The S200 is actually a mid engine car my friend. Whenever the engine is placed before the front/rear axle, it is considered a midship design. It does not have to have the engine located behind the driver to be considered a mid engine car.
s2000 has like the hugest and longest nose on a car i have ever see. but its such an awesome car. would anyone by any chance know if they put the engine and everything in and under the hood before the do the crash test?
@tanikz MR FR? i dont know what that means but i do believe the placement of the engine gives the car near 50 50 weight distribution. Either way cool car :p
@H1shman yeah, its because the engine sits just behind the front axle thats why it has 49/51 weight distribution. and because the engine is up front, its FR.
@DanielHTucker they have 2 waste the car cose its the only way of knowing if its safe or not.u could probly get 1 cheap though.4 like $15,000 bucks.id get 1 but i need a 4 seater 4 when i hang out with my friends.
I base my auto purchases on crash tests. Honda has made some really nice changes since my first Honda... a 1989 Civic hatchback, which is a rolling casket on wheels.
i hate cr-v's. we hit the car in front of us(another crv. we we're in a crv if u cant figure dat out) and becuz of the stupid extra tire we had to get a new hood. bumper. quarter panel. and a headlight. the little crash was at 10 fucking mph!!!!!!!!!(i have no idea how many kph that is)
Ever heard of crumple zones? The car is supposed to crumple like that. It dissipates the energy through the car opposed to the passengers inside the cabin. Notice how the interior is nearly untouched.

i guess you could call it a front mid-engine. either way, the car has great weight distribution

@AndyRoddick969 of course they do. the engine is gonna be in there if you get in a crash. its the exact car you'd buy from the dealer.

@AndyRoddick969 Wiesmann MF5, search it on google. It's a 2 seater with the V10 from the BMW M5.

@AndyRoddick969 the nose is so large is because the engine sits behind the front axle making it a mid engine car so there for it increases handling.

It's a FR car!
