  • Overall I believe EyeFinity is more definative on the picture , will Nvidia Surround allow watching a movie across all 3 screens ?

  • Amd/atis card do support 3d..

  • @devrerffs Yeah, but as far as I'm concerned only Zalman is compatable with ATI. (Not Nvidia)

  • now thats nice to have, But in the real world how can it work? I mean the price for each monitor i am sure would be expensive... and some people havent got the room to do so.....

Nice tho if i had the cash

  • They need to make so you can use three projectors instead of three monitors.

    The bezels are annoying.

    Projections have no bezels.

  • @Neitzluber Don't know if there's any 120hz monitors for 3D but hooking up multiple projectors via DVI is certainly possible and has been done before.

  • @kiashadowwave

Do you mean 120hz projectors? Yeah, they are not hard to find.

You can get a good one for $500... basically you can buy three and if you also have a dark room and a good surface on which to project, you basically have a 150" 48:9 ratio screen... and in 3D... with no bezels, all for like $1500.

  • @Neitzluber Yeah I meant projectors. I didn't know they made 120hz models. There's actually some really cool videos of a guy with 3 projectors playing games on Youtube.

  • @kiashadowwave

I've been looking for his videos, but I can't find them. What's his username?

  • @Neitzluber BHawthorne72 has a few videos. I just searched for "3 projector gaming" and a Burnout Paradise one was #6. They aren't 3D projectors, though. Still impressive.

  • @kiashadowwave

    Thanks.

There really would be no point of posting 3D gameplay on YouTube, since nobody can see the 3D...

  • This is what I want to do long term, but I don't think it's that easy. Current 120hz PJ are like 120hz TV's, they don't support 120hz input you have to interlace. Not to mention a $500 120hz pj is going to have pretty low rez vertically.

  • Holy shit. What would I give for a $5000 set up like this. I'd spend more time on my pc than I already do TT.TT

  • i ike to try this on my 2xhd5970 6 screens

  • GF100 can SMD!

    GF104 <3

  • Why the camera do not put on 3D glasses??!?@@

  • @esdymo camera had 1 eye so it ont work >.<

  • When is this coming out?

  • Peripheral vision is way exaggerated compared to RL so I suggest you cut down the FoV.

  • nvidia and ati both suck. voodoo is the best.

  • WARNING: There is no Driver available to run 3D surround. Do not waste your money, not yet anyway. Nvidia have delayed the driver release until Summer at the earliest.

  • This is just a rip off of ATI

  • @hihi2111 just like ATI is going to rip off nvidia's 3D vision, so don't whine ATI fanboy.

  • @shySileNceR

Exactly... ATI has a 3d solution far superior to 3d vision ready by Q3. And it will be able to use crossfire and 3d using only one gpu.

  • @hihi2111 i nvr knew that ati had 3d vision surround

  • I see some frame skipping in this demo. Not good

  • That's probably why nvidia hasn't released the GF100 yet :) But overall it looks good :D

  • if i have an alienware m17x laptop will i be able to do this with seperate monitors? i already ordered 1 120hz monitor but would i be able to do the surroun thing with another 2?

  • I don't think so... but I could be wrong.

  • why dont the tell or show the Fps

  • This is simply AWESOME!

  • Jeez so 3 120hz monitor and a GF100 just to get a sorta Eyefinity feel in 3D? That's like $700+ for the monitors on top of a $1000 rig and god knows how much the GF100 is gonna be.

  • This technology is for enthusiasts looking to get as much into the game as possible. What do you by a "sorta" Eyefinity feel? Are you implying this is inferior to Eyefinity? 3D Vision Surround is superior, because it supports S3D and multimonitor mode, whereas Eyefinity can't do S3D (although it will, soon).

  • This technology is inferior to Eyefinity, with Eyefinity you could use one card to run tree monitors. But with this you must have at least two Fermi cards, that also means u have to pay more, alot more

  • No, it's superior. The fact that it costs more doesn't change the fact that's it's superior. To run three displays in S3D requires SLI or Crossfire. There's no one card powerful enough to do that while maxing out a game at high framerates.

