  • Hello, i'm Jim from Norway. What i'm hearing and wathcng of withnesses bearing report of how their threatened after Katrina, is just chocking and totally a shame. I must say, we are just 5 million people in our country, but what we have heard from Bush and now Obama is that they have controll over the situation. Does not seem so to me. I imediately urge Us Government to push forward those promises made ensuring the welfare of the black population of that area.

  • The mishap of Katrina resurrected PTSD symthoms, that I functionally deal every day. My home of 32 years had irreplacable memories of my children growing up going off to college, returning w/ more momentos. I had a near psychotic break when I found pictures of my rooms b4 katrina. I wondered what was in that jewelry box, the kitchen 'catch it' drawers. I saw my bdrm, stereo, books, family friends enjoying. I did not lose expensive things because I am not extravagant. I lost pieces of myself.

  • put it like this if there is even a chance of a big storm hitting im getting the fuck out period!

  • Also for the ignorant and the uninformed. There have been other hurricanes to hit besides katrina..this tiem the levees accually gave way..unlike before., so noone realized how bad it was , until that happened. Most of these people have had generations of family live there, so again fuck all of the ignorant, hateful comments against the people who suffered, lost their lives, or lost loved ones, beloved pets. Maybe one day something like this will happen in your town and you'll see what it's like

  • a lot of these people could not get out, and there were a lot of people and not nearly enough ways to get everyone out..fuck these horrible racist comments, these people have had their families and live torn up, some people did abuse fema, but not everyone and not nearly half of the people that got it..a lot of people had children and families, and some people were old sick and poor..so ya, fuck all the mean, hateful, racist comments i saw on here.

  • these people are always complaining about not enough being done.....so, get off your ass and do something about it.....pick up a broom and a shovel & clean up the shit in your front yard......why do you people think that the government and other americans always owe you something?

  • @mstep3 Thank You!! I've been saying the excact same thing for years !! But when people of a certain color been suckin on the ole govt titty for generations they don't know how to help themselves, they're used to someone always there with a helping hand and a check.

  • I feel so sorry for all you poor americans. Its so unfortunate that your government really dont give a fuck about you. Look at the state of this place. While the government sends aid to lots of other countries and waste shitloads of money on the war in afganistan ( the CIA have to protect their Heroin dont they) . The good people of America suffer in silence. I hope you keep fighting and wish you all the best of luck from the United Kingdom.

  • bloody disgraceful

  • they only dont have a place to stay cuz Buch he dont like black people boooo bush

  • What are these people waiting for?Someone else to do the cleaning up for them?

  • @bradz123456 why yes ....don't you think someone should hold their hand & tuck them in to bed @ night ....when you suck the government tit 4 too long U forget how to do 4 yourself

  • haha lol

  • "Don't blame Bush for this fiasco."

    Of course not!

Republicans: The party of personal responsibility. Fakes.

  • What does that statement have to do the here and now

  • New Orleans gets all the attention. Have any of you checked out Bay St. Louis Mississippi? My daughter did volunteer work there in April '09. The city is GONE!!! I guess what they say is true . " The squeaky wheel always gets the grease'.

  • The US has lost 9 Billion Dollars in Iraq. This would have been better spent rebuilding rather than being misappropriated.

  • @SPECIALFORCESUK oh yes that way 9 billion more could have been stolen down there. the problem is that soooo many people are so used to sucking the government tit that when the government isn't rite there the people just stand there & cry for help instead of trying to do for themselves

  • How the f*** can Bush sleep at night? This is 2009 in America, let's hope Barack sorts this mess out....

  • The fact is that New orleans needs help. Your time is most valuable time. Gather some people and go down there and see how beautiful these people are. Stop pointing your finger at people who will never be convicted of anything and do something! Anybody can swing a hammer. People want to call the people of New orleans ignorant for staying and trying to rebuild. The only way the evil prevails is when the good won't do anything. If you help you, you will see what america is truly all about!

  • Katrina was what some people in New Orleans have been praying for washing out the blacks who weren't singing, dancing, cooking, cleaning like the "good ol' days". The Bush administration lynched, one that not only chased the blacks out of N.O., but helped their friends make a bit of money in the process.

