The poor kids today have no idea what real talent combined with a SMOKIN' hot body really is!

We were truly blessed back in the day to witness this phenomenal band.

  • All my dreams back then were wettttt...... and about Debbie Harry! But I was only 11! :-P

  • @ClonerKing At 1979 Debbie was 34 .Hard to belive..hm..?She was daydream of every male dreamer.Just keep on dreaming...=)

  • Love Drum intros like in this, best blondie song as well

  • O_O 0:54

  • man, could you imagine what this chick could've attained if Heroin didn't ravage her??

  • @MrHabernack Debbie to date is still touring all over the world to sell out crowds with Blondie, Deb dabbled in Drugs in the late 70s early 80s like every single musician at that time but she was never ravaged. she is 66yrs old and still going strong. I think Deb achieved so much with Blondie. 6 UK No1s, 4 USA No1s, first rap song to hit No1, 50 million selling albums, entered into Rock n roll hall of fame, Biggest selling single of 1980, Marie reaching No1 in 14 countries + global stardom...

  • @MrLayford65

Dont forget that blondie has had a number one in three consecutive decades 70s 80s and 90s, saw her 5 years ago and she still looked great

  • @Jeggshound I couldn't fit anything more on the list, Debbie is the oldest woman in the UK to have a No1 single with Maria and has kept the title for 12 yrs now stated by Guiness World Records. Debbie has influenced countless women and men over the years. Lady Gaga stated that Debbie is the most important iconic woman in rock music. Madonna stated that she is the coolest woman in the Universe. Blondie also was honoured with a star and hand print of the band on the Hollywood rock n roll walk.

  • @Jeggshound "Saw her"?> Blondie is a group - so u saw THEM!!

  • @Jeggshound please remember that deborah Harry is ""her" so when u say"She looks great" obviously you don't mean Blondie the group!

  • @MrLayford65 Which single was biggest selling of 1980?

  • @selfelin Sorry about delay, The Tide Is High was the biggest selling single of 1980 in the USA.

Heart Of Glass was the second biggest single of 1979 in the UK selling 1million 300,000. The album Parallel Line was the biggest selling album of 1979 in the UK Which went on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide.

  • 57 "undreaming" people ...tooo bad

  • Clem going fuckin mental....and Debbie looking stunning.......in what looks like a ripped pillow case.......

  • the drummer is amazing

  • @TheTyaptyap

you should hear the drums in "Warchild" extended version (last track in the album "The Hunter").

There is a short part in which Burke goes wild...

My neurons are having a party every time I listen to that in the morning while I am driving to work...

It's an underrated album, but it's still so damn 80s,,, (just look at the cover....)

  • I love you Debbie!

  • Clem Burke the drummer is amazing on Dreaming

  • @DjWellDressedMan has to be his best

  • blondie best band at all time

  • BTW, major drummer awsomness!

  • Music not only worth while listening to, but a joy as well, I just love it!

  • god wish i was alive in the 80's

  • jesus where did that boner come from!

  • I just realized that the only posters in my room are of Jim Morrison and Debbie Harry on the door of my closet. I actually don't really like to have posters but I am so used to these two watching me while I change my clothes, or dance around naked to their music!

  • @ChrissieBana

I can see myself and my room when I was 15,16 (81,82...) Jim's poster on the wall and poster of Debbie on the door....and still love them

  • Yep...still love her!

  • THE PERFECT 3 MINUTE POP SONG

  • Ohh God I love her! i am just 24 y/old but i 'll marry her anytime. I fell in love with her

  • I wonder how many times I have pressed replay in a single sitting.

  • Lovely and timless music

  • 55 people have no dreams

  • O.K. I can post again, Yea!

  • Am I banned from making posts? If so, please let me know so I won't waste you're time. And mine!

  • Debbie Harry made my balls drop.

  • That drummers a legend!!

  • j'adope. trop bon.

  • There is no past, their is only now, I make my own world, I am dreaming, goodbye.

  • I have made several comments about Blondie, and if she reads my current comment, she will no doubt cringe, and perhaps grind her teeth and sneer in contempt. I once drowned and had an odd experience: Unbelievable beautiful music! Blondie doesn’t come close, but she touches on the edges if it. Thanks for a slice of heaven babe! These terse comment spaces do not do justice do ones expression!

  • dig the drummer on this track, very hard to play properly, and clem does it justice, makes me think of animal out of the muppets for some reason, some playing this is

  • 55 people have shit for brains!!

  • T in the Park!

  • *dreamy eyes swimming in my head* I feel like I am in love for the first time again!

  • smashing pumpkins brought me here

  • Go-go-go Clem....non-stop 100 mile an hour !!!

  • ..Your'e right -kbrod90210- we were very lucky..i don't think we realized just how lucky we were back then..

  • i think that 79 is their best year... it's just a mix of pop disco & garage rock music album ...

  • she was smoken hot, she had class unlike the girls of today who feel they have to dress and look like two bit hookers and act class less to be sexy

  • amazing i love blondie

  • wicked wicked wicked !!!!!!! sends shivers down my spine every time i watch this video......

  • She woz sex on legs, dont make em like this no more,so much shite now!

  • Comment removed

  • @finkelstin if you have dreams, you are not too old to act.. but you have to go out and get it, it wont come to you. and love, well, love isnt the end of the world.. ive had some pretty big relationships just fall all apart, and i learned or learnt that sometimes love can hold you back and if its not working its not working, move on.. no point in being unhappy if you can help it. you will find new love just give it time and dont go looking for it. focus on your dreams while you still have time.

