I have a sheltie just like that except she's not as fluffy. I'm not sure if she likes water or not because she hates baths, yet she's always soaking wet whenever it rains and we have a plenty of roof over the back door.

The sheltie I had before her did go to the Gulf Coast once in, I think, Port Aransas Texas. She wasn't sure to go in butshe did when my dad went in.

Ah, I tried to get my family's Shetland Sheepdog, Star, to watch but she wanted down since I had her in my arms. They are the best dogs in the world in fact Star is the 2nd sheepdog my family had the 1st was Princess who lived 13 years. We had her since summer between kindergarten and 1st grade and died my freshmen year of college at thanksgiving. Then we got Star for my mom as her Mother's Day present after that Thanksgiving. And Star is almost 1 year old.

I stumbled onto your video and I can't tell you how many times I've watched it already . It's like a Disney movie it makes me feel all squishy and warm fuzzy inside. Course it doesn't hurt that I've got a collie and luv dogs and the beach. Love it! Thank you for sharing.

There is also a big difference in their face! Beautiful dogs, my sheltie has never gone into the water. We all get in and he gets anxious and barks like crazy, i think he thinks we're in danger . We've purposefully put him in the water and he swims until he can reach the bottom and stands still until we take him all the way out! Shelties are wonderful dogs!!

It took us a very long time to get him near the water. When everyone is in the water swimming though he gets jealous and swims out to us. There is a good little movie of him swimming in "Harlies first movie".

Aww lovely dogs!

Your collie looks a little like mine. The major difference is he doesn't like water! But we managed to get a great shot of him playing in the water in the lake district once. We were all awed at that!

It took us along time to get to this stage with both of them to get them to like water! They now both swim as far as we do, especially the collie.

The rough collie has a bigger coat and she is a very small rough female. The sheltie has a thinner coat and he has actually grown oversize for a sheltie. Unfortunatly they are both desexed!! Thanks for the comment!
