  • Thanks for the upload, this is excellent!!!

  • I TAPED THIS OFF THEE RADIO IN THE OLD DAZE...THANX 4 POSTING THIS 1

  • incredible merge

  • The vocal used on the track that was eventually released is much more effective than Kuhlman as used here. Interesting to hear this, though!

  • how freaky is that?

  • this isn,t a bootleg, it's the unfinished album version, with a different vocal track. the released version is much better

  • brian eno is famous for a lot of things and most of it is his tremendous EGO. If there is evil in the world look to ENO - he's not all that and neither is David Byrne. This song sucks and when people hear voices they are not ill - they are mediums.

  • @bonjubs57

You're obviously an untalented nit wit. Ego or no ego, they're both incredibly talented. Let me guess, you're a bongo player?

  • @MsKillah13 I have worked with both men in the recording sessions and that's my opinion. I"m very talented and obviously more than you because I work with musicians.

  • @MsKillah13 You must be deaf. So with respect to that. I will no longer comment because you are a disabled

    person..

  • @bonjubs57 I am a recording engineer and have worked with both men. Hacks.

  • @bonjubs57

haha your comment is hilarious "I"m very talented and obviously more than you because I work with musicians".....what the hell?. how does that justify who you are. Clearly, I was right the first time.

  • superior version

  • Is that Jon Hassell on trumpet?

  • the other version of this isnt on here anywhere surprisingly, i must say i like it better, but this is good too

  • 'My life in the bush of ghosts' is one of the greatest albums of the last century - truly innovative, utterly funky, totally original (I think!) notwithstanding the reference to Kathryn Kuhlman - and this track, The Jezebel Spirit, featuring mind blowing recordings from an exorcism (!!) is one of the best. Terrifying, compelling and wonderful at the same time. Listen to the album version to hear the Deep South type exorcist build up the tension!!!!

  • @rexthesaurus "Terrifying, compelling and wonderful at the same time." So well put. There is a certain eerie, haunting, earthly yet not quality to this album that has caused it to stick in my head for all these years.

  • by far the best song from the Bush album, although i never heard this version. I remember the Jezebels are lurking like the far forming touch-less times of the symbiont toxicity of spirits shimmering about the dead/living structured textures of being in the fabrics of reality.

  • @h92o << Haha! Excellent!

  • Smsicroxe? backwards?

  • if you feel ´scary´ , is because this is not music for you ; )

maybe your style of life .. keep going on -

    Saludos desde Chile ----

  • Dosnt sound like what ieve heard on "my life in the bush of ghosts"........ but scary, very scary

  • I never knew that this version existed.

I have to say that I prefer the version I'm familiar with.

  • Sounds like an entirely different performance? A different session, even?

  • some one stole my cd i hate who ever did it

  • maybe a bush of ghosts took it?

  • @MrGoonerforlife I'll get the bastard for you!

  • @TheLittleMuc thank you , I first bought the LP in the 80's and bought the cd 5 years ago. Some bastard stole it at work

  • @MrGoonerforlife Well I have the LP AND the CD. The CD is as you are already aware, somewhat lacking.... better some bastard stole the cd as it is not complete. He probably did you a favour, as I SWEAR at my cd copy of this album. I'm glad I ripped a better, fuller copy of it from the LP.

  • give up mixing

  • Wish I could give this seven stars.

  • PS Ratboy222

I suspect if you took the paint brush out of your ass you wouldn't know were to start

  • reminds me of my radical youth, mmmmmmmmm.

  • it's very difficult to listen to this and not have the final version somehow lingering or to think that the final version is actually a lot better because it's much more tight..... it remains a classic though

  • Very difficult to hear without a paint brush in my hand

  • this track will never get old ..is a master piece

  • Kathryn Kuhlman in a total frenzy....

  • MrUnidyne....looking into it now. good call.

  • the best song of Eno and Byrne for sure.

So many layers and the the final end with this incredible busy sounding bells. My favourite song for sure

  • Is that Kathryn Kuhlman's voice?

  • Yes, in fact this track is original "Into the Spirit Womb" with Kathryn Kuhlman (which her estate refused to license).Check Wiki.

  • @pancniewatpliwie I think you mean "Into the Spirit World."

  • @tmgore64

No, he meant what he said. Check wikipedia.

  • a genious piece ov work

  • Excellent! Thank you.

  • Cool. This is the original version that was entitled "Into the Spirit World" but they couldn't get clearance on the vocal.

  • What's scary to me is backward people doing exorcisms on schizophrenics.

  • @riversidefox: what's worse is, schizophrenics doing exorcisms backwards!

  • @riversidefox Yeah I know, especially when they take place on a Carousel with the Knights of the Crusades galloping along.

  • @riversidefox I know....during an eclipse in the eye of a category 5 hurricane! I smell reality show!

  • I've always seen this as a 'scary' piece. That's why I believe my imaginary god's better than your imaginary god!

  • i love this fricking song

  • you can admire the genius of the final version even more after hearing the different particles. it is great for the morning:

    Jezebel,

    Spirit of destruction,

    Spirit of grief,

I bind you with chains of iron

I bind you out of that bounded heaven

  • A serious re-working that sometimes suggests the still more sinister underneath of what Davis did on On the Corner. Great, I think, for the morning commute.
