A buddie of mine clued me in to using a rototiller to make good fast trails. Around 12:00 in the video you can see a huge tailings pile from probably around the 30's give or take with some small trees growing out of the top of it. It looks like a nice spot that's hard ro read because of all of the overgroth. Great video to start out the year with :)
hi D'arcy, great vids. ill be heading that way for the summer, my cousin is running that sleace i got from you, works great, of course. if'n you need a hand on anything im more than willing to help out...my kid keeps talking about your dogs, any pups around? well maybe see you around...have fun...
D'arcy, Video Superb! Your Mosquito's look bigger, sound nastier than mine in Mn. & interpretation-I'm afraid to visit BC :{ Big chain saw, lose 10 lbs. lugging it a 100' (with the little brush I saw?) Just kidding! Anything new with your Trommel design modifications? Didya get it out? Look forward to contest updates, season II vids, & here's hoping you get "heavier" pans! PS: I'll help lug it out :} Be safe, Larry
WELCOME BACK!!!!!! So excited for your new adventures. Keep em' comin! Us here out of the gold country need stuff like this to keep the dream alive! Thank you very much and the best of luck.
I'm always looken for those bears or cats too, when I'm out. More so, when I have the wife and little girl with Me. But soon I'll have a 12 gage to take along with us. Hey I hope you find those old diggens and where there honey hole was. Good luck out there, great video.
Flagold here on utube does some searching for old works maybe he'd be worth talking to.I know from his videos he looks for tailings to test for corrundums because the old timers had no way to catch them.Good luck this season D'arcy.
Hey HixonAu, looks like you are in the thick of it again. It looks good on you. I was wondering if you were on Crown land or your own claim? You seem to really know the land around you at all times. great video. thanks.
I've come across a lot of old tailings from around the 1940's and earlier. Here in north Idaho things have overgrown so much you can walk right over them and never see them.
Looks like you have alot of friends watching, hopefully they didn't eat the last guys.Thank God for pumps and chainsaws. Can't wait to see more.Great Job!There
had to be a pretty good reason to build such a large flume.Best Regards/DeadWood
Been waiting for your new season's videos.. Be safe up there in the great white north and may you have heavy pans of gold... Good luck.. great video as always.
Been looking forward to your new videos for months. Good luck with the new claim. Looks like you have 'Alaska' size mosquito's! Guess that's better than the stinging fly's though. Keep up the good work. These encourage guys like me
terrific start to season 2! You have a "survivorman" style, which I think is very successful. I didn't care for the mosquito part though, I would have wanted to hear your thoughts a lot more.
It's great to see you back! Nice claim too! It looks very much like one I'm going to work on in SW Oregon. Thank goodness mine has it's own creek :) I can't wait to see more about the water supply there. How long do you estimate that flu is?
@keeganv Thanks........it's getting harder an harder not to just move out there an come into town in the spring for supplies.........if only I could get the wife an kids into the bush life but as they get older "soon" I'll be spending so much time out there it'll be just as good as living there.........Take care.

@bongcouver The further away from any mini mall I am the better :)
This is on a claim I staked but it still is crown land I just hold mineral rights to it.
I'll be prospecting open ground this year but may not stake anything on that study
till I have the ground lined up for staking.
Take care.

@TyD59 Thanks.......the water should be interesting.......a good clay layer there so I'm thinking on a water
trap of sorts would work out nice........worse case - I'll need to run a lot of hose up the hill.....lot's of fun
trying to get 2 pumps running up a grade.........the flu must be around 3 to 4 miles long.......people just
don't put in something like this for a little something..........they sure did a nice job of it.
