  • i dont understand, is my memory totally failing me? saw them at pukkelpop festival like 4 years ago or something like that and i remember some heavy grunge music but not this... maybe earlier work?

  • Saw these guys with Social D a couple of years back in SLC...they've changed quite a bit.

  • I love this song! It's so much fun & rocks! ^__^

  • this reminds me a bit of the stills.brill.

  • saw them filming this song - on wimbledon common - was just walking my dog with my sister and we heard this really cool music being played from inside a forest and so we went to see and a crowd started to form- it was so cool! it was the first time i had ever heard of them but now am hooked! sooo gooodd! XX

  • I'm taking my german exchange partner to see these guys next Saturday!

I absolutely can't wait and neither can she!! :D

  • yuss goin to see them on the 24th cant wait woooo

  • supporting them on the 27th carn't wait

  • i just came across these guys. i really like it

  • i like their new sound, but not as much as their older, heavier, grungy sound. hopefully their new album will mix the two together. thatd be awesome

  • NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

I could keep going all night, but the typing is louder than my speakers will play, so I won't. It would also make my fingers hurt after a while.

My point is that I love this song.

  • Great Song

  • i met sam in york he giive me 10p for the bus lol nice lad

  • i how 2day's mainsteam music sux and the underground music is unheard!

  • Nine Black Alps are brilliant, their first album is amazing

  • lol the video makes no sense to me, but i love the song!

  • yes I agree how are they not famous!!!?

  • Good tune reminds me o Teenage fan club a bit.

  • awesome song I still like the old hardcore stuff better

  • the beatles rock

  • In my mind, you really have to have no one else to hate (or no life) to think the Beatles "suck."

  • how are these guys not insanely popular? really. even with the second album change in sound, they are the best band i've ever heard that's got a mainstream sound.

  • if they became "insanely popular", they would probably lose their credibility as they gain that "mainstream sound"

i agree, they are one of the best non mainstream bands.

  • this is good, but sounds nothing like nirvana. nirvana is grungey, distorted, and not poppy like this.

  • A lot of you are pretty nostalgic. They sound like a completely different genre, I know... but I still dig it.

  • I miss the old Black Alps. The dark, heavy Nine Black Alps. Look at them now. Their just so upbeat and poppy. I hope they go back to being a grunge band and stop their alternative rock sound. Its not them.

  • agreed.

  • Sounds a bit like My Sweet Lord by George Harrison.

  • You hit the nail on the head, byron.

  • glad you agree!!!

  • he's hot....kind of sums it up :)

  • shame a band that could of been the next big thing turned in to an other ash. i was a big fan of the first album and being from wythenshawe just round the corner (manchester england)i was well stokked when this band popped up.and the same with ash first two but this is dreadfull for a band which i hopped would be huge by this time, its a shame the whole comercal market has got its say in this day and age. bring back grunge

  • I agree with you Matt26876, such a pain...

  • They were going to be the next Nirvana :( So sad such a good grunge band had to go. Love/Hate is a horrible album. :( I wish I saw them live just before Love/Hate came out.

  • waaauw geweldige muziek !

    echt moooi =D

  • echt hea? ^^ Maar nine black alps is geweldig, en als je hun goed vind vind je meschien The Spill Canvas ook wel wat, maar goed ^^

  • my m8 toby leonard is da badboi wiv da skinhead in dis vid!

  • y the thumbs down, i'm just statin' a fact!

  • my guess, your spelling. But I got nothing against it, it kind of makes one hear your accent upon reading.

  • i t might be more good...

    so shitty :)

    ııggh

  • It's complete cheese........

    very edible though.

  • please this is as grunge as Ash... I mean. this is just wet

  • oh no...what happen to them?

..'their second record is an insult to those they attempt to pay tribute, a bafflingly lightweight concoction of copped riffs and banal lyrics.'...i guess they just experimengrungly, added more popish but less grungy?

  • I disagree they still bring it although it is produced a little heavier but I think it works. The grunge is still there (California Beach Boy grunge). The songs stand out a little more than first album though. Mainstream? kinda yeah a little more but did not ditch core audience.

  • I quite like this :]

    but more imprtantly:

:D at sam and his hairrr.

    he just,

    he looks gorgeous here :)

  • they should release heavier than water as a single... much better than this

  • i love this song the lyric is very meaningful =]

  • good song but wtf has happened to then? They have ditched what they were and just another nme shagging band. I dont like to say this because i love nine black alps. But its clear this is just painting by numbers join the dots nonsence. Its no cosmopolitan and they sort have become one of those inter mainstream bands. You cant blame them, they just went where the money is tis all!

  • I like it..catchy tune but i got to say it doesn't sound very original..kinda reminds me of George Harison's "My sweet lord"

  • i like their old stuff better...

    and sam's sloppy long hair..

  • great song no matter what anyone says...*subtle points to 3 comments down from me* grrrhhh

  • this is so powerpop

    a new direction for them

  • a horrible direction. There was no other band like the old Black Alps.

  • i agree man..what have they become :( :(

  • What have they become???

they're still terrific wtf are you talking about.

  • apparently not like they were...c'mon...

  • nine blacks alps is still amazing...but yes there old stuff is better

  • wow...this song is so relaxing and soothing. its something thats great to listen to besides their awesome hardcoreness.

  • i prefer the hardcore agressive stuff, saw them live in August and they were great but as soon as they played their slow, newer stuff the crowd went still, no-one was sure what to do until they got to their more edgier tracks

  • forget my name is still a great track.

  • this song is way different from their usual work

    but i love it

  • i love this band, but this song is crap. it sounds like the coral

  • brilliant love it

  • this is quite worrisome.

  • We need to buy the poor boys distortion pedals. That'll do it.

    :)

  • What happened to hardcore nine black alps?

I know you most likely see this all the time, but please check out my videos?

  • Saw them the other night in manchester. they have gone so soft

  • you heard more new material? and it's all like this? man.

  • Yeahh, I know what you mean, they have lost their edge a little. They are fab live though!

  • Not keen on this song really. I hope the album will be different. But the lead singer is still gorgeous. ;)

  • I really like this song, I know it's really different from their older stuff, but it's still great!

  • It's different then their first album, but I still like it.

  • I too am quite dissapointed. I love Everything Is because there's really something to it, this is just a bit dull. Listen to this song and then "Not Everyone": it sounds like two different bands.

  • reminds me of ash,is that a good or bad thing?

  • yeah they have lost their edge

but bands are allowed to grow, cant expect them to repeat the same album over and over again, wheres the fun in that?!

    Seeing them monday too :)

  • Going to c them on Monday

    Any good live?

  • compare this album with their last and this just sounds deflated and numb, I was so disappointed when i first heard it, everything is.. had so much promise

  • it's a great song!

how's he trying to be pete doherty?!

    AND

they aren't "just another shit generic indie band"

    indie's great =]

    gahh

  • nooiiice

  • this is shite, much better on their first album... they reminded me of Nirvana before, now they're just another shit generic indie band.

  • WTF? wheres the rock from the first album? there was a mosh pit when i went to see them in birmingham, how can you mosh to this WUSS-ROCK? sam forrest is a knob, put down the acoustic and stop trying to be pete doherty, cos he is a tacky tosser

  • I think it's the very best tune nowadays. I'm looking forward to the single and the album.

  • ...weak

  • fgdgh

  • i liked this band from teh beginning ;-;

  • you gotta love em

  • niiice one toby

  • these boys jst get better n better n better n fukin better

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!! i love 'em!

  • awesome song :)

  • wooo that's me!
