  • and i dont wnat to forget the world cup of italy 1990..

  • romario scores the most goals number in officially games .. then let's ask ourselves what if romario had the chance to play in the world cups 1998 and 2002 and even 1986 when the brasilian coach tele santana chosed Muller in place of romario!!! im sure if he could play those 3 world cups he could be now winner of 2 or 3 of them!! another question: what if he doesn't left fc barcelona!!?? what if he could played with them 4 or 5 years!!??? .. guys you know the answer..

  • @ vagflu07

Romario never scored more than 500 goals!

Maradona and PELE are tops! As for messi...he's on his way!

  • @shaz9548 What about the great Johan Cruijff?

  • For me the greatest !!

  • Greetings from England. Romario is a legend, a footballing genius. As others have already said about him, forget his lifestyle off the pitch. I am in my 40s, and I have seen some fantastic players, but this man is the greatest goalscorer I have ever seen in my lifetime, nobody comes even close. Great video, thanks!

  • One of my top 5 favourite football vids on you tube

  • IMMENSE video god I love it!

  • The greatest attacking player ever. Even Maradona admits it!!

  • Romario my idol was the best Brazilian striker and would score every time if losing or winning simply one of the best ever

  • The best striker ever! It don´t matter the things he used to do outside the pitch, or the things he used to say!

Romario scored more than 1000 goals!

  • cr ronaldo and messi are overrated, they just dont have the 'charisma'.

you dont have to watch all messi's goals because they are all the same, no variety, he has not pure talent like romario.ronaldo, rivaldo, ronaldinho and many others.OK Messi is the best player now and will probably be the best for many years BUT he will never reach this level

  • @arzal18 u want overrated . david beckham is overrated

  • and the stupid ronaldinho had every thing to be the best in the game history but he blown every thing up

  • @mesho512 Not really. He couldn't elevate his teammates play the way Zidane, Maradona, Baggio etc did. Ronaldinho didn't accomplish much considering how many great players he was surrounded with.

  • @APBTerriers i know he hadn't .. but I'm talking about the natural talent and technical abilities not the leadership abilities and of course not the achievements (his achievements wasn't bad at all though especially with the barca and as an individual )

  • @mesho512 Ronaldinho had a lot raw talent. If only he had the brain.

  • @APBTerriers I think he had the brain too but he lacks the real passion for football and his brain are concerned with parties and women not football ... that is why i call him the biggest idiot in football history he could be one of the greatest if not exceed them all but he doesn't care for that he cares only for money which he has plenty of and women who got him down ... i'm really sad for him but he simply is an idiot who don't care

  • @mesho512 Well said.

  • @mesho512

I wouldn't say he lacked passion bro. More that he just loved partying and women just as much. The guy LOVED the game, just nt committed to it. Doesn't mean that he didn't have the passion for it.

  • why havent the 30 million people who have viewed the CR7 vid seen this one - theyd learn a lot about football.

  • The greatest thing about youtube is that where before people argued out of their preconceived, biased opinions, here is the greatest repository of actual evidence. After watching the Pele video, I was convinced he had no peers until I saw the Ronaldo vs. Goalkeepers tape and was blown away. But, after watching this, I'm not so sure. Romario combines Bergkamp's ball reception skills--trapping, chesting--with Maradona's dribbling, but he also adds a deadly finishing touch. Just incredible.

  • ronaldo and romario r the best strikers ever

  • SOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

  • Better than Messi

  • @dpn1983 yes he is

  • Romario is the best at finishing. He makes it look so easy. Superb positioning sense, technique and perfect finishing skills.

    Top top quality!

  • LoL just found out something funny ! Romario was in Barcelona two years ! Then he went and then ronaldo came ! He was there 1 year and then he went and ,,, rivaldo came ;D but if it isnt enough when rivaldo went away ronaldinho came :D

  • Always love Romario's technique. He could put the ball past the goalkeeper with frightening ease.

  • Romario woudl be the best striker in the world if he coudl arrive on the world stage at age 26 again. for sure. Better than Torres , SIlva, Drogba, Rooney, Fabiano, Messi.

Imagien how many goals he would score in England? I'm betting 38 League goals per season alone.

  • Romario - the coolest and most lethal striker I have ever seen. The man had nerves (and other anatomic features :-) ) of steel - bearing down on goal he NEVER panics, he is just totally single-minded and ruthless, and he exudes supreme belief in his ability to score. If you were a goalie, he'd be the last man in the universe you'd want to see coming towards you with the ball !

  • Romario fue una BESTIA hacia parecer que el futbol es algo sencillo por la genialidad que poseia.

