There are two very important new bands which you are missing from the C section!

Two of my favourite artists; Cage The Elephant (great 90s/grunge inspired alternative rock band from Kentucky, whose 2nd album was just incredible in my opinion).

And secondly, The Civil Wars (duo from Tennessee whose debut album just came out in November I think. Proper southern country/folk style and just amazing. I'd recommend watching their appearance on Jools Holland show (Listen to Barton Hollow!) Enjoy!

You have a very interesting and varied CD collection. I have a lot of music (probably around 2000 when I count them all including itunes), but i'm sure you beat me and then some. I went through a metal phase myself (although no country). Do you have Bright Eyes, Cursive, The Decemberists, Clutch, Nick Drake, The Flaming Lips, or The Easy Star All Stars (they do reggae covers of Pink FLoyd, Radiohead, and the Beatles) ? Are u from DFW, I live in Denton and know some of the local bands u mention?

very nice collection, i'm in either but i have a problem believing what you r saying at the beginning, 4 and a half million of wath, minutes of listening..........1 have over 3500 cd's and my rack is between 3 and 4 time the size of yours, you have 9 row of 150 to 200 cds so that's between 2000 and 3000 not more than that.

I don't have enough favorite CD's to even get near what this guy has. Unless he just buys whatever is in the genres he likes which is most likely correct because who seriously has that many favorites? My collection is currently 51 CD's and 6 vinyls with 68 CD's and 17 vinyls that I want at most plus the rest vinyls of all my favorites that I can find. I don't even think I can count how many CD's this guy has.

Speaking of transferring from vinyl: The CD I'd most want would be Adventures of Secret Man (Shhh!) ... I now have the equipment to do it myself, but unfortunately, I discovered my Secret-Man album wasn't in its sleeve. If you ever get a chance to convert that yourself, it would be fabulous to have - almost as good as the Mediocre Films DVD.

(For the unlucky souls now muttering, "WTF?!" Greg's brother Doug, now w/Adobe, did a VERY funny college project I was lucky enough to pick up on LP. :)

I have that exact same CCR cd. Plus I got the Volume 2 to that cd. Great music. I too have some Phil Collins. I have "No Jacket Required". I actually like Phil Collins before he sold out to Disney.
