  • God, this is one of the VERY FEW songs that actually moves me deeply & emotionally...

  • @ParasiticCyst1988 you should try listening to be safe by the cribs ft. lee ronaldo

  • Your dreams can't last forever.

This is such a powerful song. <3

  • this was my favorite song to play bass on :( poor mic

  • to bad mic todd got kicked out :<<< why mic why

  • no coheed album sounds the same...

  • @lagann24 Haha, that's my favorite part about them :D They keep it interesting by switching up sound/tone/mood and at the same time, it's not so drastic a change that it's a turn off. Coheed is balance, yes? UvU

  • @ViralJuggernaut i know right and its that diversity of sound that makes it hard for people to label them. Its just really great music nuff said .

  • @lagann24 Finally, someone that understands ;w;

  • love this fukn song

  • the world wasn't big enough for 2 persons

  • Mic Todd FTW.

  • @ThatFrigginHacker I feel the same way. I just want to scream "We'll lie here alonnnne!!!" in public places.

  • The ending of this song, as well as the crowing, get me EVERY.FUCKING.TIME.

  • if you dislike this song............ur an ass

  • "When I meets I"

  • Big Hair = Awesome Band.

  • That piano at 5:38 is epic O_o

  • His name is Robert Paulson.

  • @hanstuffet I dont get it, I get the fight cluib reference but how does it relate to coheed?

  • The worlds not big enough for the both of us

  • Mic destroys on this song.

  • Hahha, I've realized this since then. Just confusing since it comes as one on the album.

  • Todd had was out of the band for about a year or so for a heroin addiction, but that was way after this album 2006-07ish. Seen them a few weeks ago, was the greatest band I have ever seen live.

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP claudio sounds so young and just.. AMAZING in this!

  • 2 morons dont know want music is..

  • i love this song and album.wise ass comments will cheer you up

  • i love this song and album.

  • "When eye, meets eye, be calm..."

Claudio Sanchez - Coheed and Cambria..

    \m/

  • God I love that detuned piano at the very ending..

  • Coheed and Cambria kicked ass in pittsburg, the croud could have been better though.

  • What happened to the second half?? Its my favorite paaart...

  • @BexRaye thats called IRO-bot

  • I'll Burn My Hands Til I've Got Nothing Left

  • I love what this song is about. Mayo Deftinwolf sees to it Mariah's head is cut off, and presents it to Ryan. And Ryan holds her severed head up and says: "Dear, dear Mariah. The world's not big enough for the both of us."

  • Love the song.

  • WHOO!

  • coheed would get boring if all there albums sounded the same its a good thing that there sound is changing

  • Coheed and Cambria really is an amazing band. Although not my favorite, they have songs with great meaning. :)

  • Mic Todd is amazing lol rock on from a fellow bassist

  • i love this song it has my name in it bt i wish there was a screamo verison.....i love metal music!!

  • @roxylovestaylor Please, never say that again. Ever.

  • Michael Todd ..play the bass

  • Best Coheed Song Ever.

It breaks my heart that they sold out like little bitches.

  • @Hoole100 I wouldn't say they sold out. But they have changed, I wouldn't say entirely for the better, but they haven't sold out. I'd say if you saw their music in a Coke ad, that's selling out. What C&C are doing isnt selling out, being on a major label like Sony BMG, that tends to be a creative prison. Take the band Cradle of Filth for example, their sound changed into near pop metal when they signed on a major label. But they're dropping off the label because it's damaging their creativity.

  • @Hoole100

    Care to explain yourself?

  • @IAmTheWar I dont really have to.

    Listen to second stage.

    Listen to their latest cd.

    It speaks for itself.

  • @Hoole100 Lolwut? that logics ridiculous considering The year of the black rainbow was written in order to go back and explain what happened before the amory wars took place...how in the HELL is that selling out dude? if youre speaking in terms of music, the sound has changed, yes(for better or for worse is another debate, personally i like it,but i love thier older sound)but thats not selling out lol.

