Me singing Honesty by Billy Joel

This reminds me of taking a copy of Billy Joels greatest hits to Turkey when I travelled around the country (not the east of course lol) in 1996. Not vinyl, cassette.

Cassette! I remember those. A vast majority of my collection is 12 inch singles, and there are thousands. I accumulated all those from doing some DJ'ing in the 80's. Believe it or not. There are some cassettes that are collectors items. One I know for sure is "Introspective" by "The pet shop boys".

I'm flattered that you think I am using that software. I do have pitch correction software called Melodyne but I don't use it on my own voice. It's very useful when I have friends coming around to my house to record covers as they often have pitch problems. It makes them sound so good :)

I've never really been one for entering competitions, and besides, I am British, living in the U.K., so I wouldn't qualify for that competition.

I am working towards possibly releasing an album of my own material at some point in the future. This Youtube is pretty good fun though :)

I have no idea yet. The problem with knowing the value of something unique, is that there is no precedent. So it's the sort of thing that would possibly go to auction. Then it depends on how many interested parties would be bidding on it :)

nice job and the song, i was in new york about 8 years ago and suddenly about 250 gathered, with me being slightly nosey i went to see what was happening and in the middle of the crowd was billy joel chatting to elton john, now billy is my idol so for me i was over the moon to see him, after about 5 mins they gave each other a hug and went their seperate ways, the crowd went their seperate ways too half followed billy and the other half followed elton it was awesome, seen billy live hes the best

elton is great too seen him live a few times as well, billy for me is up their with the greatest songwriters of all time, id say he was the greatest but i bias, but certainly billy writing something for elton would be awesome. the thing with elton and bernie taupin though is they wrote all their best stuff in the 70s and 80s when they was drunk. almost makes you wish he'd start drinking again (only joking) billy and elton are the ultimate performers. both awesome..

I think that accents in song are universal. most of them sound similar. There are some exceptions though :)

Most of the music I use for the cover versions on here are from backing tracks. I have some of my own songs on here too. My computer and some pretty good recording software makes it all possible. As well as a half-decent microphone and 2 guitars :)

Well, I suppose that "Russ conway" is not as collectible as Elvis and the Beatles, but it is a medley of Beatles songs, and it is the only red copy in existence. The rarest record I've ever heard of has about 3 copies in the world, and that is valued quite highly too :)
