THIS IS NOT A MUMMY come on people it's a shame to connect tomb of the dragon to the mummy and mummy returns , Rachel was so good and the story it self changed it should connect to Egypt it was fantastic this way , i think tomb of the dragon is a chiness movie which took the mummy characters

The Mummy franchise has always been cheesy, but this movie takes things to a whole new level. It's such a loud, dumb and empty film. I hated it. Even the special effects weren't that good. Especially the snowman was just horrible. Do yourself a favor and skip this movie.
The first two Mummy movies had better special effects than the third one and the first two were like from... ten years ago! WTF?! Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was a mistake. They couldn't even get Rachel Weisz back! I'm disappointed.
I must say that the movie isn't all that bad. I wasn't disappointed...but then again I had low expectations to begin with. The first mummy is great, the second is pretty good, and the third is decent. Really it is just a fun summer action movie, not to be over analyzed. I would give it a 6/10. The mysterious character portrayal of the mummy is gone. The 2nd and 3rd films are more straight forward.

Maria Bello is a fine actress but she does not fit the role of Evie at all. You can't forge an accent, most of the time Maria's sounded so fake.
This Movie lacks the Magical and Mystical feel of the first two films in the series. The First Two Just felt once again magical and Mystical and well put together and well written. This film lacks any supernatural chills. Maybe I just like the Egyptian theme better.
Brendan Fraser and John Hannah were brilliant, but the new Evie was pants!!! If they had to change the actress it should have been another British actress like Kate Winslet or Kate Beckinsdale. Their son looked like he must have had a paper round with no bike, he was that worn out for an 18 year old!!

I had high hopes for this movie. That were quickly dashed. This movie could have been 1/2 hour shorter with all the unnecessary scenes. Replacing the main female character with another ALWAYS a bad move (Rachel is Evelyn). Scenes to be deleted:fishing scene,book reading,Evelyn typing, Irish guy buying the nightclub, Evylyn's brother leaving in a cab going to Peru.
Well all of those i agree, but maybe the peru thing was necessary.Cuz they did say there were mummys in peru at the end of the movie. so maybe a little hope for another mummy movie??

I liked the movie, not as I liked the 1 and the 2, because the movie was OK, but too many effects, and there were some things out of place, and the change of the actors was one of them.
I actually liked the move more so than the first two. Maybe I have bad taste, I thought it was really funny, full of action and had interesting mythical creatures.

Most disappointing movie of the summer, total rubbish!I've seen it all before. I was dissappointed with INDY IV, but this really makes Indy look better. My advice: don't bother, you've seen it all before.And some of these audience members are idiots!

I saw it and it was so bad it was hilarious. Theres this one scene where a train trolley blows up in firey explosion and people just walk out of it. Go see it when you're drunk, it's hysterical.

My Review, The Mummy 3 was ehh.
Maria Bello is a fine actress but she does not fit the role of Evie at all. You can't forge an accent, most of the time Maria's sounded so fake.
This Movie lacks the Magical and Mystical feel of the first two films in the series. The First Two Just felt once again magical and Mystical and well put together and well written. This film lacks any supernatural chills. Maybe I just like the Egyptian theme better.

Brendan Fraser and John Hannah were brilliant, but the new Evie was pants!!! If they had to change the actress it should have been another British actress like Kate Winslet or Kate Beckinsdale. Their son looked like he must have had a paper round with no bike, he was that worn out for an 18 year old!!

i was very dissappointed with this movie it was rubbish. The first 2 mummies where much better but this one just did not have the
heart the first 2 movies had. Its like they just made the movie for the money. The storyline was awful and flawed and the cgi was used way too much. There was absolutely no chemistry between brendan fraser and the new one who played racheal. John Hannah should have had more screen time too. Maybe if arnold vosloo had have returned it may have been slightley better.

4) the plot... so a chinese guy turns into stone and gets revived by some stone thing ( which they gave no background information on).
So this stone becomes a passage way to a fountain were the guy turns into a dragon and brings his army back to life and trys to rule the world? seems simple.. unless you watch the movie then it will seem a little bit more confusing...
wel yeah thats what i didnt like about the movie... theres a couple more things but im probably boring you all so yeah

Their was so many flaws to this movie
1) the visual effects are as believable if pixar tried to create a live action movie with there cartoonish cgi
2) The bad jokes... cmon if your gonna make a joke it has to at least be funny
3)The acting... They always seem to be looking if their in a good mood... cant they act a little bit more stressed out?

I had high hopes for this movie. That were quickly dashed. This movie could have been 1/2 hour shorter with all the unnecessary scenes. Replacing the main female character with another ALWAYS a bad move (Rachel is Evelyn). Scenes to be deleted:fishing scene,book reading,Evelyn typing, Irish guy buying the nightclub, Evylyn's brother leaving in a cab going to Peru.

I didn't think it was that bad..god fun light entertainment. The only thing bad were the occasionally cringeworthy jokes. I thought the mythology of it (te dragon emporer, the terracota army, shangri la, The tomb etc.) was better than the 1st 2.
