There are two very important new bands which you are missing from the C section!
Two of my favourite artists; Cage The Elephant (great 90s/grunge inspired alternative rock band from Kentucky, whose 2nd album was just incredible in my opinion).
And secondly, The Civil Wars (duo from Tennessee whose debut album just came out in November I think. Proper southern country/folk style and just amazing. I'd recommend watching their appearance on Jools Holland show (Listen to Barton Hollow!) Enjoy!
All of your videos were awesome. I really respect your taste in music. I do have a large CD collection. I would like to make you some mix CDs from my collection. Is your PO box still the same? Please let me know. I promise no Rap. :)
it seems that guys are more passionate about music than women overall. they do say that scientifically, guys tend to stay loyal to bands they liked when they were young, whereas females dont really
You have a very interesting and varied CD collection. I have a lot of music (probably around 2000 when I count them all including itunes), but i'm sure you beat me and then some. I went through a metal phase myself (although no country). Do you have Bright Eyes, Cursive, The Decemberists, Clutch, Nick Drake, The Flaming Lips, or The Easy Star All Stars (they do reggae covers of Pink FLoyd, Radiohead, and the Beatles) ? Are u from DFW, I live in Denton and know some of the local bands u mention?
HAHA I'M GONNA MAKE FUN OF YOU FOR THAT! Oh wait... I only know probably 5 musicians that you have named throughout this collection x.x Killer collection though!
hi. i noticed a turntable behind you. do you also collect vinyls? what kind of turntable do you have (and its set-up)? great collection you have there, priceless im sure.
I would give you the "but Mp3s have only a small fraction of quality" but CDs take up a lot of room, haha. Do you use any loss-less formats like Apple Loss-less or FLAC? Amazing CD collection.. Mine is much smaller but I have a lot of imported music
According to Lindsay Buckingham in a recent interview, the Buckingham/Nicks albums are being re-released on CD soon but no release date has been set yet.
very nice collection, i'm in either but i have a problem believing what you r saying at the beginning, 4 and a half million of wath, minutes of listening..........1 have over 3500 cd's and my rack is between 3 and 4 time the size of yours, you have 9 row of 150 to 200 cds so that's between 2000 and 3000 not more than that.
I don't have enough favorite CD's to even get near what this guy has. Unless he just buys whatever is in the genres he likes which is most likely correct because who seriously has that many favorites? My collection is currently 51 CD's and 6 vinyls with 68 CD's and 17 vinyls that I want at most plus the rest vinyls of all my favorites that I can find. I don't even think I can count how many CD's this guy has.
I think I have a very big cd collection (pop, rock, blues, jazz, 60's 70's, classic, all kinds of stuff). I still buy cd's, because I have to feel some stuff in my hands when I listen. You've told in your video that you are a big Sam Cooke fan. Let's shake hands. Sam Cooke is great. I love soul music (Eddie Floyd is good as well). Your collection is so nice! Wow! I have some inspiration right now! I'm from Holland btw! So much good music to buy! Greatings!

Hey! You shouldn't be embarrassed 'cause you have one Phil Collins album. Phil Collins kicks ass! Even his not-so-good albums, like "Dance Into The Light" have a few good tracks. So screw everyone who doesn't approve of Collins.
@mediocrefilms2 They are a gypsy/Punk/Folk/World sounding band, their front man is Alex from Everything is illuminated, the new album Trans-Continental Hustle is AMAZING
I had to check out sam Cooke and boy im into HipHop and that sort of music but gotta say Sam Cooke has one of the greatest voices of all time indeed! This is the sort of music I really enjoy listening to when you just wanna chill! :D Sam Cooke - Wonderful World !

Speaking of transferring from vinyl: The CD I'd most want would be Adventures of Secret Man (Shhh!) ... I now have the equipment to do it myself, but unfortunately, I discovered my Secret-Man album wasn't in its sleeve. If you ever get a chance to convert that yourself, it would be fabulous to have - almost as good as the Mediocre Films DVD.
(For the unlucky souls now muttering, "WTF?!" Greg's brother Doug, now w/Adobe, did a VERY funny college project I was lucky enough to pick up on LP. :)
All I can say is its about time! I always wanted to know what was in that wall of sound of yours. Hey, no reason to be ashamed of owning some Phil Collins CDs ^^ Phil was actually my first real "idol" as a drummer and I own pretty much all of his records. That also got me into Genesis, although nowadays I like the old Peter Gabriel stuff much more ;)
I like all kinds of music, too. I didn't recognize any of the titles until Barenaked Ladies & BECK, Buckwheat Z., and Cash, Clapton! I'm 33. This was a fascinating video. IF you had to pick 1 band to represent the BEST music you *ever* heard, which one?
What!? Make fun of you for liking Phil Collins? NEVER. Why be embarassed about it? The man is an excellent singer and drummer, to hell with anyone who wants to make fun of him. Next to Genesis (My favourite band of all time), Phil Collins is among the best (And he's a lot of the reason I like Genesis). I wasn't aware being a talented singer and drummer was anything to be ashamed of or made fun of. I'm 20 so it's not like I lived through the 80's either...
I have that exact same CCR cd. Plus I got the Volume 2 to that cd. Great music. I too have some Phil Collins. I have "No Jacket Required". I actually like Phil Collins before he sold out to Disney. I feel the same way about Elton John. I like Elton Johns music before he sold out to Disney. Its like Disney strips away these artists souls or something...lol.

Music flows from Greg's mouth.