  • He makes it look like so easy... omg

  • what a player, no words for it

  • this video must have so much more views, it deservs at least 10 milion views! what a genius..

  • Video is a great! Romario is a great player! Tell me the name of the song, please???

  • @pornodo: dickhead zidane is behind ronaldo but not romario!

  • Anyway, Romario was the best center-forward ever!

Ronaldo was physically stronger but technically worse.

Ronaldo deppends too much on his physical shape what was clear after the time he had to stop playing(2 years). Another Ronaldo "was born" and he was not even " a shadow" of that Ronaldo of Internazionale after that even when he participated the world cup 2k2.

Both Pelé and Romário have similar official number of goals (800 and something). They were not normal, they were excellent.

  • @zehdoboneh Technically BOTH Romá and Ronal are Pure Masters.

The Ron after the 2 first serious injur. achieved so much.. Wcup (8 gls, winner), FifasWPla.of the year, Top-scorer in La Liga 2x, winner of Intercontin.Cup; amazing goals (104 with Real); 15 in WCs; Supercup and 2 Ligas (03/ and 07) with Real.. He continued to score with Brazil Squad (top-scorer in S.America Qualif. to WC06), reaching 73 goals in 96 match. And won 2 titles with Corinthians, at 33, reborned, and still scoring

  • @Joaopandao I see. I did not mean to say something negative about him.

I just mentioned one of the things that impressed me when watching playing soccer/footbal.

    He was amazing.

  • Legend!!

  • Romario is the synonym of perfect definition...

    No comparasion to others.

Look how the ball is allways clos to the post ant far from the goal keeper,,,no matter how difficult was the shot.., a perfect player will have to has his scoring technique

  • cartoon player.

  • What did you record this video on? A potato?

    -.-

  • @J0ker4u is that a silly comment?

If you think abotu it this is a copy of a copy of ca copy, or a recording of a recorgin of a recording with old footage.

  • @J0ker4u :D:D:D

  • Romario played football like Miles Davis played jazz.

  • 5:46 is ma favorite i love the way he goes past the italian defenders and the goalkeeper to finish. ROMARIO is the greatest nobody comes close to him in the last 25 years, one of the best strikers of all time.

Very good video by the way (except the music :) but i would listen to anything as long as i watch 'O Baixinho' goals).

  • After Pelé only Romário!!!

  • i love this video - can't believe it has so few views.

  • romario and baggio were brilliant in 94-but as much as it pains me to say it brazil have'nt play attacking flair football since 1982,the last time a brilliant attacking side that was afraid of no-one was around,94 was defensivley won with players like dunga. taffarel, paliuca were two very good gkeepers, bebeto also very good

  • @pazzerhead

U are quite mistaken to say Brazil 1994 was defensive. Defensive was when Inter Milan play Barca last year at Nou camp. 1994 Brazil was an attacking force, just that they attack cautiously. For example, if they see that the attacking move has less than 50% chance of succeding, they pass the ball back, instead of going all out gungho style. Brazil 1958 can attack all out because they have players like Pele, Garrincha, Vava but they are at another level.

  • Immortal player, I consider him the best.

  • É o demônio jogando bola.....

  • @mojopin70 hey punk don't talk shit like dat go 2 sleep punk

  • hes as good as i remember him a genius

  • ROMÁRIO, RONALDO & ZIDANE = GODS OF FOOTBALL!!!

  • Messi a dribler, C.Ronaldo just a fast pace player. Please dont ever try to compare these 2 guys to complete footballers like ROMARIO and RONALDO LIMA. They are in no ramnification comparable. Ronaldinho would have been a comparison to his fellow brazillian senior colleagues but sucks too soon. Ronaldinho still not in the class of Messi or C.Ronaldo. With what he has played in the past he remains really superior to any of the 2 Raves of the moment.

  • @ogongolatus Sorry but Messi's not complete? He's ALOT more than just a dribbler and 47 goals 14 assists last season proves this. He has alot to his game. The lad is only 22 aswell, he's got another 10 years or more left untill he retires yet, so calm down.

But, no you shouldn't compare messi to ROmario. You know the main reason why? because they are from completley different generations!

  • Show common sense please................Football has no generations......if there is, then why are we hailing pele and maradona as the greatest footballers ever? And to say about messi, he is a good player....has some exceptional capabilities which he has demonstrated during his tenure but my dear friend what was in your mind when you were thinking about messi and romario. Romario is a legend.....a world cup winner for his country. Please if u respect futball, please dont compare them.

  • @dasvaisakh And u say there is no generations. Well How many live games of pele did u see? Exacly NONE. You're only really rating pele from what you've heard/seen on youtube rather than what u have seen yourself week in week out. It's a different generation of players now in a different era.

