One of new planes from AC6? Did any1 here play AC3? "Su-43" assists you on mission "Swarm" and it looks totally like a damn Su-47 in reality. Also the F-22 is usable and it looks also realistic. Just the problem is... WTF!??! Game was first released in JP on May 27. 1999. -_-

I am "in the business" as was my father before me and he was over the engineering teams responsible for many aircraft including the F-16, and the early stages of the F-22, and I have not seen ANY correct or complete statements regarding real life aircraft in this thread, either the capabilities or how they are deployed are obviously way beyond the skillset of any poster here. What would F-22's do in Afganistan? Using F-22's to drop small bombs wouldn't be very cost-effective. There is more better planes to do counterinsurgency warfare... like MC-12W.
@JackyNickelson Ok first off, 'stealth' isn't really the correct term anyway. The military uses "low-observable'. And that's precisely what it is. It's not totally invisible to RADAR. If you get close enough, most RADAR's will pick it up at some point. But they will certainly have a harder time of it than with most other planes.

Considering the huge evolutional jump the F-22 represents in comparison to the F-15, some teething problems are to be expected. I laugh at those of you who thought that Ace Combat 6 was NOT an "arcade-style" game. Ace Combat 6 is everything you wish you could really do with a fighter jet and get away with it without having the pilot die of spinal compression and the wings blowing off from being super stressed. Extremely high speed, extreme maneuverability, and extremely fun because you feel like you really have no limit, and you're the baddest thing in the sky, with hearts and a cute girl on the back. Also, how was the X-29 a failure? It did exactly what it was built to do, test the practicality of FSW. X-planes are never intended for production. See YF.

@stormdumb Yes, you are correct. But any aircraft with forward swept wings is extremely unstable. Im a real life pilot. The SU 47 will never be put in to full production. Thats why Grumman and NASA stopped their X 29 project. The modern fighter is not the SU 47, its the F22 and the F15. Its all about stealth and superior firepower. Not so much "cool looks".

I laugh at those of you who thought that Ace Combat 6 was NOT an "arcade-style" game. Ace Combat 6 is everything you wish you could really do with a fighter jet and get away with it without having the pilot die of spinal compression and the wings blowing off from being super stressed. Extremely high speed, extreme maneuverability, and extremely fun because you feel like you really have no limit, and you're the baddest thing in the sky, with hearts and a cute girl on the back. Hooah!

@rockmanx809 Because it uses FSW it's suddenly a copy of the X-29? That makes no sense. You know the X-29 was a kitbash of the F-5 and F-16, right? You know that the Su-47, also known as the S-37 Berkut, is real, right? Albeit a demonstrator only, it is very much a real airframe.
Also, how was the X-29 a failure? It did exactly what it was built to do, test the practicality of FSW. X-planes are never intended for production. See YF.

@productNine Ok for one The X-29 come out Way before the s-37 i looked it up (Sukhoi in the early 1990s) . First flight of the No. 1 X-29 was Dec. 14, 1984. my words are correct ITS A COPY!!! And the X-29 was a RE work of the F-4 Frame with the Wings sweeping forward. Im Not sure why it was a Failure i just know it Never made it into the Arsenal of the USA. The YF was the F-22 in Its Early Stages of Research and Development buddy

@rockmanx809 No, your words are all wrong. X-planes are never meant to be in the fleet, they are experimental planes to test concepts. What about the YF-16, YF-17, etc? Notice how those became operational fighters? Remember the Bell X-1? Any surprise you didn't see them flying over Vietnam with missiles strapped under their wings?
Wrong, the X-29's parts mainly came from the F-5 and F-16, NOT F-4.
So, are you saying the MiG-29 is a copy of the Avro Vulcan cause it has swept wings?

@productNine Lol!!! I Lived on the Base that was The HOME of The F-4 wild weasel and The Phantom 1&2 The F-5 was a redesign of the F-4 Wild weasel As mig-29's. The X-1 was the first Jet to be Produced to Test the Turbine Engine It was Not ever meant to be a Fighter. the YF projects are the step After they are out of the X stage of Development. @rockmanx809 It's actually amazing how wrong you are. The F-4 and F-5 are totally unrelated development, and at roughly the same time by different companies. And the F-4G variant (aka Wild Weasel) wasn't introduced until 16 years later.
X-1 used a rocket engine.
Show me 1 X-plane that has progressed to be a prototype for an in-service fighter (besides the X-35 which seems to be the only exception I can find).
The Avro Vulcan and MiG-29 both have rearward swept wings. The MiG MUST be a copy.

´Raptors use QAAM, a missle with auto-follows opponets with high speed and turning, wich is NOOBISH.
While the SU-47 uses a a missle like the QAAM, but you have to keep the opponent on the steering wheel so the missle can detect the foe, wich is PRO.
Also, the SU-47 is the best for tight turns and escaping missles.

@USSWISCONSIN64 Yeah AC 5 was by far the best, although i grew up with AC 3, learned alot with AC Zero and loved AC 5, the next AC NEEDS to have an awsome story, not like in AC 6 that is all about a douche girl, it has to have:
1-Betrayal.
2-Thriller
3-Tension
4-iteractive stuff, like in AC Zero, when you appear in the deck, and you can drag around looking the destruction happening, i think its the mission called "Talon of Ruin"

@USSWISCONSIN64 Yeah, but AC 4 gameplay is kinda bad, cuz i play AC 5 for 1 year, and when i tested AC 4 it was very different, i mean, in AC 5, when you turn your plane, it just turns to the way you want correctly and then stay still, but in AC 4, when i steer the plane, it kinda jiggles, like after i release te button, the plane balances a little for the opposite size.

@stormdumb Yes, you are correct. But any aircraft with forward swept wings is extremely unstable. Im a real life pilot. The SU 47 will never be put in to full production. Thats why Grumman and NASA stopped their X 29 project. The modern fighter is not the SU 47, its the F22 and the F15. Its all about stealth and superior firepower. Not so much "cool looks".

@AmericanGi370 Thanks, it's nice to learn from a true veteran like you sir, but, as long as i know, the SU-47 MIGHT be in the russian airforce, but it won't have FSW (foward swept wings) and it will have more missle space, because the experimental aircraft can only carry 6 missles yet, if it's all about stealth, have you ever heard of the F-35 C? it's a carrier plane, so it miht be smaller, and maybe...faster?

@EliteMadHornet I think you need to consider that the Su-47 is a technology demonstrator and not an actual figtherjet, the united states has also made a swept-wing plane out of the F-5, and the Harrier can actually use the ski-hop ramp at the end of the carrier.
