So better use a hook extension (look @video "Hurricane on bungee") or a nose hook. With a bungee you should just accelarate. After release you pull up to convert the energy to height.
where to buy online that EMC vega megarubber? how long you pull the rubber to launch the skorpion? i got i composite vento 3m wingspan..i think both are at same weight bout 4kg without ballast?

I extend the rubber (7m rubber + 5m rope) to about 30-35m taking care not to rip it up. my f3b planes have around 2-3kg, so maybe the next stronger one is a better choice for you. but take care, that your wings can handle the acceleration and the pulling up after release.

Yep, the Skorpion is not only pretty fast, but also very good in weak thermals. The rubber..only 35m full extended, so maybe 100m are enough?!
