  • I came across this when looking at the Denise Walsh trend. But for the record, why don't women wear wide-brimmed hats when they feel like this as a subtle warning becon for males.

  • love u denise x

  • Lynda is totally arrogant and grotesque here. It's actually hard to watch her without cringing.

  • Oh throughout her entire speech I just wanted to reach out and give her a hug but I was compleatley awed howeven though it was obviously hard for her and emotional she could still joke with her friends and she coped! She is one of the most amazingly strong willed women i have ever seen!!!! GO ON DENISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • o densy don't cry :(

  • Lynda Bellingham is way out of her depth!

  • I'm a guy who has had clinical depression who was also diagnosed at 15, and although hormone imbalances may affect men and women differently and with me it wasn't necessarily a byproduct of hormone imbalance (rather that of having ASD), I relate to Denise saying about finding someone who could take it seriously - a LOT of people don't understand exactly what depression is, and there needs to be more people who understand that it is a condition and not just an annoying personality trait.

  • I think I'm like the only guy here aha, oh well I'm gay and I love this show :L

  • i love loose women and i' only 13 :)

  • hahahha i LOVE loose women! im Canadian and i discovered it and now im in love with it! hahah Carols & Jane are my favs. xx

  • Poor Denise n other woman who have it/had it

  • im watching this because of denise welch. she has the same bubbly naughty personality as miss haydock

  • depression for a couple of days is bad enough but for years- dayum...thats some deep stuff O.o esp for women with our hormones and all.

  • And well done Denise Welch! x

  • Really annoyed by attitudes like fucking stupid Lynda B's. You try suffering from severe period pain that's like labour pain for days every month and can't even always be controlled by prescription medication, or having severe PMT/depression and getting on with your fucking life luv! GRRR!

  • loose women is sooooo much better than the view. they actually listen and don't talk over each other :)

  • I knew I had seen her from somewhere..Waterloo Road!! <3

  • Awww i love densy <3

  • Yes indeed - cashback - that was the point - she was being deliberately ironic ;o)

  • "I'm turning into Kate Winslet" Haha. Love how she's able to joke even though she's so emotional. She's such a huge inspiration of mine, her autobiography was amazing♥

  • when i used to get out of bed before 3pm i used to love this show

  • @iaMBaTFiNk the title says almost

  • Ive been watching loose women since i was 14 :) i m 18 now.

  • "he's allowed to play golf" why shouldn't he be in the first place? Since when do grown men need permission to pursue a hobby?

  • take a pill - real sound advice there

  • Denise is one of my favourite loosewomen, shes not afraid to speak her mind, and well stuff like this. she is truly a very brave women, xx

  • Denise is very brave to talk about it on here. :)

    <3

  • Carols Burger King Story Is HILARIOUS!

  • i understand denise!

  • GATHER!

  • @iaMBaTFiNk Excactly. she only got a bit emotional

  • omg, what a shame :( i feel for her really :(

  • i am 17 suffering and dignosed with clinical Depression..and i know it's because of a hormone imbalence but no DR will listen to me..everyone thinks the only hormone related depression is postnatal depression...this is so wrong..they sent me to counselling...they told me obivously i want to be depressed because i can't talk about what cause the depression the trigger...which i know is hormal...i have been told not cum bck for couselling..they have given up on me..and so have I....

  • I actually love Denise. What a brilliant woman

  • i love denise <3 xx

  • Denise is fucking amazing!! Everyone needs to read her book

  • Denise has hormone malfunction so its a massive part of her life. That doesn't mean a small dose via female periods will cause any like the same problems.

  • Poor Tim Healy.

  • aww :)

  • I WATCH LOOSE WOMEN AND IM A MAN!

<3 the show haha! sky + is all the time lol

  • Don't diss the McGiffin! :) She is an utter legend!

  • Love Denise, she's great!

  • I love her, shes inspired my 2 c my dr after 2 years of sufferin depression, Denise rocks!!!!!

  • I love Denise.

  • well I must admit Denise is right in so many words as Depression is more common in women and its probably like she said down to hormones which in turn effects our moods they effect the hormones in our brain too.

  • well atleast she never suffered from thrush LMAO

  • I'm 19 and I suffer from Clinical Depression. I got diagnosed when I was 15 years old but told I had depression before that. I really love how brave Denise is, because it's bloody awful having depression, and people do just say "i feel depressed today" but people like Denise & I do get annoyed when other people say it, because believe us both, they have no idea what depression is.

