas. Now that Jon Jackson is back, she should be with Lucky. I think alot of fans will want them to stay together now that he's back. Isn't it funny, just because of the switching of actors. The chemistry is all different now.

its so weird to think that now that JJ is back, he is still playing lucky but its so hard to imagine that he became a drug addict, cheated on liz/slept with maxie, became a cop, etc.....i feel like if JJ was on GH this whole time the writing/storyline would not be shit like that....cuz of JJ'S VERSION of lucky that he portrayed on GH....he loved liz and had such a gentle soul yet an edge, that i dont think the writers would ever write lucky so bad for JJlike they did for the other actors...

I have been waiting for this day for over 10 years!!! JJ IS LUCKY! Period. JY and GV are great actors but just couldn't capture the Luke and Laura essence like JJ could. Im so happy he's back. I was all for Niz when GV was playing Lucky because I was tired of the same ol' same ol'. But now that JJ's back, I want my LL2 again! The fall out between the Spencers and Cassadines is going to be huge and I am so happy JJ's going to be the one playing this role! Thanks for posting!

That's because with GV's Lucky, I just saw everything that they both did to one another and it was like "Oh, this is run of the mill." But in one day of JJ being back, I FEEL for Lucky. I don't know if that makes sense but...yeah.

I guess I'm not used to seeing the tension between JJ's Lucky and Luke...they were best friends back in the day, from what I remember. I did like GV, though. This is going to take some getting used to, but I got used to TC as Nik again when he came back eventually.

I will say the cheesy I'm back dialogue is unneccasary and a little annoying. "I feel Lucky, are you ready...ugh...cheese!"

Actually the last year that JJ was playing Lucky there was major tension going on between Luke and Lucky.. they weren't speaking at one point. He moved out, ran away, lived in Liz's bedroom for a while, then on the streets then in the garage appartment. This was during the whole rape storyline with Liz when he found out Luke had raped Laura.. so there was tons of tension between them... but before that, yeah, you are right, they were best friends.

I can't believe I am going to say this but, adult Lucky was better as Greg Vaughn. I love JJ but just as the doe eyed teen in the 90's. I am pissed that they fired Greg just to bring JJ back, not fair to Greg!!

GV I actually like as an actor, and would love to see him stay on GH and play another character, but the writers butchered the character and he never really had a chance at capturing the magic that was Lucky Spencer. Seeing JJ with Liz and Luke just felt like home. It was awesome!!!

I agree. GV, as great as he is inside and out, would have been a fan favorite among everyone IMO if he had come onto GH as a different character. As horrible as the writing can be, different actors bring different things to the same character and make people either care about it or not.

Funny thing is, a couple of weeks ago in the midst of Nik/Liz, I was actually okay with it. I wasn't seeing it as this huge betrayal as it should have been seen.

i didn't scream when he said "remember me".....it was more of a "SQUEEEEE!" LOL I hate to think that the liz/nik relationship will bring so much pain for the character of Lucky but JJ is like the KING playing that sort of thing. Remember when Lucky first found out about Nik when Lulu needed bone marrow as a child?! I mean, they were at each others throats and it was INTENSE.
