  • Great, I want to see more. Thanks.

  • Thanks, very helpful!

  • Thanks for that very interesting, I really liked the effects earlier can you stop the auto paint and just use the background? Jackie

  • @TheSilvercat209

    Thank you for watching.

Sure you can stop the auto paint at any point you want. As simple as hitting the stop button.

You can also use as many layers as you want with different painting settings, brushes, etc to achieve some very interesting background effects.

    Cheers,

    ˜Jack

  • i like it very nice

  • @popsinggg

    thanks for watching.

    cheers,

    ~Jack

  • i love the song! garbage! wuhooo! :) thanks for the demonstration! I'm trying it now. :)

  • At the begining you state you will talk us through it!!!!!!!! When?

  • THANKS A LOTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the auto paint function is to allow for an easy and fun way for everyday people with no drawing or painting skill a way to add some kind of artistic look to pictures they own. corel draw is a great paint program, and i use it a lot in my work. and its not just an auto painting tool. it allows for a genuine painting feel. and is used by many professional digital artists. please dont assume its just something that paints for you, its much much more. Jackatmac was just demonstrating one feature.

  • painting? sorry this is photo manipulation.

  • btww what softwhere did u record the vidio with

  • hmmm... sorry. really don't remember the name. Now I'm using Screen Flow. Much better software.

  • seems like u dont paint.. the program paints for you.. seems a bit cheep in my oppinion.. cool as all hell.. but cheep

  • Thank you for watching.

Sorry if it looks cheap to you. Please remember this is just a software feature demonstration. Called auto paint for a reason, u know?

    Cheers, m8.

  • great video and thanx so much for helping , but each time i make the auto painting tool it stops and i have to click it several times is that normal ????

  • Not at all, unless you start the autopaint and move to another software. i.e. go check your mail while it's painting. Autopaint won't run in background. That may be your problem. Feel free to post again if the problem persists. I'll try to figure it out with you.

    Thanx for watching,

    Cheers,

    ˜Jack.

  • that's trueeeee thanx for helping :)

  • Ehhh...I don't know...why the clone...?I find it much better if I make it myself...Sure,it lasts,like,10 times longer, but it's worth it,when you know you did it by yourself, not by some petty copying abilities...

  • Reeeeeeeally? Well... post some artwork of yours, then we can talk.

    Cheers, mate.

  • @Hamashimura Agreed. [:

Even if the end result you drew doesn't look perfect, at least you're learning and developing some drawing skills.

  • we use this at school. right now we're doing shading in cars w/ decals and stuff . :)

    funnnn !

  • wish i could afford corel painter x

  • Great tutorial and fun to watch too

  • Thank you!

    Cheers,

    ~Jack

  • I'll answer that in a PM. Thanx for watching.

  • ehm, could you answer that here for the rest of us, I have the same problem :)

  • Thanks for the demonstration - it's great. Very helpful.

But why did you make 2 quick clones?

  • Oh. That was my mistake. I quick cloned it before applying the under-paint settings. So i closed the first quick clone and started again.

    Thanx for watching,

    Cheers,

    ~Jack

  • What's the 2 songs after garbage???

  • Linkin park - somewhere i belong

    linkin park- in the end

    i love linkin park lol

  • Nice job. You picked a good example to show people how easy it is to use this feature.

  • music?

  • HEY GREAT MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you do as nice of a job as i've seen using auto paint. what brush settings do you use? i've tried a bunch, but i can't seem to get away from the photoshop filter-y looking result, where i don't see that at all with your stuff. thanks for posting and keep up the good work!

  • oh, sorry, i saw you used the sargeant brush. got it.

  • Do you think its cheating I feel so guilty using this program somethings but then a artist friend of mine said theirs no roles Just tools... lol

  • Lovely program, great technology! Cheers must try it.

  • Haha! Super!!

  • Thank you for watching!

  • Nice :)

  • Thank you.

    Cheers!

  • wonderful video, thank you for sharing!!!

  • Hey, thank YOU for watching.

    Check for new videos soon.

    Cheers!

    ~Jack

  • Thank you, I will - I subscribed! ;-D

  • bid deal u can do this in photoshop....filters....imo photshop will always be bestm, plus its mainstreamed used

  • First of all, no you can't do this in photoshop. I use photoshop every day. it's part of all my workflows. When i'm photopainting, I treat my images in photoshop before and after I paint them. I use corel painter for what it does best: simulate realistic brushes. And if you ever used a tablet you know what i mean.

Put one thing in your mind, thou: this is creative work, not software brand war. I use the tool that gives me the best results in each particular part of the workflow.

    Cheers!

  • lol lol i aint gonna bother argueing each to their own i guess...good for you.....0_o

  • This is not arguing. It's a chance to learn with each other's experience. I'm always open to debate... Feel free to express your opinions.

    Cheers!

  • haha, both programmes are fantastic! im a digital character and animal designer, i paint in painter.. backgrounds and animals.. and touch up in photoshop, photoshop CANNOT do what i want,

  • very very nice

  • Glad you liked it.

    Thanx for watching.

    Cheers!

  • Thanx, m8.

    Cheers!

  • Can you show me how to make line art sing Corel Painter X?

  • Yes. I'll send you a PM.

    Thanx for watching.

  • wow, noceee

  • Thanx for watcihng!

  • LOL, that's easy! :)

  • yep!

  • please help, i use painter 9 i recently made an image using the crayons brush. which file type or file extension would deliver me the same result on printing

  • Hi! Glad to help.

If your file is going straight to print, i strongly recommend that you save it as uncompressed TIFF.

If you want to take the file to photoshop for further development, PSD is the way to go. A PSD will keep your layers and the quality of the file.

Rule of thumb here is stay away from file formats that compress your image (jpeg, gif,...). Each time you compress the image you loose detail, increase the noise and generate color anomalies.

PM me if you need more help.

    Cheers!

  • thankyou so much

  • Anytime.

    Thank you for watching.

    Cheers!

  • Cool

  • Thanx, m8. Cheers!

  • good video buddy! very helpful

  • Glad I could help.

    Thank you for watching.

    Cheers!

  • Please what is the name of the music on your movie? i dont know, how is the name?

  • "I Think I'm Paranoid" by Garbage, "Somewhere I Belong" and "In The End" by Linkin Park.

  • i like it!

  • Thank you. Me too.

  • This is not a tutorial. Just a demonstration.

Maybe i'll make myself more clear if i say in

the description what the video is not,

instead of just what it is.

    Sorry you wasted your time.

    Have a good day.

  • omg. people like you exist??!!

  • and what exactly do you mean?

  • how much does corel painter x cost?

  • $ 379,00 US

    $ 199,00 if you're upgrading.

  • When I try doing this my final product looks to real and not very painterly. Is there something I might need to change?

  • Sure. You can try different brushes and brush settings. In this video I'm using the the Sargent brush variant with smart stroke and smart settings. Applying smart blur to the original image also helps giving a more paintly look. And off course, removing some background is usually a good idea too.

Hope it helps. Msg me if u need more info.

    cheers, m8!

  • Oh! and remember that you can stop the autopaint at anytime. Just click on the image or the stop button. Also, depending on your image res. the process can be very fast. if that's the case, reduce the autopaint speed, so you can get more control.
