The guitar plays a slightly similar scale to dear prudence that''s were the similarity ends. Sparklehorse were completely original it's hard to even contemplate were there if any influences came from. This music is timeless.

While i guess it's bad karma to judge someone for comitting suicide, I honestly don't think people need to cry about Mark. He made his choice. Yes, feel bad for whatever pain he may have felt in life, but the tragedy is there and there only - not in his having pulled the trigger.

Went into a local record store about 3 years ago, put on some headphones and took one of the "listen copies" off the shelf, which happened to be a Sparklehorse CD, and proceeded to listen. Something clicked in, I loved this music, as I skipped through the tracks. I became a fan and it's so sad to hear of his death.