May Bush and his cronies be lead out of the White House in handcuffs on January 20 for all the crimes they have committed against Americans, the world, and humanity for generations to come.

  • The lower 9th ward was dump before Katrina, those people should just stay where they were relocated and start over. Ray Nagin is a total piece of shit for a mayor and they voted for him again, wow its a shame. I went there to help rebuild in 06 and my trailor was stolen from me. Anybody that stays there gets what they deserve. what part about living below sea level dont they understand.

  • really...so what then is meaningful?

  • Hmm.. Here's a thought... move the f*ck out of N.O. and live some place else?! Get a JOB! I don't know.. move on...

  • The old man, Mr. Washington was kicked out of his FEMA trailer before the final electrical inspection on his home last winter. It was 27 degrees. He died in his sleep on the kitchen floor of his totally rebuilt home. My friend and Plenty International volunteer Tony Sferlazza found Mr. Washington the next morning. Tony is still rebuilding homes for people. Help him help others!

  • so much for being the U.S we dont even help our own people but we pay billions to the fuckin iraq people what do they do for us!!! noth just blow stuff like 9/11

  • you didn't see the crap that happened in new orleans happen when the midwest flooded, WONDER WHY?? LOL get off your lazy asses, get a job and clean up your own sheeit!! Flush the toilet again , u missed ALOT of turds last time!

  • If Katrina was striked in a city where the majority of people was white, trust me, wouldve been all different.

  • N. W. O.

  • You can not judge unless you have lived through Hurricane Katrina. To this day, New Orleans still needs so much help & support. Everyone there is absolutely amazing and so polite. Please, if you can do anything to help, do it now...don't wait...you can change someone's life today. New Orleans is being overlooked, it shouldn't be. It has came a long way, but still horrifying. Please volunteer and make someone realize that life is still worth living.

  • Dear Choosey: it's the hypocrisy, fool! Our government bails out big money businesses all the effin' time. But leaves the poor, black people to rot. And you think that's okay? You must be a fat white man in a suit.

  • This is soo sad

  • we have plenty of country land down in South Carolina Yall Come on down and stay awhile ...We Would Love To Take Yall In ...THATS WHAT AN AMERCIAN IS SUPOSE TO DO !!!! CARE FOR ONE AND ANOTHER ....And the Amercian Government is so crooked ...We spend billions on war , But cant spend it to help ourselves rebuild ,WHATEVER!!! GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF THE ONES WHO STOOD BY AND DID NOTHING ...ONE LOVE!!! HOPE !!!! AND , UNITY!!! FROM S.C.

  • It was not the U.S. government that helped this city off its knees and onto its feet, but the kind hearted people around the country and the world.

Insurance companies won't pay us, the state of Louisiana will not release minimal government funding and now strangers are saying don't come to our town, but they shouldn't rebuild in New orleans either??? What do you suggest?

  • There are far too many misconceptions about Katrina to dispel them in this forum. People think in terms of black and white, rich or poor, but EVERYBODY was flooded.

Not only did our government fail to design, build and maintain dams surrounding this city (levees), but it failed us in its response and recovery and we are AMERICANS too, we pay taxes like everyone else in this country.

  • Ok I don't know ANYTHING about the price of rebuilding. Nore do i care. Relocate these people. they KNOW its going to happen again. the weather IS NOT getting better. there just going to get hurt again! and we'll be in the same damn pradicument were in now.

DON'T GET ME WRONG!! I feel for these people who have lost everything. BUT... come on...

  • ElderKorlic, where do you suppose we New Orleanians should relocate to? California? Wildfires. The North East? Snowstorms. The Mid-West? Tornadoes. No place is "safe" in this country, heck even across the world there are droughts, famines, wars, tsunamis.

  • I did not say you were going to get away from it completely. Just move to a SAFER place.

  • Where do you suggest, we go? Let me help you understand, Katrina NEVER touched New Orleans. It touched down in Miss.

A levee is a cement retaining wall. Our government designed, built, and maintained these levees. They also lied to us for 40+ years telling us they were safely embedded in the ground 30 ft, they were no where near that deep.

  • It's almost like a car accident, where we were not at fault but the gvmt. was, and yet they expect us to foot the bill for injuring us, our homes, our cars, our lives. This is not about a natural disaster, but the man made disaster that has left our lives in shambles.