  • fut ball has no generations dude.....................Why do u think we still hail pele and maradona????

  • @dasvaisakh are maradona and pele still playing at their best today? No because they are too old now and it's a different generation of players. U can't compare a player from Peles era to a player of todays era as football changes.

also I wasn't comparing Romario to Messi. I was stating that they shouldn't be compared as they are from different eras. 1 is retired and the other is at the start of his career so its stupid comparing them.

  • @dasvaisakh of course there is generations, it's you who needs to use common sense. Maradona was the best player of his generation. Messi is the best of his gerneration(which is the generation of today), how can you say there isn't different generations? Do you even know what the word generation means? haha

  • see.....I dont want to argue with u...it will waste both of ours time. We arent the greatest futball experts, are we? You told about watching the live matches of pele and of course i admit that i have seen his plays only through you tubes and recorded playbacks. So what? Futbol experts and other great players hail him the greatest, why? Think!!! And abt Romario, i just was saying that he was a far better player than messi. Generation doesnt hover in the background when one's ability is taken.

  • @dasvaisakh It does when one is now retired and the other is still only 22 and basically at the start of his career. Even trying to compare the two is stupid. They don't even nessicarily play in the same positions either. by the way i wasn't saying Messi was better than Romario. Romario is one of the best players i've seen live.

  • @Hydro2oo9 shut the fuck up shit head. go argue somewhere else.

  • One of the best Romario videos I've seen. His touch, finesse and control of the ball is one the best I've ever seen.

  • 2:11

  • Romario is my name lol

  • awesome dude

  • holy hell! his acceleration and protection of the ball is unbelivable!

  • maradona is a drug addict piece of shit like all argentines are..fuck maradona motherfuker and fuck agentina fucking drug addicts

  • If Walt Disney had invented a footballer his name would be Romario. For those who never saw enough to see here on YouTube complete sets Barcelona vs Dinamo Kiev 1993/94 and Barcelona vs Real Madrid 1993/94. Romario had the ability to evade defenders with magic tricks removed from the streets of Rio de Janeiro

  • you need to know it was a playground back then. later on the managers learned from those mistakes and the structure the defence plays in is totally different so it's harder now.

  • Best striker ever.

  • an authentic predator of the area! this is one of the players that u cant give him the minimun oportunity cuzz he will make u pay! once i had the ball he already knew what he was gonna do! the best finisher i have ever seen!

  • first gol he looks like a dark maradona lol

  • astonishing skills

  • Best two players Romario and Savicevic in that order than maradona

  • maradona?

  • romario is good but second he is 2 class maradona!

  • @r10bajjio10 talking out your asshole

  • ronaldo zico carincha pele they are the true legends! romario is 1 step down

  • romario = overrated he is not as good as devine ponytale baggio and zidane! zidane out played brazil 3 times.

  • @r10bajjio10 dont be a shit head. zidane is just behind ronaldo and romario.

  • 4.00'' fantastic !

  • Romario and maradon are 2 best pleayer i've ever saw in my life, One step down there's Platini, van baster, Zidane, baggio, zico, ronaldino, both ronaldo. But The best ever i ever saw was maradona and romario hands down.

  • Pele e 10

    Romario e 11

  • romario and ronaldo are from another dimension

  • @Joaopandao

I would add Garrincha and Pelé, although they are at a much higher level.

  • @zehdoboneh Well, i dont know the "levels"... But, i know, from what i saw, based on MY taste (cause football is an Art), i can say MY top10 players: pelé ronaldo

    Van basten

    Baggio

     Platini

    batistuta Laudrup

    zidane Maradona

    Romário

(of course, Garrincha, Di Stefano, Puskas, Eusébio, Cruyff, G.Muller, Zico, Del Piero, Gullit, Stoichkov, G.Weah, Maldini, Shmeichel, Beckenbauer, Messi now..., are also all time greates ! )

  • @Joaopandao Pele -> Zico-> Romario-> Ronaldo-> Ronaldinho-> ?

  • Comment removed

  • @absolutezerocool why are you forgeting Garrincha?

  • @tbilisicentral Garrincha was evolutionary and a legend, but he played against slow walking pace players. R9, Dinho, Romário and Rivaldo are much stronger players. Rivelino, Pelé and Garrincha etc were the blue prints but the four R's are 10 times the players.

  • @Christoffski maybe, todays football is different, but those were classic...there is no real way to compare the players, give their lifetime, Garrincha had class, i bet in todays world he could have outsmart with his slower style most of fast pased todays players. its not about speed its about suddle movements, and Garrincha had those, that majority of todays players compensate with speed and agility. they lack the beauty. some possess it, most try hard to achieve it.

