Your thinking about it is robotic and not howe it works. You do a lock when the opportunity presents itself maybe after a sharp strike to your ooponent, when hes hurt you can possibly imediately dso a lock while hes stunned or hurt from a punch, but of ocurse sum1 wont jsut stand there, but its trianed that way so when you no exactly how to do them, you can do it if usm1 starts on you, and maybe you will be able to do it if you trained enough.
Typical critique of someone who knows little about martial arts specifically and the human body in general. The arm and wrist locks are applied by stressing the nerves in the arms and hand. The more he resists the more pain he subjects himself to.
you see what your capable of seeing through your limited training. Actually most arm locks are aplied by using the opponents resitants. People are either pulling the arm back or pushing the arm forward. It is taking advantage of the opponents power that make the techniques work. Arm locks work better when using the attackers resistants.
nice stuff, so is this bushido? It sounds Japanese. Oh well it doesnt matter. I study Jeet Kune Do and it teaches you how to learn and how to start, but to learn the details on acctually how to use the moves i learn from other people(TKD MT ect.) Thank you for these but there really hard to learn from a video because if you try it on your friend you will probably slip and not know where the joints lock in.
The term 'Grandmaster' means that he is the FOUNDER of his own Art/Style, It doesn't mean 'Grandfather' for God's sake! In Japanese, they use the term for meaning 'Head of the Clan/School', Which Daniel Verkerke definitely IS. If you need to check his credentials then DO SO, but don't act like you know what the hell you are talking about WITHOUT doing so FIRST!
Thanks for your infinate words of wisdom. After all you were 10 years old when this video was filmed. You must have great experience to pass such judgement.
Thank you for the compliment, my children are in their 20's. You should have enough wisdom by your age not to judge a book by it's cover, but then again age does not equall knowledge and wisdom.
hmm they are great techniques, also seem quite easy if you know how to do them, but actually they are really difficult to master -I was taught some but still could never do it on my friend.. :/
i like this not that aikido bullshit with the jumping and floating around
