Looking back, this game had a real proto-Metroid Prime feel to it. All the back-tracking and stuff, returning to planets with different abilities to access new areas, etc.

I remember hating this game's controls, though. Would've really benefitted from modern dual-sticks. A Turok-like scheme would've worked, too.

The weapons were really fun to shoot... as was exploding alien bugs and collecting their heads. And a little later in the game, you get the ability to have a little flying drone thing that hoovers around your head at all times, and a second player can control the drone and help you shoot badguys.

That was lots of fun for me and my brother, but we were young back then... haven't played it in years. Still, it left us with many fond memorise! ^^
