@Ooji6345 Heard it somewhere, not sure where though =/ I know a lot of statistics about hammer, but not what Sedykh for instance back jerked. Though I know he only cleaned 160k by the time he broke the world record in 86'.
I differ 7m/ kg and about 8-9/ 1,26k, which would imply: 60m 7,26kg - 68-69m 6kg - 75-76m 5kg. These numbers vary all the time and differs from person to person, but around 7m and 8-9m between 5-6k and 6-7,26k respectively is my difference.
@andrew9592 Yea I know what you mean. However my intension was not to compare them as athletes based on their back jerk performance, I wanted to make a general contribution to the mass in the subject by mentioning Beyer's Pr and not compare the two persons, which was why I explicitly said this doesn't make Andreas a bad athlete. However I do believe Udo's strength levels were more impressive than Andreas' even for a shot putter.
Is your gym in China? No American man under 75kg has ever snatched more than 140kg, let alone 145 or 152. Thanks for coming out though :-) "a guy at my gym", ha! A guy better than any American who has ever picked up a weight happens to lift at your gym and doesn't compete. Nice try.
It's the only country where that guy's comment might remotely possibly be true, since they have such a large pool of world-class, elite lifters, which is basically what he claimed the "guy in his gym" was.
And that is at 6'2 or so,which is fairly tall. He's scrawny for those weights,no question. Especially for a non-weightlifter! Well,all the more impressive.
Odd... sure it's a back jerk, but he's using snatch grip. Just look how far apart his hands are.

@ajwazhere Snatch grip correlates to Javelin and Discus more than normal grip.

Udo Beyer back jerked 270kg :P Not that Andreas is a bad athlete, just saying.
ohedd 1 year ago
@ohedd
How do you know that?
DO you know also some statistics about hammer?
Like throwing 60m with the 7,25k...
could you tell me what you throw than if you can throw 60m with 7,25k, what do you have to throw by 6kg, 5kg and 4kg and 8kg?
I know there is no exact rule, but I think there may not be much more distance than 5m between them..
Adios,
J.

@andrew9592 He didn't weigh 135 when he was born. He trained so that he could do that. Are you saying Udo Beyer is a bad athlete or what?
ohedd 3 months ago
@ohedd obviusly not.
im just saying you shouldnt compare power tests on different disciplines.
it's like saying.. wow ronnie coleman squats 500kg... that's dumb (that 's an extreme way but i want you to catch what i mean)

if I had his technique I would throw maybe 60m, not more, because I lack the strenght, so strenght is critical
