This is cool. My Grandfather on my father's side was from Wales. Never knew him but my little brother and his wife visited there around 1990. Interesting old dialect.
Oh my gosh! I have been researching my family tree today, and there are so many Welsh names! I was just thinking gosh, I wonder what the Welsh language sounds like, and how the heck to pronounce these! How is that for timing . . .

You are very lucky to have the vocabulary and pronunciation. At this point I can put together fairly complex grammar, but lack the vocabulary to have a conversation passed anything extremely basic.
Weird. I only have the vocab cause in wales they make a thing of having everything written in english and and welsh so its quite easy to pick up words,people dont speak Cymraeg in south wales so I dont have a chance to make sentences.I did try to use basic welsh at work like shw mae bore da but my co workers thought I had a stroke or something,so i gave it up.

You have beaten me at welsh already.I cant put a sentence together,but my Vocabulary isn't to bad, I just cant put it together.