  • Please don't start with hating BUsh..start with Nagin...oh i forget he's black..of\h and you reelected him...why was it that it was mainly mexican contractors rebilding the city..were are all the blacks that have their hands out...ex...Florida...citizens, communities.. came out after all the major hurricanes...trust me its not the goverment..its the people

  • are u fucking kidding me!!!! nagin was are mistake but every one i know and live with in NEW ORLEANS!!! are rebuilding and i dont think u now anything. where u stranded in new Orleans for days on end no u were not. but i was! we hate bush becaus he did hardy anything for us he almost left us to die my and my pregnet mother had to rebuild our home with all 500 fucking dollars the government gave us those trailers are made for 1 person try living in them for over a year with 5 people and a cat!!

  • Firstr Freedom is not..free... people have to do for themselves...If you were an insurance co..would you insure them....

  • Same on you U.S.A !!!!! they are tax paying american citizens . if they didn't pay the tax then you would have no problem getting to them then and putting them in jail or maybe even taking what ever they have left. it's a sad day in the U.S.A>

What do you think Bush ??

Take some of that money you're spending on the war and help them people out it's the right thing to do and you know it.

  • thats ashame and these are tax paying american citizens

  • Thank God I live in New York.

  • What a lot of people overlook, is that when you get an insurance check for your home, your not getting a check for the value of land. The land is not lost after a hurricane... a mortage is for the house AND the land...your insurance check probably won't be a lot of money, certainly not enough to rebuild.

  • Insurnce comapnies are not going to insure homes in South Louisiana. They are worried about their profit

  • We are going to take the US back. No more Repugs, No more Lying Dems!

  • there is a lot of elderly people there who receive government checks, welfare mothers who have 8 kids and dont know who the fathers are. Local politicians who have been ripping the people off for grenerations down there. if you are not a part of the GNP. The present administration could care less.

  • Oh shame USA, I just saw the graffitti on that house in this video, it said...WE CAME, WE SAW, WE CRIED, WE LEFT...2 years on - SHAME USA - SHAME!

  • Is it true that Brad Pitt has been in Mew Orleans, helping to rebuild some properties?..I don't know if it's on the architectural side or if he's physically helping, or both?

  • brad needs to put his money where his mouth is. he's making 20 million (at least) per movie, at 1 movie per year. fork over some cash, brad. but, of course, he won't, cause it's all about the publicity, and nothing more.

  • yeah it's true. He and Anglina actually have a house here and send there kids to school here and for jade comment below me Brad actually commited to raise 20 mil to build i think 145 houses for people with him using 5mil of his own money

  • Its a buyers market there. Lets play Flip this house! I wonder if Wal-Mart reopened after the comunity looted their store.

  • gee thats funny, not, Los Angeles media keeps on playing all kinds of Real Estate shows that imply that EVERYONE is rebuilding, or interior decorating upgrades let alone, cheap cheap ways to do it. But most of all they keep on promoting the idea of buying a property and make a huge profit and hardly any upgrading in comparison. You know like $20,000 repair and a $100K upcharge. Yah, think the American owners are fooling the rest of us?

  • If any of you have ever been to the Mississippi Gulf Coast you would see why we build our houses on property that was handed down from generation to generation! And the deer and rabbits and squirrels and other wildlife that roams there freely. Even had the opportunity to see a deer running on the beach, being chased by the Wildlife guys but he had a good time! So don't ask why we live there! Why do you live where you live!

  • @MsLorrieT : I live where I do because it's not prone to flooding! LMFAO!

  • Come on you folks re-elected those that failed you. We Americans are too stupid to survive. Rest in peace

  • You all know the truth. New orleans was predominantly DEMOCRATIC Voters. Is it any wonder that Bush didnt left a finger, and then ONLY because the uproar..amd then he ran the money thru his friends companies. It could have been You. Wake up.

    Stop voting for these people.

  • Why do you have to put a house right on the ocean? I love it when nature takes back from developers and the assholes who build homes so only they can enjoy the land!

