@rhykko77 it just means the guitar is more beat up that a regular relic'd guitar. i think anyways. maybe im wrong but im thinking it wouldnt effect the pickups at all.

@rhykko77 standard relic shows slight wear. a heavy relic generally looks more like its been to hell and back and enjoyed every second of the ride haha.

A new Mexican strat is around 400 to 550USD, and this is an American CS Ltd. 57 Heavy Relic Strat.. they are damn expensive and overpriced.

haha yep. i had a '64 heavy relic in the cream white color with a highly figured bird's eye neck that i got because i traded a '50s RI and a little 4 track plus 400 bucks. Was a sweet deal. She was beautiful and sounded like no other. Man i miss her!!

i wish fiesta red was a standard color they offered for the american standards. instead of bullshit metallic frost or sienna sun burst. sienna sun burst doesn't look like a fender color.... looks more like a gibson color. they need to back to the original Dupont auto colors.

I have tried a lot of CS strats over the last year and none of them were in any way great guitars but that one sounds exceptional. I have 2 original 1961 strats, 2 reissues from the 1980s and a 1972 and 1973 .. the 72 is the best of them all followed by the 73 ... just a matter of luck with the wood .. assuming you've tightened uop all the screws, nuts, bolts etc .. most people forget that !! They subtly come apart while you play !

This isnt an actual '57 strat. its a brand new guitar but its been built to the same standards as a 57 and has then been relic'd artificially to look like one. when you buy them, they come with the 3-way installed but they come with the 5-way switch incase you want to install it. I've got a 60's relic and have kept the 3-way in because it just sounds great on the neck pick up.
