I cant judge how famous those singers/bands are in the US or UK, but there are a lot of famous german singer/bands in germany.

But I konw some examples ..

- Rammstein

- (unfortunately) Tokio Hotel

and there had been more famous bands from germany in the past.

for example here in germany puiples learn english as their second language.

we don't speak english here okay, but we unterstand most of the english songs ;)
