shouldn't the first string on your 5 strings bass be 'b' rather than 'e'.

Most people would have a low b but as I explained, I perfer to be more melodic and play chords

Get a Fender bass or if you cant afford them get a Squier as they are both awesome basses

heya i have wanted 2 play bass for a long time but dont know the best way to start.....i've been tryin 2 get hold of some bass chords nd teach mself but havent found any that i think i could get the idea from.....also could i just learn bass on a normall guitar using only four strings or is it better to get a bass???

I always have a hard time extending my fingers to reach a string is there something im doing wrong?

your fingers stretch out over time man. but if you continue to have problems you can get you a short scale bass like and ibanez mikro or hammer slammer. i prefer short scale but i play both. its fun to play shows and everyone come up and ask you why your guitar sounds so wierd.

Most 5 string are tunes like that but I perfer to play more melodic so I have a high C string.

As a basic bass guitar video lesson, it's by far the best i've found. Most videos assume that you have more than a basic knowledge of how to play the bass before you watch it, so top marks for that! I personally got my bass for my birthday, primarily for messing around in spare time with some friends, i'll certainly look back now and again though, good work!
