  • She was so high here.

  • @amilheim I don't think so.

  • @astralislux - I do. Watch her mannerisms. This was during her cocaine-feuled performances before she gave the drug up in 1987. Don't get me wrong, I love the woman, but she was messed up on coke for many years. Some of her best music came from all that.

  • @amilheim I only questioned it because her other performances are completely out there (and awesome!). This one seems so sober.

  • this reminds me of my frist love lisa oh she was my love there will always be apart of me always thats just the way it is.

  • One of my fav concerts and eras, ever. WILD HEART. Forever! Thank you :)

  • my soul sister

  • Stevie will always Rock!

  • Wow where is talent like this these days, the kind of voices that move you....

  • I love Stevie and her performance in this video...but one question, what exactly is she saying at the part after, "If I was a child" ? - 2:25 She sang something different.

  • @raptor96 she was done before us her best friend just had died at that time

  • I have tears in my eyes. Stevie is beyond words

  • She's teh best...nothing not to like about this amazing artist..she is an icon, an Goddess and much much more..

  • she seems so fascinated about the stuffed animals haha shes adorable! :) love you stevie!!!

  • Note to self...*Stevie likes stuffed animals thrown on stage*. :) Great song!

  • who cares if she's high, she's still "THE LOVE" & can sing with it too !!!!!!

  • hahaha I love those animals. So funny

  • Do you know where i can get this tour on dvd?

    thanks

  • she is higher than a kite here. In my opinion of course. Just going by what she has said about here drug and rehab days.

  • she is higher than a kite here.

  • Bless her heart....losing her best friend to cancer and this song she dedicated in her remembrance. She's your angel Stevie!!! <3

  • holy crap shes high. let me add that i still love her though!!

  • @INF3darkgreen she can sing high, she can sing low, she can sing solo... but it is very! hard! to sing this when you're crying.

  • holy crap shes high

  • Love the song, but why is she holding dolls in her hand.

  • @murk2002 don't ask, just watch.

  • @murk2002 coz she was mashed?

  • Shoot the Moon!

  • I'll always be the Gypsy that I am- to all the Rom, Gitanos, Ciganos, le Gitans, don't let racists get you down- regardless of what stereotypes people hold us to I am very proud of my Gypsy heritage!!! God bless the outcasts!

  • i have 1 ticket left!

  • GOT TO GO TOUCH MYSELF NOW, THANKS STEVIE YOU RULE!

  • Its great....but the guitar just bothers me cause its not Lindsey...it just loses a little of that magic...but Stevie still sounds great

  • Who has tickets? I'll do anything, well, with a woman.

  • this song has mezmerized me many times............great voice!.....wooooo

  • Awsomme Love love love this!!!

  • Stevie Nicks is the Queen of Rock!

  • THE BEST

  • listen to McVies bass, very underrated.

  • @bustercotten332 John McVie didn't play bass on this tour; it was Stevie's own band, not Fleetwood Mac.

  • She is so friggen hot hot in this video ! thanks for posting

  • The word legend isn't even worthy of describing stevie, she is THE best. We all love you stevie, stay young

  • man :( her vocals werent too great here !

  • @thischarmingruby I agree, was this during her druggie phase? Poor thing.

  • @thischarmingruby Mmmm,huh....not too great at ALL:( As I recall, these were the 'bad years' for her according to her biography. Saw her live around late '85 & she fell into a stage light(one of those 'umbrella' looking lights that sits directly on the stage); staggered right into it-lol! She would start 'rambling' too while addressing the audience. I love her & she still sounded good but it definitely was NOT one of her best performances. Oh well, it was the 80's, need I say more?!

  • @jlalewicz yes poor baby she was on coke her vocals were so bad but still i love her regardless!! she still overcame that obstacle in life :) awww yes it was the 80s! ehehe <3

  • I love Stevie but this is painful to watch and listen to.

  • cocaine

  • I can tell the vocals are not Stevie's either... Stevie sings a bit lower especially in her live performaces.

  • My favorite singer. Period. I listen to LOTS of stuff, and normally I hate 70s arena stuff... but it's Stevie for Christ sake.

  • All i can say is it,s stepanie lynn...STEVIE ,she, it .

  • man shes high on this one

not as good singing either but the real song is best (hq version on cd etc.)

  • best female singer in the world past present and the future

  • @LittleCobra she's up there with the greats' janis' aretha' tina' love stevie end of!!!

  • always have this on my favs,,just plain good,,end of story

  • The Queen of Rock and Roll forever immortaled!

  • Man, the qualudes, percosett,Xanax sang this song like shit! Stevie way better than this! Barbituates never help when tryin to do a show playing with stuffed animals and shit? And forgot she was at a show and shit?

    Fucking smashed........... You think?

  • @tma73cah71: she was doing coke at that time. It was before they put her on sedatives fearing she would relapse on coke.

  • Dolly Parton called--she wants her hair back:) The first two lines are bloody awful singing, but then she hits her stride.

  • And off the stage she goes for MORE coke.... Wow... It's amazing she even survived all those years.....