  • Indianapolis Indiana circle downtown Sept 22 at noon, join us in protest of NEW WORLD ORDER, NAU, INVASION OF IRAN, RFID CHIPS, NAFTA, CAFTA, CFR, TEXAS CORRIDOR, AMERO, IMF, POLICESTATE; STAND UP FOR LIBERTY IN THE LAND OF FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, THERE IS VERY LITTLE TIME LEFT - EVERYONE IS INVITED! FREEDOM NOT FEAR

  • It's getting nearly impossible for property owners in Florida who live near the beach to get insurance at all these days. They're screwed if a hurricane were to roll in...but I'm guessing Jeb Bush's state would get more help than New Orleans did. Just a guess.

  • "And, Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job."

---To FEMA director Mike Brown, who resigned ten days later amid criticism of his job performance.

    Mobile, Alabama; September 2, 2005

  • no ones going to rescue you, blaming the goverment wont help you.you reap what you sow.

  • god destroyed new orleans because of the sin, marti gras, prosmiscuity, drunkeness.we saw it and talk about it for years prior to katrinia,no coincidece.

  • OMG. I can't believe how many negative comments people have on this. It's amazing that people watch this video then make those comments. A huge natural disaster can hit any part of the USA, people have this "its sucks to be attitude" but when it happens to them they will ask how come the government isn't helping?

  • As a Katrina survivor I can say that the attitude I took for me was not what our government could do for me but what could I do for myself. Never did I look for someone to help me. The week after the storm I put 1000 miles on my car because I knew what I needed to do and I did it.

  • It's not the government's responsibility to buy these thousands of people new houses. It's THEIR responsibility to purchase home owner's and/or flood insurance.

  • Dumb ass, many places that are in high risk areas affected by hurricaines floods earthquakes etc don't offer relief issurance....once agan dumb ass

  • I had flood and homeowners insurance. $100,000 in coverage; with yearly premiums of $2700.00 per year. State Farm paid me a whopping $1,500. for Hurricane Katrina....that's FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS on a $100,000 policy!

I ended up suing them and got a settlement of $3,500.00 of which I had to pay my atty. $1900.! What type of house can you buy/rebuild for that amount of money?

Oh and FYI, my insurance has now tripled for the same coverage b/c they had to "pay a claim".

  • THAT IS CRIMINAL! SHAME ON STATE FARM!

  • this was a good thing. Hurricane Katrina actually helped the economy. Thank goodness for disaters

  • I was DOWN THERE in New Orleans when this happened. Doesn't matter what color the people were or whose fault it was for "neglect". People died. G Bush couldn't help as much as he wanted because of how New Orleans is built and how people were in the super dome (killing each other, raping women/children, etc). People wouldn't leave because they thought this was nothing. Obviously, they were wrong. So, like I said, people died. Who cares about race or status.

  • @SillyShay88 : They were warned and told longggggggggggggggg before hand the

hurricane was comming and get the hell out, but they just stood there, DAHHHHH!

  • I was born on 8/29. Now for every birthday the rest of my life I'll get to hear these whining lowlives bitching about that storm. They had an incompetant governor and mayor and somehow they have transfered the blame to the furthest and least responsible level of government. Just another excuse for people who have spent their entire lives being carried by the rest of us.

  • God forbid, New Orleans had been predominately white! 80% OF THE CITY WAS SUBMERGED IN WATER!!!!!!!!! What part of that are you people failing to understand and or comprehend? We are not talking about ankle deep! 10 FEET DEEP!God forbid something as catostrophic as Katrina destroy your home...Let's see if you would just stop at local and state government! I think not!

  • n.o. is mostly black. it's a bowl surrounded by water. they need to start taking responsibility for themselves and quit complaining.

  • thats right curtis once a monkey always a monkey hey j1 and jag put your hands over your head and act like a ape ooo ooo ahaaha ooo ahahaa now beat your chest there you go dont you feel better Now Mr DJ go mix that s h i t

  • J1 and Jag, you both make yourselves sound just as ignorant as Domestics when you use derogatory words like "Cracker". You put yourself at his level. Poor blacks and whites were both affected by Katrina. It a shame that our government(both Local and Federal) and dropped the ball on this.

  • the only difference is all the other cities are above sea level(hint)

  • rudy is getting blamed for 9-11, what about naegan wtf has he done. last i heard he was making a chocolate city

  • The US government knew they could have did more. What a shame!

