  • That's amazing. It looks like it's flying.

  • A master ball will work on this legendary pokemon... right?

  • Magnapinna squid, one of my favorite animals

  • It's beautiful..

  • Oahu? Good god that's where I live!

  • cute

  • who's that pokemon?

  • Makes me feel sick when it comes near the screen. Im sorry mr Bigfin, but you scare the hell out of me.

  • Beautiful animal...

  • Ive heard my unclce say "Squids migt evolve into intellegent beings that are one day capabile of making a civalazation such as ours " but I now belive this they mihgt evolve into higher life biengs .and diffrent species of squid might evolve into diffrent races such as asian or eourpeon .But they are actually one bieng Squid LIKE WE ARE ALL HUMAN

  • it's very graceful

  • the first elbowed squid was discovered at a oil rig 200miles off mexico in the gulf 1 and a half miles under water

  • JELLYSQUID!

  • Anything you find in the mid-ocean ridges is equally amazing.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kind of like a jellyfish. But a squid

  • oo pretty

  • 80% of the ocean is unexplored. we've got maps of Mars and Jupiter, but not of our own ocean? strange....

  • Angel of the sea!

  • whats the name of the creepy animal??

  • It's in the title video, it's a bigfin squid...

  • @AngaloPapeteri It's unidentified

  • @AngaloPapeteri Oh, wait. My mistake.

  • miercoles

  • ...i want to bite the fins

  • The ocean is one of the weirdest places on Earth. There are so many species under the ocean we have never met, and will likely never meet, that will only be known through legend and superstition.

  • Or we can build a submarine that can go to those depths and meet them!

  • @Nintendostar123 shhhhh

  • Woarg! Creepy! and noone knows what his long arms are for.

  • Giant squid and octopi are still some of the most rare creatures on this planet.... Up until recently, noone had ever even seen one alive. Only dead species that washed up on shore or so.

  • I wouldn't say "rare" because we have no idea what their numbers are. They are very elusive, or at least, living in a very innaccessible place for humans to properly observe them.

  • @LaRoza77 We don't know their numbers because they are RARELY SEEN.

  • @LaRoza77 they are rare to us because they are never seen before. thats what rare is =P

  • Actually we have seen them alive. Captured them alive, etc. It's not the 19th century anymore...

  • all that have been caught so far died soon after capture. i want to see them in an aquarium.

  • I thought it was a mutant jellyfish but it looks interesting

  • I think that this would be pretty freaking scary to see coming at you in the water, but it is very beautiful.

  • My gosh, how beautiful

  • Hahaha someone in my Bio class showed us this creature in the video taken near the Shell drilling. Said it was the most TERRIFYING thing she had EVER seen. It weirded me out a little, but I think it's fascinating. lol This video is MUCH less creepy, let me tell you. It also makes me wonder if some variety of squid will develop a cartilaginous skeleton, even if only partial.

  • I'm wondering the same thing. It's fascinating!

  • Some do have this wierd thin cartilage that is inside their body which I have to take out before I eat it.

  • This is such an amazing creature.

  • amazing

  • what IS that?! omg!

  • Written in the description, with a link to the wikipedia article on the squid genus.

  • Its a pretty sight. Need this for a screen-saver