  • Beautiful Stevie.. <3

  • the only problem i have with this video is that the song loses that magical power that linsey's backing vocals and incredible guitar work gave it...other than that its simply fantastic...she was is and always will be the queen of rock and roll

  • @SgtPep5150: You are correct. I am a Stevie fool, but it does sound a little "hollow" without the backing of not only Lindsey's guitar & vocals but the rest of Fleetwood Mac. I have always liked her with or without Fleetwood Mac, but maybe a little better w/ Fleetwood Mac.

  • Stevie, my Gypsy Voice!

  • fucking great !

  • It is so nice to see her smile..

  • I have heard many versions of this Gypsy song and i believe this has got to now be my favorite.. ty for Post FC

    P.S.

traavis5 she became a bit heavy because after recovery one puts on what they call recovery weight.. so the body of Stevie was not used to not having what she was taking before recovery.. and her body had to adjust, and learn to process food etc. again so she thinned out again, and I have heard interviews where she has always struggled with weight all her life anyway.I Luv SLN!

  • Well I have no fear, I have only love.

  • Adorable! I love Cyndi's and Stevie's style =]

  • my first love

  • Stevie Rocks

  • is it just me aw was she very thin in 1983 and how come she got big in 1985

  • I think Stevie Nicks is a total Goddess, but that's funny ;-)

  • coke, fu man chu

  • My young man crush on Stevie seems justified all of these years later. She just seems so painfully vulnerable in this clip though.

  • What I love about this clip is that Lori and Sharon are MOVING. Now in shows they just sway back and forth very slow.

  • Comment removed

  • Where is this recording taken from, is this show available to buy on any format? I thought it was from the "In Concert" Laserdisc but Gypsy isnt on there! Any ideas?

  • look at his peguin andtheother one its so funny

  • Kiss ASSSSSSSSS!!!

  • I loVe Stevie...But, U can so tell that when she CRY's when she sings..She is STONED!!! thats why I LOVE Her! hahaha "She is MY GYPSY!!!"

  • @KiTonia69: I totally agree.... hee hee... A friend of mine saw her in concert & said she had a little tent set up on stage and assumed she would go do lines of coke, because she would come out twirling....... and all excited...... He said they could tell she was high as a kite on coke....

  • Stunning beautiful Stevie xx

  • OMG!!!! Totally agree beatlenut53

  • I think she is sad...this is about the time she lost her best friend...you can see her crying...Love u Stevie!!

  • Great performance, well its got to be cos its Stvie Nicks.

Her voice never fails to amaze me.

  • Actually...this is my VERY favorite video recording of Gypsy. I LOVE IT. It's 100% genuine Stevie of that time and season...emotional, crying, smiling, giving her SOUL to us...can you ask for any more? I have all of her albums. I don't honestly think they sound BETTER....they sound DIFFERENT. Live and studio performances ARE different and I LIKE that. It's what makes me want BOTH!! :) They're like two different experiences, both equally compelling and enchanting.

  • shut the fuck up.

  • Michele1j: lol...Oooo so tough!

  • Stevie Nicks got the voice

  • Bob Dylan never performs a song in the same way, so why should Stevie? Yea, she was probably coked up--so what! It was a different time and she was young and naive about drugs. All Stevie's performances are different. She is not some robot that is going to perform a song in a repetitive style or sound. Appreciate this performance for where she was in her musical career at the time. Remember, this performance is 26 years old!

  • rockymountainwomen: I so agree! And I applaud you for saying what you said. :)

  • This tour has been the ONLY time Stevie sang gypsy live on a solo tour.

  • It dont sound as good on you tube but all of Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac shows are great!

  • EPIC

  • ur gypsy

  • Haha, that's a bloody awful rendition. Thanks for surviving it all, Stevie, and bringing us such great work today. xxoo

  • She is out of it.

  • hate to say it but she looked really coked out in this video.

  • This is fantastic!!! Rock ON Stevie.... Great vocals!!!!

  • she must be fucked up to be playing with stuffed animals when shes supposed to be performing

  • Badly done video...the back-up singer should be called, the "Let's-steal-the-show-from-Stevie" lady. Is that a bridesmaid dress she's wearing? She sings louder than Stevie! Dancing badly! For those of us who love Ms. Nicks, it's painful to watch her coked out of her mind. Someone tell her to PLEASE yank "Live from Red Rocks" from the shelves and put "The White Winged Dove Tour" ('82) out instead. This video shows her starting to unravel...I'm so happy she survived - and is better than ever!

  • I rekon they so should put out the concert from the bella donna tour there is performances of eo17 and leather and lace from that show on dvds but i dont like the red rocks she wasnt in great form even a show from this tour the wild heart would have been good and they need to put the tusk doc out on dvd to

  • Who's the LOUD, off-key singer standing beside Sharon Celani? She looked and sounded like a crazed fan who just took over the mike...Clearly, Stevie was on the downward spiral toward rock bottom-she crashed hard just 3 years later, on the "Live at Red Rocks" DVD. It's painful to watch. Thank God she went to Betty Ford that year. I love Stevie Nicks and was worried. She reminded me of Elvis on his last tour. But she won--"Stevie Nicks-Live in Chicago" is her best DVD concert EVER. Bravo Stevie!

