I just saw one exact like this at a junk yard near Anaheim ca today. It was all there except for the seats. Too bad the yard will not sell the whole thing, only in parts. Next to it was 77 corolla. I wanted to cry!!!!
I used to own one just like it, same color too. I bought it in 1986 and got rid of it in 2000. I had it for 14 yrs. I paid $1500 w/93000 miles. When I got rid of it, it had over 300,000 miles on it. At 305,000 miles I finally had to replace the head because the water jacket in the head finally broke thru. This was the only major work done to it when I owned it. I have to say that this was the best car I ever owned. I sure wish now that I had it back. Not great on gas but very reliable.
@dragonsrage86 Thanks! I actually had to move, and my brother came down hoping to help me complete the swap. We ended up not having enough time, he threw both engines in the back of his pickup and towed the Celica back to Washington state. Next time I go up there, we're hoping to finish the swap and drive it back down.
people think I'm strange, but I want so bad. I used to have a 92 celica GT, and no, it wasn't the fastest car ever, but it FELT GOOD to drive, and to me, thats all that matters. I will have one of these some day!

Look at the body lines....this is what the Mustang should've been in 1977!
I had a 72 Mach I. A 73 Grande' and after owning the '77 Celica, I knew then, Japan was far ahead of us.
