I do miss some of that rougher production and feedback from the first couple albums, but honestly, I feel like Wavves has progressed for the better. The songwriting and hooks have gotten better and the music no longer relies entirely on that cacophonous reverb, which would have gotten boring and felt gimmicky had he continued with that style.
