Not enuf room to fin comment! The team from Boston beat the living crap out of our Catholic Youth Organization Christ the King 8th grade Vermont state champions! It was a humbling experience but the thrill of doing layup warmups in front of that huge and smoky crowd was a memory never to be forgotten! I was 3rd string and did not get a chance to play, but did suit up and do layups! The coach of our team was a friend of my father so we got to sit in the metal seats under the baskets! Awesome!
Any one REmember Earl The Pearl Monroe? Clyde the Glide Frazier? Pistol Pete Maravich? Wilt the Stilt Chamberlain? John Hondo Havilecheck? I saw a game courtside between the Celtics and Sixers in 1967 at the Boston Garden. It was awesome the way they started to whip the ball around so fast the human eye could not follow it! And to see these monsters moving so quickly was in itself crazy. Loved it.My Grade school team played an exhibition game against one of Bostons 8th grade teams before game!
@EliasJordan3 Actually, Einstein, he took 2 steps. That first step you're referring to is him gathering his dribble.
Notice how the ball is still bouncing up towards his hand when his left foot is coming down. That doesn't count as a step. His first step isn't until AFTER he gathers his dribble.
So two steps = legal dunk. And it's on a freackin' commercial.
You tubers may not know but the kid doing the beatbox in this commercial is my man Air Smooth from S.P. we must've been 16-17 yrs old when he did that.......You can imagine where his swag should've been......but it wasn't.......What Homie.......Terry
MJ can jump way higher than that, but due to the complexity of contorting and maneuvering his body to pull off the "rock-the-cradle" dunk, it's natural he didn't reach the same height as say a regular breakaway one-handed tomahawk dunk.
Is it just me, or does it look just a little late - he's hit the apex of his leap and so just scrapes the hoop (not that I could get anywhere near it myself), I am sure they must have done this take a million times, and on some dunks he must have got at the top of the leap.
My favorite AJ's of all time! The II's. Fake Iguana skin swatch on the side - those kicks were the hype back then, soaring in with a $100 price tag too, 2nd hoops shoe to be that expensive. I think a year before that, there was an Adidas hoops shoe that was a bill...
you mean the 70's cause if u where born in 80'' u where really too young to understand what was goin on in the 80's buy the time u turn 10 the 80's would have been gone''
He does indeed travel. His left foot -when it first hits the ground with the ball in hand- is his pivot foot. If he took off on his right foot, it would be alright. Nice commercial though!
HA! After an hour of searching I finally found this video! (This commercial won a Clio award in *1986*) I learned this beatbox rhythm way back then; I had to find out if I was still doing it right. (I am. :) As for who the original beatboxer was... wish I knew. :(
kobe is a great player, but jordan is way more better, much greater.. kobe tries to copy jordan's fade away jumpshot... mike is more acrobatic and changes his state of grace and artistry everytime he elevates in the air, the hangtime is so much fan to watch than kobe... c'mon guys, don't you see it? the cradle dunk and windmill that mj did many times before is more difficult than any of kobe's dunk today...plus, the defense during jordan's time was way more physical compared today.. PEACE
lol what travel haha u dont nid to judge it if that was travel ... that's was a nice dunk u nid a huge hand for that dunk to do it..and his artistric in dunk so sweet to watch ..!!!!
I wish somone would post that chevy blazer commercial where Micheal is play santa clause..Santa had some good defense but jordan was doin his shake and bake moves.
wasnt a travel man but that dunk is super hard 2 do i can do a nice windmill but that dunk.. woked on it 4 so many years i cant do it w/o slippin or missing MJ had huge hands
this commercial literally made me want to buy the shoe
