The gears are semi-automatic. They have two paddles - one for changing up a gear and one for changing down.

In addition to those they also have two clutches which are used at the start of the race. They fully engage one clutch, and put the other at the biting point. When the lights go out they release the one that's fully engaged and adjust the other appropriately.

Alonso is the best driver in my opinion, closely followed by Hamilton.

Mercedes -Brawn will become strong with Rosberg, so will McLaren with Lewis Hamilton & Button.

Vettel will be good with Red Bull next year,

Hamilton worked his ass off to get that seat, as did Alonso. They both worked their ways up form an early age and gave their 110% to be where they are. No doubt about that. If you don't see them both being on a similar level when it comes to pure driving ability you're blind.

Who would have thought jenson would be tied with him on points? Not many. All due to his "go all out Kamikaze style" He needs to learn more patience and take more of a methodical approach to his driving which will probably come once he becomes a bit more mature. Alonso on the other hand is the complete package and the standings show that.