  • @IAmTheWar people think they sold out because they started playing music that is more mainstream-sounding instead of their original style like they had on SSTB. not because they made an album for the sake of making money

  • @MrEpicPants Isnt that what selling out is though? lol..I love heed, theyve been my favorite band for lord knows how long, and for a damn good reason, the music they make is amazing :D the new albums great imo, people just cant seem to get over claudios voice not being the same as it was before, but tbh,i kinda like the direction theyve headed now(not more than theyre old sound of course, but when youve heard heed as much as i have, anything new by them is just pure gold xD)

  • @MrEpicPants It's mainstream because of their being on a major mainstream label. I'll bet if they dropped off to a different label we'd see the old Coheed back again.

  • @Apocol0id I don't think that's the case. Claudio said he did a lot of experimenting with the new album, taking some roots from PFI. Besides that, Atticus Ross, whom produced a few Tool albums, produced YOTBR, and he left a lot up to the band. I think it's just more a natural direction they've taken over the years. I just don't see them as being Mainstream.

  • @Apocol0id

LOL you're a fucking joke mate. Musicians don't make music according to what label they're on, look at Epitaph Records, Pierce The Veil and The Fall Of Troy and Coheed & Cambria, completely different bands.

Get the fuck out of my youtubes

  • @FeldbergThePlayer I didn't mean that the label only deals with one kind of music. But when a band signs on a major label, they get the pushy douchebag producers that come along with it, and their ideas for the band. Year of the Black rainbow was overproduced and effects laden. Major labels limit creativity. Thats why bands like protest the hero stay on indie labels. Less 'do what we say because we own you' mentality.

  • @FeldbergThePlayer Are you kidding me. Coheed has been able to stay away from to much influence but many labels force bands to write songs that they dont really wanna do just to sell to the tone def public.

  • 1 of my fav coheed and cambria songs. Love the beginning.

  • I love this song, and coheed and cambria. Besides Coheed and cambria obviously being the best, and most lyrically talented band of all time, whats your favorite song off the first album? Personally, mine is Junesong provision. Sorry if i sounds like an anal deuce.

  • @Arthurandhisdrgonfly Gotta love Evrything Evil. and Hearshot kid disaster..

  • @Arthurandhisdrgonfly Everything Evil, that outro is epic

  • This song, and Neverender Are some of the BEST lyrics I've ever heard.

  • i love this song

  • fcuking epic. jeeez love this song

  • this song sends goosebumps all over me. fucking amazing

  • IRO-BOT will never die!

  • canteloupe

  • after the release of there second album? lol you mean fifth?

  • I going to see them at the Tabernacle. Right after the release of their second album XD

  • I'd say this is one of their best songs.

  • hey, wheres the other 6 minutes? u know... the part with the little guitar melody that also appears at the end of 21:13

  • @flogyourlog that 'melody' is a song called iro-bot... which rules.

  • lol i love that song.

  • IRO-bot, The person that did this split the tracks up, its on the side though. However he being a Coheed fan knows this was on this track!

  • I really like the litle piano solo at the end of the song.. 5:37 to the end. AMAZING! i might cut tht part and put it in the beginning of one of my songs. cuz it just JIZZED my PANTS

  • Nigga, do you know how to spell or at least make a sentence that makes sense.

  • i was in a rush nigga xD

  • Shoo, nigga lol

  • Who plays bass for this band? He rocks.

  • The name's Michael Todd

  • @PyrHead The bass wasn't even his first choice of instrument. But he kicks it's ass.

  • @PyrHead Lol I love how you said that.

    Todd... Michael Todd.

  • @PyrHead he is a beast.

  • @PyrHead Good ol' Mic.

  • @2hard21

Yup,Mic Todd ^^ fuckin beast...this songs got insanely great bass...my personal favorite to play and listen to is probably hearshot kid disaster's bassline...its AMAZING

  • I dunno, man, I would'a thought the bassline to Fuel For The Feeding End would be more fun to play than this. Either that or The End Complete. Overall though, this one is definately more smooth though.