"HOT OFF THE PRESS" seen via youtube videos

  • I just knew this was going to be a George Bush, they use generic Federal Government, attack video made by people unable to put blame where it belongs. Brave New Films is not as brave as it pretends because it is not brave enough to put the blame where it belongs, on the local government, the Democrats. Anyone only blaming the "Federal Government" for this, is lieing to themselves, or is ignorant about their local government.

  • There have been many hurricanes in the past. Rebuilding always followed. But the neglect

goes to George Bush and the Republican Party.

  • FL has had tons of hurricans and they rebuild dont they? could it be lazyness on both sides?

  • The rebuilding in the past was private industry and charity. Read the constitution and show me the part that says the job of federal government is bail out dumb asses that choose to live under the sea level.

  • JVModerate has it right. And they went and reelected the same mayor who couldn't follow the evacuation plan when Katrina hit. It's the fault every person who voted the current local and state government back into office that they are in the condition they are in. Local and State government is the ones responsible for getting these people back on track.

  • Read through a few more pages of all this stuff and I just have to point out a few things:

abathey states: any American should be able to stand right outside the doors and tell them that. How else are we supposed to. The Federal Government has becomet this entity in Washington that many of us will never see, or meet the people who work there.

It's been like this way before Reagan was ever elected. You just choose to see it now out of hate.

  • I'm just going to end with this: to alot of people who believe the federal government isn't helping New Orleans clearly has no clue. This is a state, city and local problem. All the federal government can really do is allocate money, which they already have, and which Louisiana has already squandered. You people have to wake up and put the blame where it belongs.

  • scottishkingpin again: The 2 days those people were stuck on the roofs is all their own fault and on an indirect level, the state and city governments for not having any kind of evacuation plan since Hurricane Betsy hit and the biggest oversight of all: not issuing A MANDATORY EVACUATION WHEN KATRINA HIT THE GULF. I'm so sick of everyone blaming Bush for the Katrina disaster when he was one of the last people you could pin the blame on.

  • scottishkingpin: Analysts have said it would take like 30 billion dollars to build a levee and a barrier island system that would protect the Gulf Coast from Category 5 Hurricanes. I'm sorry but what most people don't realize is that Governor Blanco is proposing a 30 billion dollar budget for Louisiana this coming up year and when 2050 rolls along, we'll still be wondering where all that money went.

  • To ncmoonshine: You speak the whole truth there. From the national media's perspective, only blacks suffered from Katrina. Everyone forgets Mississippi who got the worst part of the hurricane, the Northeast quadrant. They had nothing but slabs and foundation in many areas of their Gulf Coast. And look at Mississippi now, they are far beyond us in the recovery process. To think we Louisianians used to say, "at least we were better than Mississippi."

  • The Mob Rule is a little different (and I've seen one happen alot in my time). If a white dude, no matter his size, is calling 1 black man a nigger while a whole bunch of blacks are around, the black man getting offending will probably attack regardless of his size. This is because he knows, even if he gets his ass kicked, the white man is going down as well. This scenario just doesn't apply to The Mob Rule.

  • If the cracker was me, who's 5'7" 150lbs, you might feel confident enough in your own physical ability that you can beat me up. That's the Law of Nature. Your only going to challenge someone physically if think you can win. Otherwise your not going to say s***.

  • To J1fromtheBX: To be very honest, that is one of the biggest empty threats that anyone can possibly make. Let me explain. It falls under what I call the categories: Law of Nature and The Mob Rule. If a 6'5" 250lb cracker is in your face J1fromtheBX and is calling you a nigger, the Law of Nature pretty much says your going to tuck your tail between your legs.

  • To GAD4878: The sad thing of what you said is, you really did sum up the feelings of most of the people who lived in New Orleans East. They are so busy moaning and whining that they lost everything (never paid insurance mind you) that they won't even try to help themselves. What's even sadder are the people who are trying to rebuild in the East are being robbed left and right.

  • To DomesticSucks: A more accurate statement would be, our corrupt politicians on the state and city levels are holding us back.

