@perthchat Hmmm? Mine was in a Trial mode. It is now in a active mode till December 3rd, 2011, which is almost a year from now. You can try using the avast Cleaner tool, and use your Search Companion to remove any remaning bits and pieces and start all over and see if that works. If you are an advance user, you can go to the start button, then click RUN, and type Regedit , then click "OK" and do a search on avast and Alwil and delete them.  Well, that is for XP.

The date is shows as "02/08/11" which, in the format used in the US, is Feb 08.

Opening the key in Notepad specifies that its Feb, not Sep.

This is really works, however, avast is cracking down hardcore on their pirated keys, so when it trys to update the program i'd make sure to cancel the update. oh, and his password is his youtube name duh, but i figure if you couldn't figure that out, then you don't really know what ur doing, and your going to get caught. If you just want to use this key for educational/testing purposes then thats legal, but if you want a copy so u don't have to pay for one then u better be careful.