  • Fuels basslines sweet,i havent finished learning it though :P tec's is alright...i dont know all of it either, but i dont "hold a special place in my heart for it" xDDDD

The song's with bass that stand out for me....Pretty much EVERY single song on sstb lmao, not a one has disappointing,or even slightly less than amazing basslines xDDDD

  • @2hard21 and yes he is SICK

  • @2hard21 Mic Todd, he is a SUPER good bassist, he used to play guitar but picked up bass when he joined the band.

  • @2hard21 yeah he does dude

  • @2hard21 The name is Todd.... Michael Todd.

  • @2hard21 Easily one of the most underrated bassists around.

  • album is the best one they ever did. But this album is timeless, and a true showcase of their song writing ability...the other ablums attempt to sound more epic than they really are and pale in comparison to this work of art

  • After hearing this song, I sucked my own dick then ejaculated dragon fly blood instead of semen.

    True story.

  • you to? i did the same, but first i started the song, then casually walked into my room sat down in my computer chair and then ejaculated dragon fly blood

  • Well I put a baby in a grinder then ejaculated into the remains then fed it to an African child.

  • @YouKilledAlan Thank you.

  • At least you spelled African with capitol letter two points for proper grammar .

  • Aw. There was a space between the last word and the period.

    Imperfection.

  • And yet you spelled capital wrong, for this instance. Minus three points.

  • You got me

  • Touche

  • @ND7652 :

    ... Capital letter.

  • perfect song

  • This is my favorite song by them right now.... It's like "Woah, dude... life just... makes sense." you know? I wanna see them live but I they aren't gonna be by me for a while. =[.

  • "When Eye! Meets Eye! Be Calm...

    We'll Lie,Here Alone!"

that line has so much emotion....it truly is beautiful

  • in the comic it says " When eye meets eye become what you were created to be. "

  • @xxDISCRETExHUNTERxx

yeah, when mayo was turning co and ca into beast and knowledge right? i JUST finished both volumes like 3 days ago xD

  • Man this song just reminds me of a time when I'm a kid and everything is so free and fresh back then, and you don't even understand what anyone else says, and don't even care what they say, you're just happy, now I can't say that, back then I could.

  • EPIC!!!

  • CLAUDIO!!!! :D <333

  • *jizzes*

    wait can girls jizz?

    well...i guess....yeah i jizzed

  • Anyone can have a metaphoric jizz.

  • Comment removed

  • *raises eyebrow* Da Fuck??????

  • Nothing

    Lmao

  • odd ball

  • i love how theres not a song on SSTB where the bass is inaudible :O

its very refreshing, and it makes for good learning for us bassists :D

  • @IAmTheWar all bands need to record like this

  • @codaygman completely agreed lmao

  • @IAmTheWar I don't think I've ever heard a song by Coheed in which the bass didn't stick out and add depth to the sound. Mike Todd is teh shit!

  • Burn my fingers so i have nothing left to count my numbers on... love Claudios lyrics. Holy FACK!

  • "burn my hands til I've got nothing left to count my numbers on" stop failing please

  • @NewoIkkin93 lol ya... ur right. my bad.

  • its all good =]

  • I love then ending piano riff.. so eerie and mysterious.. I love it.

  • ahhh i went wee in me britches.

  • Favorite COCA song ever <333

  • This is definitely my favorite song of this album!

  • LOLLAPALOOZA AUGUST 8TH

  • I'll be there!

  • ME TOO!!!

  • can i score a ride with you!?

  • im going with tyler and idk whos driving us but yah sure

  • My dad won't let me buy tickets until I secure a ride so.......

  • did u ask tyler

  • what's that tune at 5:50?

  • Its a piano piece which Josh Eppard played at the beginning of the first 3 albums, i dont know what the name of it is, i'd love to know as well.