  • @JennySilvertonx I have had depression for 10 years and i'm 29 now.

It's awful like you say, people think that you put it on!

As if i want to feel like that on purpose!

  • @Hotlips4000isback I agree, people dont seem to understand that depression is a valid disorder, and its not put on for attention, especially going through school or uni or whatever, people assume when your younger especially that you either arent mature enough to feel that bad, or your trying to get attention

  • @notebelow. Yeah, it's SO true. I'm glad Denise spoke up about it on Air. People like to brush topics like this under the carpet, as if it doesn't even exist cause you can't see it, like a broken leg etc etc.

  • @JennySilvertonx Ive suffered from depression too, and actually now have been diagnosed with cyclothemic disorder, which is basically an acute form of bi-polar, and yeah, it is brave to mention it on tv when youve suffered from something that horrible, but to be fair people can be depressed and not suffer from depression. Most people aren't claiming that they suffer from actual depression, just because someone has doesnt have depression doesnt mean they cant be truly depresed at times

  • i have recovered from clinical depression aswell. remember jenny, you are far greater than you think you are. your life is important and meaningful. i know i dont know you but i know that depression makes us think less of ourselves. one advice, show appreciation for anything you can and it actually makes you feel better. even writing a thank you letter to a friend and reading it to them (can be embarrasing) works wonders. appreciate life because it can be wonderful

  • @JennySilvertonx I have been depressed for 4 years and killing myself next year as i carnt get my ex girlfriend back so im not living like this anymore

  • @Maiden6171 Why would you do that? If you got the right help it is a curable disease! If you are being serious then please at least try and talk to someone who will probably be able to help you!

If you are joking then please don't, its not something to joke about!!

  • @Maiden6171 don't kill yourself. if you are depressed about lost love just give it time and think that perhaps things happen in relationships for a reason, in the future you will probably find yourself with a love who is really for you as we all grow in life... you don't need to give up on life. if you have depressiion try and perhaps goign to your doctor and find a hobbie that you enjoy. it's hard and it seems like theres no hope, but there always is, don't give up.

  • @JennySilvertonx Your so young, how come you suffer with depression? You dont have to tell me lol i was jus enquiring =) x

  • @LiamThompson94 Depression can affect people at any age. Children are diagnosed with it too...x

  • @JennySilvertonx For people who do not suffer from depression, they do not have the slightest clue as to what a living hell it can be. With the neglect, and the inability to function, it can rob you of your entire life. Finding the right medication, or medications, can also be extremely difficult. Good luck to both of us, and anyone else who suffers from this.

  • @JennySilvertonx agreed, I've suffered from chronic depression and anxiety for 10 years and it's horrible

  • @JennySilvertonx Well said! i am 21 and have suffered since i was 16 and it really does get to me when people say " oh im depressed today" cos like you said they dont know what depression is!

  • @JennySilvertonx didnt know denise was going through depression

  • @JennySilvertonx I know exactly what you mean. I've been depressed/bipolar since I was 11 and I hate when people casually say "i feel so depressed today" or worse "i'm so depressed now that westlife have split up" grrrrrrrr xx

  • which one is carol

  • The one with the 'burgers'...lol

  • I love Loose Women and I'm only 15 :)

  • lol I love Loosewomen too buh im only 13 :)

  • @DJCrayon2k9 get tae school!!! lol :)

  • Go denise! I think that was real brave of her! x

  • Go Denise .. I absolutely love her, she is such a legend, and so inspiring to both teenagers and women :) x x

  • yeah i agree :) xx

  • I love Denise. Cant wait for her autobiography to be released.

  • It's a joke you don't have to be so sensitive to it.

  • i love denise :D

  • aww, i thnk denise is great and believe me female hormones are realll! :]

  • "Gather"

    rofl.

And can guys stop commenting about how he whole female hormone thing is unreal because IT BLOODY WELL ISN'T!!!

    xoxo

  • true say man. i do agree with you in the sense that when its people that dont know you well saying it, but if its my family or mates i dont really give a damn, and take the piss back usually. but yeah, i can see why youd get the hump if i was a someone yo didnt know saying it

  • leave off! its just a bit of fun. like when a bloke says "corr shes got the hump its been 28 days she's all hormonal"

  • love carols laugh lol

  • gather.

  • I love Denise. its horrid that she's had to go through this! I suffer from depression & its horrid. I'm glad she's better.

  • i love denise! missing her on the show.

  • Women!

