If it weren't for her, Rainbow Land would be a crater. On Murky's Comet, she spotted the comet coming thru the telescope and mewed to let the doggie know, who warned the others. You can't up and forget the kitty!

The theme of many '80s cartoon shows was having a greater sense of humanity, but of course, gussied up with delightful, happy animated characters. Herself the Elf worked to protect nature, the Care Bears were responsible for the emotional well-being of everyone on Earth, and Rainbow Brite kept color alive in life.
It may seem corny, but there's a lot of promise beyond these one-dimensional graphics and one-dimensional storylines for this beloved and wonderful character.
The sad truth of the matter is, they're not remaking the cartoons for us, the old fans. They're remaking it for our CHILDREN. When you look what's being broadcast on TV nowadays for THEM, it's... well, it's kinda shitty actually. But they remade the older cartoons to look more *like* those shitty cartoons for the sole purpose of marketability. It sucks, yes, but there is some reasoning behind it.
