Dane doesn't deserve to be as popular as he is comedians like daniel and steve are better. Steve is WAY under appreciated and daniel has made a name for himself, but his style is so similar to danes and he is funny on his own and deserves the success dane has. In my opinion. And dane can't even bring robin williams into it. Robin is an improvisational genius that none of the previous names mentioned above will ever match.

You know what? I've watched two of Steve's comedies andddd... What is he stealing? Even when he delivers a punchline by yelling, its not the same as Dane's. His rate of speech isn't the same, his method of acting out isn't the same. About the only thing they may have in common is that chuckle mid joke when acting out something followed by "its like when such-and-such" and, fuck, who hasn't done that? I've met Dane Cook. Not an asshole. At all. After hours of stand-up he stood in line for several more hours meeting fans and signing autographs. The guy running the event I guess (idk who he was, Dane's manager...someone idk) Anyway, he came out and said no more pictures and no more asking Dane to record the voicemail on ppls' cell phones. Ppl were bummed. And Dane kept doing it anyway. Hes not an asshole. Hes a cool dude. Maybe he has an ego, but if I were as successful as him, I would too.

there actually are a few similarities between dane cook and steve byrne, but its not like EVERYTHING steve does it copying dane, he just slightly tells jokes in the same way. and at least steve is actually a funny comedian, and its not like hes stealing anyones jokes. dane cook is a faggot that was funny way back when before he was big and now is just an unfunny asshole so he has to find 1 thing in a comedian that reminds him of himself to make people agree and get back on his side.

I used to listen to raw dog comedy channel on sirious radio , and i first found Dane cook there..and he seemed funny as hell to me at first....freakin hilarious, but then when i saw him on t.v. he ruined it for me..and this is what it is....,He TRIES TOO HARD at being funny.. Either way, Byrne is WAY funnier than Cook. If Cook didn't take so long to get to the damn punchline them maybe he would be funny, but most of the time he isn't. Byrne takes you on a journey, but it's funny the whole way through.

But that's just random chance, i.e. if he says enough shit then eventually it might be funny on accident.

But it's true that similar comedians are going to have similar styles and similar subject matter, just as long as you're not doing the same joke. As far as Steve Byrne goes, I can see the similarity to Dane Cook in terms of his rhythm and mannerisms. It takes a while for comedians to discover their own unique style.
