What Bob Schieffer says is the typical smug approach of commentators who are not involved. He is the type who would have anyone in the army who had any problems with killing enemy soldiers given a drumhead execution. Unfortunately, the US army is getting more and more hard nosed.

My own uncle got shell shock in WW2. He never got over it. The likes of Schieffer would have had him summarily given the death chair. At least there was some sympathy in the army in WW2.
