Gambia used to be a great place for a family holiday about 15 years ago, but now it is full of beggars, prostitutes and bloody mosques everywhere you go.
My wife and kids just won't go there anymore.
And the worst thing about it is the vile muslim dictator president, Yayah Jammeh, who has destroyed the place and is trying to bring in a law to execute Gambians gays.
Tourism has fallen dramatically in the last 10 years.
Go to Ghana - its much better as a destination.

@hungryle My friend i've seen your fellow country men and women in The Gambia, im going to get the great German Homer3152 to go there...he's already asked me about getting a video of the hotel...Oh back to the question What am im doing in the middle of nowhere?....my uncle lives there 6 months of the year then he moves to his place in France and here in the UK for the rest of the other 6 months, i stayed in a hotel cos he now has a black woman and her family living with him so theres no room.