  • Please Youtube "Efaco"

  • @Spectralancer Today they do have a card that supports Nvidia 3d now.

  • @Spectralancer YES THERE IS. ANY NVIDIA GF CHIP WHICH HAS A MODEL NUMBER OVER NINETHOUSAND.

  • why are you complaining? if you can't afford it, don't buy it or complain, it's not Nvidia's fault you didn't make better decisions in life, and don't have patience to be able to save up money.

people go out and blow $3000 on HDTV's and that's hardly comparable to the experience you will get with something like this.

don't think about what your paying for, think about what your getting for what your paying for, a very immersive experience with hundreds of games for years to come.

  • just because the price is more does not mean that it's inferior to Eyefinity, that's not rational, is a Bugatti Veyron inferior to a 1989 Honda Accord?

so it costs more for Nvidia's solution, which is fine, it's ignorant to think a company that offers more should charge the same price of a company that offers less.

  • @1981z28camaro

Actually Eyefinity is superior to Surround Vision from a technical standpoint, but 3D Vision is hands down superior a 3D solution than ATI's.

  • @LOLitsJono well Nvidia's Surround feature allows for Bezel Correction, last I heard ATI didn't have that, unless they have changed it, and Bezel Correction is key, I don't want to see TWO sniper scopes... lol

  • @1981z28camaro

Yes, for ATI it's called Bezel Compensation.

  • @LOLitsJono ok then, well in that case I think both companies multi monitor support is probably equal then.

  • @1981z28camaro eyefinity is better, i have yet to see another graphics reg handle 4 graphics cards and 24 monitors on 6 gb of ram and a minimal power supply

  • choosing this argument of buying more than one GPU is such a silly argument, you have people like "efaco5" that buy TWO 5970's and everyone says "Wow, nice system!"

most people plan on doing SLI or Crossfire anyways, the most common question I hear about motherboards is:

"Can this motherboard do SLI, and Crossfire?"

you don't HAVE to get 3D Vision ready monitors anyways, if you get the GF100, no ones telling you, you have to have a better experience.

  • @AsbjornBJ

You cant do the 3D with eyefinity can you? Will it support 3 monitors with 120hz running to each of them?

  • so basicaly... if there would be a plasma tv with 120Hz HDMI input then it should work with those glases and the nVidia 3D vision graphic card...

We wanted to buy some plasma TV after so many years...the old TV has already 20yerard passed...should I wait? or any 120Hz works

  • God I hope people don't comment saying "This isn't 3D, why are they saying it's 3D, I don't see 3D"

that's because your not smart, that's why.

  • Do you still have to have a 120hz monitor? If so I guess I'm out. I'd never give up my IPS panel with it's superior image for that.

  • lol, not like you would notice a huge difference between the two, besides, you'll get smoother gameplay with a 120 hz monitor.

  • @1981z28camaro IPS panel is very noticeably better image out of game, I do use my pc for other stuff too! I just returned Samsung LED monitor it's color sucked compared to my old NEC multisync 20wmgx2 I'm spoiled now : (

  • What's an IPS and why is its color reproduction so great out of game?

  • @Spectralancer It's the lcd panel, IPS- In plane switching, used for your higher end monitors, maybe doing professional work, like photo editing and video editing. I've had mine for years and love it, got a samsung led monitor lately and had to take it back, color and gamma shift to much with the slightest movement. Googl IPS panel. Commonly current apple monitors use this technology. I've been spoiled. : (

  • lol, well why don't you buy a 120 hz monitor, and have it next to your IPS panel, then when you play games you can use the 120hz monitor, and when you're doing photo editing you can use the IPS panel.

honestly, your IPS panel maybe be noticeably better, but it's not going to be like 100 times better, LCD's still have respectable image quality.

  • Are you on WSGF? Someone said something similar about IPS panels on there.

  • @Spectralancer I don't know what that is, sorry.

  • Widescreen Gaming Forum.

  • @Spectralancer possibly, look at thier screen name, I commonly use the same one at all web sites. Deanzsyclone

  • I love it. great video. Cant wait for the Fermi. Just got my 3d glasses. :)
