  • Outstanding - just practicing and your video is big big support. Hope I'll ever get there. Thanks!

  • It is a great version, congratulations, I share your passion for guitars ;)

  • @medievalguitar Thanks.

  • I'm learning this song right now but I'm having trouble with measure 28-29, could you tell me what fingerings you're using? thanks

  • @1990xyphos Left hand fingering is straight forward.

    Measure 28, a full bar at 7th fret, finger 4 on high E, finger 3 on A.

    Measure 29, finger 1 bar 1st to 5th strings, finger 4 on D, finger 3 on G sharp.

    Measure 30, 4, 3, 1, 3, 4, 3.

    Joe

  • @becjker This video is done without any audio editing.

It's better searching for a decent digital recorder than looking for a audio editing software.

  • @ClassicalJoeNo1

  • @PESQUIM Nowadays, it's much easier to find a HD camcorder with external microphone input to record guitar performance.

Panasonic HDC-SD90 + RODE NT4 is not bad.

    by translate.Google :p

  • i wanna see 9 ppl singing this song better than him...!

  • the worst version, I've ever heard

  • @Paveldagongod

    let's see yours (:

  • Yes, this is a very proper and beautiful tempo. Second half is to be played Piu Mosso and "waltz" like. Ending of second half Meno Mosso e Liberamente........

I have heard it played much slower and much faster---but this is the best. Good Job-played very clean!

  • It was amazing.... but i have a quistion. Is that the real tempo? I´m working on this piece and i wonder about the tempo. Thanks :)

  • are you using a footstool? and if so doens't it hurt your back?

  • I could hear your great tone through that mic. now that IS good tone. What kind of guitar is it?

  • Seriously, this one is killing me :-D

    Sweetness overload!

  • Beautiful!! *****

I get the feeling I've listened to this one before, Does Leo Brouwer always sound this sweet? Do you have more works by him?

  • schönes sakko.. und ne kinderstimmte^^

  • Nicely done, my friend.

  • One of my favorite songs for classic guitar in the world. It´s simply beautifull. And you played it really well.

  • a favorite !

  • awesome!

I really enjoy leo brouwer, he has some really nice stuff :D

  • good player and good music!

  • Very nice playing. It's too bad about the sound quality. Even with the crappy video camera mic you can hear that the guitar has very nice projection and is loud. The video camera mic is clipping. That's one loud guitar. Great tone.

  • Thanks.

Yes, this is a pretty good guitar, sweet, sensitive and powerful.

The sound quality is downgraded a lot during video compression. MS Movie Maker sucks at this point.

I'm using other software for recording recently. The sound quality is improved out of the same hardware. Check out my new video "Schindler's List".

  • This is so beautiful, I am learning this and schindlers list from your site and sheet music, can you recommend another of the best.

    Again simply beautiful...

  • Thanks. I only like to play beautiful ones. I crack some nutshell pieces to find some improvement once for a while. You can check out my blog to see what I have done. I'm sure you can find something interesting. Good luck!

  • This piece is poetic and you sound divinely ... Really good! See you soon!

  • It is fascinating how efficient a guitarist you are and how generous you are in posting these videos.

How old are you? Have you entered any competitions? When did you begin training?

  • Thanks.

I'm in my mid 30s. Nowadays, there are so many great guitarists. I don't even have chance to get close:)

  • I began taking lessons on classical about a year ago, and while it's certainly overwhelming the amount of talent out there - there are kids 1/3 our age that could blow us away!!! - I tend to find that more encouraging than discouraging. I don't need to tell you any of this, but hopefully you can make some time up upkeep on your chops because you are one talented dude.

  • Yes. I always see that in a positive way. I'll keep up as long as breathing:)

    Thanks again for your comment!

  • Nice interpretation. I like your playing dood

  • Thanks, dude:)

  • Great playing, Joe. I am studying it myself. Wonderful piece of music. Thanks for sharing!

  • Yes, it's a great piece of music and not too hard to play.

  • Bravo!

  • Thanks!

  • Briliant again!

  • THanks.

  • Lovely brushes, time to resolve scissors.

  • Thanks, but what does the scissors thing mean?

  • nice and pleasant

  • Lovely stuff and you played it well as usual, cheers Joe.

  • Joe thank you for such a beutiful performance... =]

    Cheers

    Diego

  • Thanks Diego!

  • Hey Joe. Beautiful! Really nice!! And wow! I would not handle that interruption like you did! One x'tra star for that so I give you 6 this time!.

    Thank you for sharing,

    Per

  • There is nothing you can't do Peo.

Thank you so much for the extra one.

  • That's really nice, Joe! Thanks!

  • Thanks for watching, Julie.

  • Hello Joe,

Very well played indeed, you did really well to continue playing during that distraction, when that happens to me I usually go wrong!

Anyway, lovely piece, and your playing certainly did it justice.

    Best wishes.

    Paul

  • I get used to distractions:)

    Thanks Paul.

  • Thanks Bruno!

You are right. I don't know much Spanish and I can't type it at all.

Yes, Stephan Schlemper is a pretty good Germany guitar. It sounds sweet & balance well.

  • Good work.Bravo.

  • Thanks.

  • This is really a very beautiful way to play this piece... and the sound is great ! five stars :)

    Thomas

  • Thanks for comment & voting, Thomas.

  • Yes, this is the way to play this piece !

    So beautiful ! 5*s !

    cheers,

    wolfgang

  • Thanks Wolfgang.

I rush it out a little bit, but it feels good when I free myself.

  • Your technique is close to perfection! Nice music making, the tempo is just right!

Your video's really set a good reference for learning these kind of pieces.

    Thanks Joe!

    Vabejas

  • Thanks for your compliment.

Actually, there are some problems with my right hand technique. I have some unnecessary finger movement lot of times. It shows on very video I've recorded. I'm trying to fix it.

  • Very nice indeed. You must be working hard. Your tone and timing has improved noticably. Some parts are a bit hesitant, but maybe you were reading. It should evolve into an excellent piece if you stick to it.

  • Thanks. I do try to improve myself on very piece I try, especially my right hand technique.

You are right. I was reading and made quite a lot mistakes at the 3rd part.

Technically, this is a relative easy piece, but it sounds great. I'll try to improve it and replay it on some day in November:)

  • nice ~~

although i personal perfer a relatively conservative tempo

  • Thanks.

I just got a February mood, finish it and rush to bed, it was too cold to slow down:)

I might be conservative too if I retry it in November:)

  • ROFL, u have got such cool sense of humour XD
