This was one of the matches that kept me admiring Triple H, as an in-ring general. You can spot signs where he carries Randy Orton through the match, but still allowing the match to be believable. At 8:54 mark, you can see where Triple H lifts his right arm up while in the Figure Four Leglock, to instruct Orton to start to turn him over to reverse the pressure. You can see where RKO almost forgot to do this. Triple H is one of the BEST in the business!!!

But for anyone who has had that maneuver applied to them; the figure four leg lock applies pressure to knee joints on both legs equally. If a wrestler is not trained to take the pain of that hold; it can be de-abilitating to both legs for a lengthy period of time.

Sure it should. HHH is probably the best wrestler in the world right now. Especially at the time, with no real defined contenders. This is similar to the shape NWA was in back in the 80s. To fix this, they had Flair keep the belt for-fucking-ever, and tour around wrestling regional top-dogs. Many of them were sub-par but Ric always made it LOOK like they were good enough to beat him. This led to many of them making it big later on. HHH was doing the same for the youngsters in WWE.

well that's almost completely true. there was a triple threat match the night after survivor series 2004 between triple h, edge and benoit. orton was GM of the night, since his team won the elimination tag team match at SS.

edge was in benoit's crossface while he was rolleing over to pin chris. so the referee counted 3 the moment when edge tapped out. that's why mr mcmahon vacated the title and bischoff set up the title match for NYR in the elimination chamber, which triple h won.