  • I think I was at this show. Joe Walsh opened and her father introduced her.

  • Shes coked out but it sounds pretty good...

  • Wasn't Bob Glaub on bass?

  • the REAL onekev - that was Benmont Tench on the keyboards. One of the best of all time.

This same concert they do 'Beauty and the Beast' and it's up here, it's worth the look. Stevie is great and Benmont demonstrates just what the upper limits are of using a synthesizer. It's an amazing song.

  • la version que mas me gusta¡¡¡

  • can't get enough Stevie... ever! I'll take her any way I can get her. Past, present, and future, there's no greater! EVER! ! LOVE YOU STEVIE!!!

  • Oh my goodness I damn near passed out when I saw the venue where this took place, I live right down the street from it in Prince Georges County, LOL. Its tore down now, and has been turned into an outdoor mall, a lot of great artist had concerts there

  • A great performance. I was curious to see how this line-up would handle Lindsey Buckingham's guitar solo near the end of the song -- the keyboard cover of the solo was very good.

  • white horse? "you can ride high atop your pony,,,i know you won't fall cuz the whole thing's phony" to quote ms. nicks

  • xD love it

  • I love this performance. Natural and raw. Love you Stevie.

  • I love it.

This is the ONLY Stevie solo tour where Gypsy was performend.

    She did great!

  • She was on the C however shes ragged at this point been burning the candle at both ends

  • The back-up singers are too loud! All out of balance they sound like they're screaming!

  • Stevie Nicks is the reigning high priestess

of rock and roll. Stevie is a poet, artist and singer. She quit cocaine in 1986!

  • No she does not need the White Horse.

  • Okay, I love this song, but this performance reminds me of the 80's Aerosmith performances when Steven Tyler was clearly high the whole time. I mean, she seems a little stoned. I like the sound of her voice though. Maybe she's just hamming it up.

  • Stevie Nicks is an EXCELLENT performing artist. Not only does she have an exceptional voice, she WROTE many of the songs she performs. Not too many of singers can say that.

  • Background vocals should be just that...in the background. Not your fault Stevie...terrible soundman.

  • Cute penguin lol!

  • She needs a lozinge for sure

  • I saw this tour and I'll have to say it wasn't Stevie's best. Lori seems to over power her in the vocals.

  • I love Stevie and I love the ragged blusey sound she can have but her poor voice in this tour...She had been touring/recording for what a solid 8 yrs at this point? Her voice needs some TLC

  • The whole point of live music is to make each performance different. If She makes her voice sound stressed then that is most probs deliberate.

  • I agree tarheel stevie is not nearly at her peak during this performance she seems to have like bronchitis still love it cause its Stevie we are the most loyal fans ever.

  • Stevie wrote this song about herself.

  • Still Amazing after all these years.

    wow

    wow

    wow

We Love you Stevie Rock on!

  • Great video. While I think the song has even more impact with Lindsey's guitar work at the end (see Mirage Tour '82), this version has some nice vocal harmonies and outstanding keyboard work.

  • They used a lot of coke for a while, We're lucky they're NOT DEAD...all still goin? I believe they recovered. And bad audio is'nt anyones fault! Thankyou 4 putting up!

She performs ANYWAY!! May OUR LOVED ONES, RIP+

  • Yah. They made it. Their, as Reba would say SURVIVORS!

  • who cares about drugs?! i did them! and i'm not fucking dead?! you are one fucking asshole!

  • IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU? DO YOU NEED A DOCTOR? MAYBE A GOOD KICK UP THE B#tt ! forget it! you'd like IT, wouldn't you.

Get ya self a DOUGHNUT! F##KNUT

  • Fantastic video! Stevie Nicks is truly amazing! Thanks for the upload.

  • stevie did not sing gypsy good this time .i heard her sing this song much better than this!

  • HER BEST MATE HAD JUST DIED!

  • Her 'best mate hadn't just died. The song was perhaps written about that. But this performance is sometime after that. And this performance is awful on her part. Going through the motions, voice shot, dancing with stuffed animals, hollow...

  • This was the ONLY solo tour that Stevie did this song. What a treat!

  • La millor versió de gypsy

  • Brilliant version!

  • Studio version on the CD is so much better.

  • No it is not

  • This video kicks ASS. Best version on youtube of this song, and my favorite Mac/Nicks song.

  • I just love when Ben plays with his organ...

  • His organ really plays on Gold Dust Woman on this tour. His organ makes the song so dark and hard and mysterious. The song was never the same again.

  • Hard organ- hahaha ! Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, I'll keep an eye out for it- that's my favorite Fleetwood Mac song.

  • Hard organ...o_o...0_0. Yes...Benmont playing with his organ is music to my ears. :P

And Gold Dust Woman is such an awesome song...I need to look for it too :D

  • Bwahahahaha !

  • Look it up here. 1983 Wild Heart Tour show opener. This poster should have the song.

  • Will do !