  • To DomesticSucks: In the old Matrix proverb, there is truth in your fiction and fiction in your truth. The truth is black people are one of the main reasons why the New Orleans area hasn't made any progress in the past 2 years. The fiction is, the city is predominately black. The city is run by black people, we have a Democratic governor, and most of the state legislature are Democrats.

  • So many people here don't have a friggen clue as to what is happening in New Orleans right now. And it wouldn't be surprising if you are getting your "Katrina" information from the national media. Instead of just typing out what is happening, I'll just give responses to what other people are posting.

  • Sadly DomesticsSuck your profile says it all, "Fuck reading" and frankly I'm surprised you spelled reading correctly. This insecure young man is a fine example of why we've got to make college accessible for poor white trash. With education and a lesson in empathy he could find a path to enlightenment and self-awareness. I feel sadness and pity for your angry existence, try not to breed and that goes for you too small little man that you are, h8nigs.... Ha so witty you are

  • I can't believe it is taking so long to rebuild while Bush seems to be more interested anywhere else on the planet except New Orleans. In Sydney, we love New Orleans, we have much in comment in the feel about the places. God Bless +++The Saint+++

  • not all of em u sick fuckn piece of Godless trash, dont listen to our fuckn music cracka u think ur better than others cus u race cars & listen to Hip Hop

U AINT SHYT & guess wut fuckr Remember this: WHAT GOES AROUND, MOS DEF COMES AROUND. so keep being a selfish asshole and wait patiently for yours! I PROMISE YOU ITS COMIN!

  • Its not a surprise to me how you feel so strong at home behind your cpu. Im sure you say nigger under your breath every single day but you would never look a black man or women in the face & say that. your a joke! You fear my people CRAKER! talk shit on your cpu all you want you just make us laugh! truth be told you know not to say the n word to our face! lmfao!

  • Nuff said Big up J1

  • Go eat a gun, racist.

  • Oh oh helps mes please mys governments treated me likes i was blacks Thats it people the Government hates black folks and that why your not being helped what a crock of s h i t help yourself you lazy f u c k s you expect the government to do it all for you quit criing and start acting like an American insteed of some helpless form of life im so tired of niggs saying the white man is keeping them down well your down and you want the white man to help whats that shit about?

  • well Im white and I was in katrina in mississippi where the storm really hit and when it was over I had a paycheck from work that I couldnt get cashed I had a couple of goats I ate and some fresh vegis that I grew and the GOVERNMENT came made sure we were alive set my broke arm gave us MRE'S AND shortly after FEMA came and did the best they could and redcross was a god send we survived and never cried like you bunch of food stamp f u c k s

  • To Bad they didnt stick yo ass in the staples center, bet u wouldnt hav made it out judging by ur additude fuckn cracka

  • @jaguar902 : Funny how most complaining are 99% blacks! LMFAO!

  • there were just as many or more white peoples property and homes damaged by hurricane katrina , but if you ask someone like denilson200 , only black people were affected by the storm. there was violence , rape and crime all throughout new orleans , making rescuers hesitant to jump right in and get killed , but it was racism thet left so many black people stranded. there were thousands of white VOLUNTEERS (people who help without being asked and without pay) from all over the country.

  • some of the buildings in venice italy is basically underwater but they never moved out... you dont move the city... you rebuild the levees the way they should have been build in the first place and there is no more problems... the only reason new orleans had damnage was b/c the levee system could barely protect from a cat 3 hurricain build them to level 5 and this would never happen again..

  • That's a bad deal all around. That whole city is in a major flood zone below sea level. They need to build New Orleans somewhere else safer or you risk this happening again. I wonder if any other cities have this same risk? Fools paradise... Never visited but heard it was great.

  • for real dude this is not white or black.. you make new orleans look bad when u say shit like that plus.. alot of the rescue workers were white.. so its basically a slap in there face..

  • dont say you hate white ppl. thats a racist thing to say.

  • and as for people conning the red cross and all that yea it happend here.. but i heard of alot of people not even from the gulf coast who fucked them too so idk about that

  • dude first of all im white hence the name scottish kingpin lmao. second of all im saying is that everyone says this and says that about how Louisiana is so corrupt and that we have our hands out. not true,if this were to happen anywhere else in any major u.s. city you would have the same probs with crackheads/criminals not just in New Orleans. for 4 days there was no government/no law enforcement...