  • romario o rey , maradroga primero mira aprende y despues te comparas con pele

  • romario was not only super effective but also graceful. like combining michael jordan & dr.j

by the way for my fellow soccer nuts

there was a brazilian player named roberto batata who was supposed to be one the best. unfortunately he died ypoung, before i believe the 78 world cup.

    very finesse, first class

  • Just this is enough to show he surpassed maradona, but he stil scored 1000 goals.

Pelé, Romário (acording to the king),Ronaldinnho Gaúcho, Garrincha, Zidanne, Ronaldo...maybe Maradone, to mention a famous one.

  • From what I heard on tv from Sir Bobby Robson when he was at PSV, Romario was so good a player he was able to skip practice and show up whenever he wanted. The coach couldn't sit him on the bench though for punishment because they'd lose without him.

  • From what I heard on tv from Sir Bobby Robson when he was at PSV, Romario was so good a player he was able to skip practice and show up whenever he wanted. The coach couldn't sit him on the bench though for punishment because they'd lose without him.

  • Was he really better than Ronaldo? I can't believe it, but I'm too young too remeber Romario : / Anyway wonderful vid!

  • yes in my opinion , romario singe handedly won brazil the world cup in 94 with his genius thinking goals and runs , i dont blame u if u were young and didnt know of romario , he was a genius , but ronaldo could've surpassed him if it wasnt for that injury , nowadays thr arent many geniuses around , the likes of ronaldo messi and ... arent like what we witnessed when i was a kid watching, the likes of bagio romario ronaldo cruyff maradona rivaldo , those were the days

  • I must agree with amm00008. Ronaldo was a great player, but Romário was one step closer to perfection.

Romário has the most goals in the official matches in the history of football.

  • @amm00008 "nowadays thr arent many geniuses around , the likes of ronaldo messi and ... arent like what we witnessed when i was a kid watching, the likes of bagio romario ronaldo cruyff maradona rivaldo , those were the days"

Typical "in the past everything was better" reaction. You fail to forget that teams overall have become a lot better overall (I remember scores like 11-0 and 12-0 in Europe's Cup matches, which you don't see anymore) and it this context I consider Messi the best ever.

  • @QQozz yea the only reason it got better was cause of legends like these. if it wasn't for them the game wouldn't of evolved as fast as it has now. dumb ignorant bitch

  • @QQozz AHAHAHAHA. I was with you till you said Messi was the best ever. What a joke. Does that mean if someone gets 40 goals in 5 years time they're the best ever too? ahahaha. Madness.

  • @QQozz .lol yet man unt beat roma 7-1? chelsea beat 4 teams 10-0 last year you retard. emssi isnt close to being th ebest ever.maradonna would rape him anyday, even ronaldo before his injuries was far,far better.please dont be so ignorant.

  • @amm00008 damn how old are u

  • @amm00008 i agree now whoever is the fastest and strongest is usually the best..but these players had knowledge..the player i see with the most skill and brain in the game today is Xavi Hernandez.

  • @juanros71 Totti makes Xavi look like Danny Murphy. :P

  • Totti the one that made HIMSELF sit the bench??

o yea with that confidence hes better than xavi

  • @juanros71 He won the golden boot with metal pins and plates in his legs, never changed his style even though he was hacked to pieces and oh yeah - he's a way better passer of the football too. He dominated the Euro 2000 final and even Real had him as their first choice but when he rejected them settled for Zidane who on stats and goals/assists etc Totti also destroys. watch?v=bHiv3JngHoU&fmt=18 See that vision?? Totti is a million times more complete. But even he is nothing next to Romário!!!

  • @Christoffski Love that take down of whoever you were arguing against ;)

  • @amm00008 everything is better when you are a kid

  • @dinhotheone .lol true but no really those players would rape c ronaldo and messi easily.c ronalod doesnt have a genius streak what so ever, hes not even technique anywehre close to them, very overrated player. emssi is very good but again overrated.

  • @amm00008 ronaldo & messi are superior. stop day dreaming.

  • @AlizeCiz .lol dont be an idiot. messi is amazing ,c ronaldo doesnt even begin to compare to romarios genius, technique, brasilian skills, etc. and its c ronaldo not ronaldo.respect teh braslian legend not the overrated cunt from portugal.

  • The best forwards ive ever seen are Romario and Batistuta. I like Romario better tho :P

  • Comment removed

  • well most of the players you entiones arent forwards :P

  • Faltou Hristo Stoichkov no No 2

    Ronaldinho no lugar de Weah

e Messi no lugar de Batistuta

  • the best!
