I won't thumb down this video, but I've seen COVER BANDS do better than this. And Face it, Wolfgang shouldn't even be on this stage. Some things are jusr better left alone as they were....RIP VH.
@snarlingrabiddog5150 LOL. I feel bad for Wolfgang, here. I mean, the kid was like 14 when this was shot, so he's obviously not going to have the chops or swagger of Michael Anthony. However, I watched some video from the Cafe Wha? show and in the four/five years since this was recorded, he's become a beast on the bass. Yeah, it's not really VH without Anthony, but give the kid a chance this time around. I think he'll impress you.
@horrorview Well after watching this again, I have to agree. It just BAFFLES ME why on earth they got rid of Michael Anthony. If they knew how much we WANT TO SEE THEM ALL TOGETHER and Dave would just get rid of those silly damn hats, it would be a nice show to watch. I'm 46 so I'm a Sammy Hagar, pre-VH fan, and fan of VH with him in it. I'll give Wolfie a chance, lol. You may be onto something there ;) I just miss the old days
@snarlingrabiddog5150 Eddie has been saying in interview after interview since the mid 90s that he'd like to perform live with his son. He's doing it. He pleased you. We should allow him this. Wolfgang is a monster bass player anyway. He obviously has practiced.
@tommyrock69 Thats not my point. Its just not Van Halen without Michael Anthony....its just my opinion; I need to listen to Wolfie a bit more because people seem to think he's very good. I can see why he's there, I just miss the old VH of the early 1980's. Times change and so do people. I will admit, he does very well with the band....its just not Van Halen to me without Anthony. 3 years ago today, May, 30, 2008 on a Friday night! I saw Van Halen at the Allstate Arena Chicago, IL Man, what can I say, probably the best Van Halen show on the whole tour! The energy was unbelievable! Eddie played his ass off and I was very Happy to see how Happy and sober Eddie was! The crowd was so fucking loud when David Lee Roth said "Look at all the people hear tonight!" Me and my friend were going fucking nuts the whole show! after the show we went to Denny's 1230am VAN HALEN THANK YOU

Requests for my fav band from my youth:
1.) Diamond Dave would pattern his wardrobe/demeanor more on Frank Sinatra and less on Elton John
2.) Edward would learn more about engineering his own stage sound, less about marketing his overpriced line of guitars/amps
3.) Wolfgang would try being a better version of himself or a better version of Michael Anthony, rather than half-assing both
4.) Alex would quit letting engineers push him around and go back to being as loud as he was in the early 80s