  • Man, I HATE white people !!!! Had this been a white area it would have been so different.

  • Yeah..that would make a difference...cuz you know, on the northshore where I live all the white people have their houses all perfect and all the blacks don't.

Stupid retard- why don't you keep your ignorant comments to yourself?

  • I'm not saying that its not terrible that all those people are without homes. Many of my neighbors still don't have their houses done-my own isn't quite finished yet. New Orleans area has lots of honest, hard working people who are just trying to get their lives back together,

but Louisiana's government and some of its people CANNOT come out of this looking innocent, when they aren't.

  • im from canada god damn the us is a great place but george bush get the fuck out there to help come on two years i remember watching the hurricane after math on tv and it was horrible

  • god bless canada... they were the first people down here helping, besides local citizens, coast guard and wild life and fisheries... i have so much more respect for these people now..

  • thats funny last time i checked our president was a liar and didnt care about it... its funny to him.. and last time i checked he wasnt from Louisiana.. like i said it's not demo or rep its politics in general asshole

  • thats like saying next time san fransisco has an earthquake they should have thought about that shit b4 they moved there... real smart lol. i would really like to see how long some of you would last in Louisiana heat on a roof waiting on someone to help you for 4 days with no food electricity or water... we have a serious problem in politics/govovernment 2day people.

  • "we have a serious problem in politics/govovernment 2day people." ....that's right, YOU do in LA. Get a loan from Bill Jefferson (dem). He has a lot of 'cold cash'.

  • I noticed how they never mentioned how Ray Nagin turned contractors away who asked for permission to come into the city and help rebuild.

Also missing from this gripping report were the people who did receive money but spent it on 30,000 dollar boats or new cars instead of fixing their houses.

Before they go crying how no one will help them, New Orleans should take a good hard look at their own corrupt "chocolate" mayor and the even worse governor.

  • i dont know anyone who is buying anything other than saints tickets, and gas post katrina down here... this isn't about left vs right, or black vs white.... this is about a historic major u.s. port city that was here before the u.s. was flooded with water for 6 months.. b/c the a.c.o.e. didnt do there job. our politicians are corrupt but who's arnt. we have hurricains, other people have volcanoes, tsunamies, earthquakes tornadoes.. so dont give me that shit.

  • Ray Nagin DID turn away contractors who were trying to help. That the papers back in March DID report how La government had been sitting on the Road Home money. When we went to the bank to apply for our loan to fix our house on the northshore, the ppl there told us about HUNDREDS of ppl who took their money and bought TVs, jet skis, boats, cars, lottery tickets, etc. instead of fixing their houses. Blanco had that money for OVER A YEAR and just sat on it.

  • OMFG this is CRAZY! why the fuck isn't someone helping them!!!!!! like the guy siad, we can send a man to the moon but we can't help hurricane victims! you'd think after 2 years this would not be a problem in AMERICA! but it is.

  • I'm not hangin' my head, but my government should be. Please view searchword wilburjr-thanks.

  • Two years after Katrina and thousands are still w/o homes.

    Talk to GW fucken Bush.

  • No...talk to KB fucken Blanco who has had the money for well over a year, and has sat on it and not given it out to her own people.

  • What is seriously up with this meaningless dichotomy of "left vs. right" etc? And comments with people insulting each other? Wow. Well, for my first question it's the real people who rule this country that have us under their control with that age old dichotomy. Now, this video was made so we can see how the Katrina victims are still being greatly affected & to have us do something to help them. We need to band together to aid our fellow citizens.

  • Just like Iraq ,George Bush is going to leave the problem of rebuilding New Orleans to the next president.

  • Stop spending BILLIONS to kill Iraqis who have NEVER harmed America in human history and start spending money to help America.

  • Right! We should spend those billions to educate dumbfuck retard liberals like yourself!

  • best storm to date!!!!!!!!!!

  • You're a sick sick fuck.

  • All the money went to Bush's friends via NO BID CONTRACTS! if you do research into this disaster it will make you sick when you find out the facts. America is at it's worst thanks to Bush and co. In all my years I have never seen this country so bad off. Bush is the worst leader in world history!