  • It's called "The Ring in Return" I believe.

  • That's the intro song to In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, the album after this, i don't think it's a time paradox lol and the real piano piece is about 5 minutes long, not like the 3 intros which are pretty short. I wish i could hear it again.

  • No, ' The Ring In Return' is IKSSE3. What is played is actually called ' Second Stage Turbine Blade. ' This is the first song of the album played again. The beginning of the albums always have a different intro. SSTB-second stage turbine blade. IKSSE3-the ring in return.

    FTEM-keeping the blade.

    NWFT-the reaping.

all written by Josh except NWFT. that was the only acoustic piece and that was made by claudio.

  • all thats true, but, the VERY ending sequence, the last phrase you hear,is the ring in return, see, what im ASSUMING,is this

the last song on sstb is Godsend Conspirator, the ending of which is instrumental piano, and the last "riff" is identical to the first song on the next album...im guessing its like,to connect the two together? idk xD

but the end of this is all original, except at 6:14,thats when it becomes the ring in return

  • I love the guitar in this song. It's beatiful and kick asss. This is definatly my fav from the Second Stage Turbine Blade.

  • goin to see these guys in August in Seattle with Sabbath!!!

  • heaven and hell

  • my fucking brother had tickets to that but I wasn't home so he couldn't take me =[

  • GO COHEED!!

  • Even after all these years, his voice STILL amazes me EVERY time I listen to it!!

  • same here. i love coheed just as much now as i ever did

  • WOOO going to see these guys at Redrocks in August!

  • Can't wait to see them at bonaroo!!

  • I love Elf Tower New Mexico, great song.

  • This song is so badass....

I saw them at "All Hope Is Gone".....they were awesome....didn't get to hear their softer more intricate songs, but they rules ass none-the-less. I am seeing them with Heaven and Hell at Red Rocks,CO, and again at Bonaroo in Manchester,TN. can't friggin wait.

P.S. Why does everyone not like "Elf Tower New Mexico"????? That song fuckin rocks. Coheed has never made a bad song.

  • i agree!!! i love all their songs and i love elf tower new mexico so awesome

  • Claudio himself has called it something similar to bad and uninspired.

  • As bad as that sounds, it is true.

But none the less i love me some 'heed.

  • i got lucky and got to see cohhed with glassjax and others such as blood brothers, american nightmare back in early 2000's in oakland, pittsburgh baby, was a great show

  • omg, this is one of my favorite songs, and i have seen coheed before and they did'nt play it, because they were playing with slip-knot! AHH i was so mad, they didnt play alot of my favorite songs, but i have seen them twice and the other time they did :]. I also missed the comic book signing, before the concert -_-

  • CameraKill44 is lucky -.- i seen Coheed and Cambria at a concert in atlanta georgia a few years back along with Avenged Sevenfold was a good concert to bad coheed opened it so they didnt get to play as many songs as i woulda liked =(

  • What is this song about (I know it is in the Amory wars, not sure what is happening in the context..)

  • Mariah is posing a threat to Wilhem Ryan and he sends mayo to go and take her out. Her army isnt a match for his and they are soon outnumbered. in the lyrics it says, "Dear Mariah

The world's not big enough for the both of us when we live in the same town" and then it says, "Don't let them fall If your grip's not strong"

  • but isnt this song like 13 minutes long?

  • On the normal Album version yes, I think. But that would be including the IRO-Bot hidden track I posted seperately (or am I wrong? Fuck, I have no clue...)

  • naw thats the album version of junesong provision *i think*. "This is my boomstick!"

has the slower IRO-bot at the end, which is heard again in earth: 3 but faster

  • Duh, of course......stupid me

  • No your right man on SSTB its 13 mins (and 45 secs.) long. After this song the piano interlude plays, then about 3 4 minutes of silence, the IRO-bot kicks in.

This is my favorite coheed song, and favorite song period

  • i love the beat =D

  • i should be buying there tickets right now but the music is too distracting. FUCK