  • i love kate winslet :L

  • Yea. Hilarious isn't it. I wish you sad acts who are gonna say horrible things would go and get a life. All the loose women are legends, especially Carol nd Denise, nd they don't deserve sad acts like youse to be saying crap.

  • I find this hilarious

  • to be fair what Linda (who I agree with) and Denise are talking about are two different things. what Denise experienced is not a typical period it is more serious issue. two different things.

  • i suffer with what denise is talking about and it has took 9 years for them to linkl my depression with my gynae issue, so yes it is the same thing hun xx she is bringing the two things together

  • what i meant was Linda is talking about regular run of the mill periods and Denise is talking about serious hormone imbalance. I am not putting Denise down in any way and I know that is real, and feel for her. I agree with Linda to a degree as I see young woman using it as an excuse to get out of work who are fine otherwise. I sort of felt Linda was trivializing it, however.

  • i feel 4 her but pelase we all suffer from stuff

  • There is a difference from your average period pain.. and clinical depression thoug.. whih is what i assume they are trying to get across.. Some women use it as something to get out of stuff wheras some women really do suffer with depression that is serious! x

  • yes i know am saying we could all go on there and do that its a really bad thing to have

  • anyone find actual hosts of loose women a bit cringy wen they try and crack a joke or summit.. they just dont fit in like wen carol or colleen does.. i find that with andrea too... a bit too nicey mummy mummy to be 'loose'... nice women obviously but slightly annoying sometimes...

  • Welsh is a legend!! Can't beat McGiff tho

  • oh wow....the day before that time of month I am soo moody...and then it gets a bit embarassing cause someone's like "is it that time of month?" and you get all pissed off and think that they are being a mysogynistic ass and then they're right...!

  • Funny how Linda completely backtracks..

  • She is my fave on Loose Women...... apart from Carol of course !!!

  • love u welshy...ur proper fit too doll.

  • Is that Steph of waterloo road?

  • yes

  • When Im hormonel The only diffrence between myself and a rotweiller is I wear lipstick, how my husband puts up with me I will never know. haha

  • Oh my days. I love Denise so much. She's a proper legend. I do love her line "Oh how embarrassing. I'm turning into Kate Winslet."

  • She is a fantastic actress.

    You ever watched Waterloo Road?

  • I adore Denise :)

  • A luvv Denise like shas proppa bonny :P

  • Good on you Denise

  • I really like Denise Welsh. She's a very intelligent and pretty lady. I've been in that studio 3 times right near the front. Spoke to Jane Mcdonald using a mic. They are so down to earth and chatty during the adverts. It was amazing.

  • lol 4:55 "i did it" YOU GO GIRL!

    cant stand that slag

  • Hormone problems are such a big part of so many womens life, I am glad to see it being talked about on a tv day time show.

From a younge age I have loads of hormone problems, weight gain, never ending cycle, spots ect (not so much mood odly) and not one doctor took real notice they just kept saying "your younge it'll settle" untill four years ago, after suffering terrible stomach pains for nearly two years i was DX with PCOS, now i can not have kids, and i do wounder if only they listened then!

  • im the same, i had so many problems with hormones and i have now been diagnosed with PCOS and can't have children but people still seem to think that its just a young lady playin on her "womens problems" im only 18 so its devastating to me.

  • hahaha GATHER! GATHER! love it

  • She's a canny Geordie lass!

(Even though she's originally from county Durham which makes her a Pit-Yacker, like me!)

  • Way aye!

  • I think you mean 'Whey Aye' ;-)

  • Love this programme - they are so upfront and in your face - very refreshing.

  • oh jackie brambles i am but a fool darling i love though tho you treat me cruel

  • she is class a love her to bit she is class person and dead down to earth and natural she is class and gud actor

  • i adore denise she is just the best person ever :):) xx

  • Poor girl must be hard, even when it on telly!!

  • Effing love Denise Welch.

  • what does she say about kate winslet?

  • she said she's turning into Kate Winislet.. Its because when Kate Wnslet was at some award ceremony she couldn't talk because she was crying.. it was a joke comparison!

Its because at the awards Kate Winslet kept saying 'Gather' !

  • Aww bless...she is just the best!

  • i love denise :)

  • Yes Lynda, it was very much to do with drink, Carol can't admit she's an alcoholic

  • i thought she did really well not to burst into tears, it must be hard discussing something like that on national tv.

  • aw poor denise i feel so sorry for her :(:( i love her so much she is a big inspiration <3<3 xx
