You evidently don't like this, but alleged Jesus doesn't say that o.t. law is abolished.

@mehico33 Yeah, but it's been translated from it's original language to English, so sometimes even if the words are the same, the meanings can sometimes aren't always the same. That's why most english speakers probably misinterpret a lot of the things in the Bible. Like the quote from this video. In one english version of the Bible Matt 15:4 it says kill someone doesn't honor thy parents. But in the King James version it says to let him die the death, it doesn't say to kill anyone.

Those aren't even questions about religion. I mean questions like, "if God is all loving then why do such terrible things happen?" That's a question that converted a lot of people to atheism, because they took the easy way out and lost faith instead of trying to explain their religion. There are so many diffiicult questions about God and the Bible.

Anyways, atheists ask those really difficult questions that most of us just don't know the answers too, thinking that we're somehow less intelligent for not knowing everything. As if we don't ask ourselves such questions. When you believe in God, the questions are harder. Not many people ask really difficult questions to atheists, because they don't believe in anything, so it's easier for them. They have less explaining to do.

I just wanted to say to everyone, if the Bible was proof of God, then you wouldn't need faith... For example there is a scripture where a man is picking up sticks on the sabbath so God strikes him dead, this is because there was a sermon just given on keeping the sabbath by a prophet and yet the man defied God. Also God is looking at things through an eternal perspective not our temporal one, in your eyes death is the end in Gods it is just a passing onto eternity. Some instances of death from God are merciful to stop someone from sinning further and causing greater condemnation.

I saw a program on archaeology and DNA science on National Geographic that showed how and when the jewish culture developed, and how they authored The Old Testament. It turns out that everything in the book is complete b.s. They were never in Egypt and none of the people described probably even existed. And the psycology of it was discussed too, why they felt the need to make up the stories back then. Great program!! : )
The truth is some guy a long time ago heard a few stories of some other guy called Jesus who was trying to spread this new religion called Christianity. So he says to him self I'm going to write a book about this guy and this religion and call it the bible. Then he dies and some other guy finds the book and says to him self I'm going to revise this book and put in every thing that I THINK is write and wrong. The bible has been rewritten so many times. For example there is a scripture where a man is picking up sticks on the sabbath so God strikes him dead, this is because there was a sermon just given on keeping the sabbath by a prophet and yet the man defied God. Also God is looking at things through an eternal perspective not our temporal one, in your eyes death is the end in Gods it is just a passing onto eternity. Some instances of death from God are merciful to stop someone from sinning further and causing greater condemnation.

That one dude was on the right track explaining but didn't go very deep with it. Some scriputure were meant for the old world (pre atonement) and are called the mosaiac law. After Christ this was replaced by higher law which is what we live now. Also, some have to do with open rebelion towards God.

I saw a program on archaeology and DNA science on National Geographic that showed how and when the jewish culture developed, and how they authored The Old Testament. It turns out that everything in the book is complete b.s. They were never in Egypt and none of the people described probably even existed. And the psycology of it was discussed too, why they felt the need to make up the stories back then. Great program!! : )

But from what i've gathered, the bible was first being written long before jesus existed, in areas hidden from roman authorities before the roman empire became so powerful and so big. And even in my own life i have seen peoples legs healed and able to walk, i have seen about 100 crows that sat around our fence for 2 years and when we put holy water around the fence they never came back. And there are 100s of youtube accounts of people going to hell, not heaven.

@rememberthename33 look buddy, what was wrong in the old testament is still wrong, for example, homosexuality, theft, murder, adultery, and yes, even cursing your parents. now days, no one is to be killed for sinning as you would know if you had read the bible, jesus died for all our sins. this doesn't mean that we will be killed if we commit one sin, but if we truly REPENT (new word for you) we have to change our lifestyles, and stop thinking like the world (which is constantly going downhill)