  • Its impossible to believe that this disaster is still being felt, its happened with the floods in england although not even close to what happened in New Orleans, Bush and Brown need to give money to people to help them and not to arms and war!

  • No one is safe from a flooding disaster whether you live above or below sea level. I suggest you take a good look at what is happening around the country. Oklahoma residents lived way above sea level but flooded from Tropical Storm Erin. Your a disgraceful American, msb8134. Get educated on the current events of your country!

  • So are you saying that we should fork over additional billions to be been wasted by the corrupt local govt and build a new levy system capable in order that we can return these people to their homes? What do they care where they live? as long as the Post office can reach in our pockets and mail them a check. Why are people still in FEMA housing 2 years later??? It never take Miss and Florida this long to "recover". Why is that??You are the one that needs education...wake the fuck up!

  • Don't live below sea level if you and your childrens dont have no boat and need welfare to put chicken thighs and chitlins on yo table bitch!

  • Does anyone want to comment on the BCIS?

  • omg people its been 2 years and its like nothing has changed!! millions of dollars and thousands of people after katrina came there to help out and its still a wreck! dane i guess that storm was really horible...but horible enough that the same damage is still there even after 2 years??

  • Anyways, I'm out. Have fun, kiddos.

  • i had to go through that "/

  • this comment is from a friend whose reading all this stuff. "all i'm saying is when you get your 2008 escalade and latest model louis vuitton handbags, send me your used ones"

  • How about this, we agree to disagree on Iraq and get back to the topic of this thread?

Damn funny how no matter what the topic is, someone always diverts it to the WOT.

  • You act like they are not connected. This war is the biggest boondoggle when much of the wasted money over there could be used investing in America, rebuilding it so stuff like Katrina doesn't happen again. And btw, you are about the worst troll ever. You need to find some useful way to spend your time rather than posing stupid right-wing talking points from watching Hannity too much.

  • They aren't connected. You can love the war or hate the war but it has nothing to do with Katrina or the response thereof. And no, this money shouldn't be used to rebuild New Orleans, our government is supposed to defend its citizens, not buy them a new house because they were too stupid to get flood insurance (or the right amount of flood insurance).

  • Dude.....I even gave you reasons why they are connected. The budget that is being attributed to Iraq is a huge amount of money and even a bit of that could have prevented this. So don't tell me they're not connected.

  • By the way I don't watch Hannity, even though we are on the same side of the political spectrum, but nice attempt at pigeonholing. It says a lot about how weak your argument is.

  • Oh yeah, coz all those right-wing talkers aren't crazy. Whoever you watch-O'Reilly, Boortz, Hannity, Glenn Beck, Savage, whoever....they all basically smear people who actually want to resolve problems. So don't act like you're some kind of reflective, thoughtful thinker.....a lot of right-wing talk is just insulting and name-calling. That is playground stuff.

  • im from the new orleans area and alot of the people are coming back and getting their house back together. alot of people that had houses and were destroyed didnt have house insurance, flood or wind insurance. so they really cant blame anyone for why that havent gotten any money. no one owes it to them. next time get some type of insurance.

  • To all the Bush and Rush lovers and all other assorted morons...

The Liar-and-Chief admitted the levees were a federal responsibility on his recent PR BS trip to New Orleans.

Under NORMAL law, negligence that results in death and destruction demands compensation.

In between your visits to the Men's Rooms at airports looking for fellow Bish-ites, maybe you guys could crack a book every now and then and learn something.

  • To iching: You're a mental midget. It's people like you that made me rethink my liberal beliefs and become part of the Vast Right wing conspiracy.

  • Hah, nevermind. You're a Michael Moore-on. That says all I need to know.

  • so sead

  • Why is it the federal goverments fault? To provide for a common defense....This matter is a state and local matter...NOT the federal goverment...you want sombody to blame, but your passing the blame where it does not belong. STATE AND LOCAL GOVERMENT screwed up! Not the Federal Govt.

  • If the Federal government never showed up, new orleans would have been better off. The acerbate the problem....

  • Do any of you idiots below have any idea what it's like to be poor. There aren't a lot of options open for poor people, and they're last in line for everything. I'll bet many of you think you're good christians too. You make me sick.