  • @TheThroney Well said, however, Time is a bitch, and her sister, Age, is a total shit! The only escape is death, and then Time and Age are meaninless. Our dreams are meaningfull, inspite of angry, greedy, selfish assholes. Dreaming IS free, you can't take them away. Dream away!

  • i was playing pinball when i first heard this fuck i feel old

  • listening to this is puberty all over again ..

  • I bet a lot of guys in those days were dreaming about Debbie Harry in this dress! I was a littlebit too young in those days and I never saw this video back then but....mmmm....looking very, very well!

  • One of the greatest performers ever

    Just stunning.

  • I first heard this in my youth in a Wimpy after ice skating. I was so thirsty but couldn't afford a drink, so I tried drinking some vinegar that was next to my burger. Now everytime I hear Blondie I think of drinking vinegar.

  • Drumming.......Debbie...what more do you need????

  • clem burke the drummer. keith moon/ annimal all in one!!!!

  • @specialtheatres haha...so true!!!

  • Debbie is beautiful!

  • MINOR 1963 ALWAYS

  • Love the music, to bad every video I came across seemes to be playbacked..

  • yep this dress, in those days, caused my very first wet dream LOL

  • I think the main reason the 20th century is so stressful and boring is that we don't have good music like this anymore.

  • Deborah my all time best music artist. I still love her music so much.

  • Blondie and Deborah Harry will always be iconic. I remember Blondie making a huge impression when I was 8 years old and now 32 years later I still love them. Classic new wave.. it has and will continue to stand the test of time...

  • This is when Music was Music. Blondie was an incredible band that never compromised.

  • love blondie, debbie was and still is beautiful.... she paved the way for Gwen and a few female alternative female artist... music is a relvoving door and there is music today (Interpol, killers, phoenix, elefant...so many more) that may not hold up to yester year but it one day will pave the way for other acts... there will always be a sense of new wave in every generation and the younger kids that are INTO music understand that so we should give those praise that love music in a whole.

  • Blondie rocks!!!! See... most people don't understand what new wave is...new wave is the middle ground between punk and pop...it means you hate your boss but you're not going to beat the shit out of him,at least not literally...some people think there is no such thing as new wave but they are wrong...Blondie...Talking Heads...Devo..this is all new wave...people with enough sense to try to make a living off their rebellion instead of pissing it all away...ha ha take that!

  • Love the comments! 2010 aint just boring - its the f#$%ing apocalypse. I'm a high school music teacher and the band is playing the theme to Sanford and Son. They're learning "Carry On Wayward Son" - they hate contemporary pop. Kind of Says it all.

  • Clem Burke's drumming on here is BONKERS!!!! He's got to be the most underrated drummer in rock history.

  • Great song! Why can't artist of today produce stuff like this! Music of today is pure Sh**.

  • @BobChippewa I'm sick of hearing that same old argument. You obviously don't know much about music, if you think all music today is "Shit". You have to look pass all the mainstream stuff, talking about "bitches n' hoes" and how shiny the rims of their cars are and whether they spin or not.

  • @DehydratedManatee But thats what everyone is saying. Back then you didn't have to look past the mainstream stuff. The mainstream stuff then, unlike today, was effn' cherry.

  • @DehydratedManatee - Ok then name me some Cool shit today that will stand the test of time. Just 1 band, Just 1.

  • Blondie FTW!

  • The best three minutes on YouTube

  • Oh gosh! Never thought I'd be in the 'old generation' but it happened. Your turns arriving sooner than you think.

  • It is impossible to watch this video and not fall in love with Debbie Harry. She is the most mesmerizing performer I have ever seen. She is also exceptionally beautiful in the videos for Shayla, Heart Of Glass, Union City Blue, Slow Motion, Sound Asleep, Living In The Real World and the TOTP performance of Dreaming.

  • This is my favourite Blondie song and has been for 30 years, though I love all of their songs. Clem works the drums really hard here and Debbie, well Debbie is

just perfect! The band is so tight and that only comes from lots of gigs at lots of different venues. That's something that is missing in most of today's mainstream (mostly manufactured) bands.

  • I have this video on DVD- Debbie is a knockout, hard to believe it was from 1979- I'm getting old. Iove the early 80's music

  • If I ever get a girl as hot as Debbie, I'll get motivated in life and go back to school during the day like I used to. might even clean my room or like.. be nice to people or acknowledge my perents threats or... pay for things when in shops or something. I don't know, just.. be better i guess? Yeah.

  • Yeah, baby!!!!!!!!!

  • Blonde goddess :)

  • I love this singer, she is beautiful , sings very well!

great band, unfortunately that time has gone ! i was 9 years old when this albun has been released! who was young adult that time was lucky!

  • Glad i'm not a teenager today, their music really is well fucked up. We had Top of the pops, The Tube, The Roxy, Old Grey Whistle Test, real groups real music.

  • clem burke is possesed in this video!! amazing and very underrated drummer... xD

  • God took his time with this one and created something Angelic and Perfect.

  • Gen X rules. Feel sorry for teenagers today, they have no one to look up to.

  • @Blissbomb2 How true. The pop bimbo's of today from Britney to Katy Perry are so outclassed by Debbie that it's not even funny.

  • @dsfddsgh What; you put Katy Perry in the same sentence as Blondie. Rack off!!

  • @Blissbomb2 - Ain't that the truth!! As a fellow Gen X'er, I truly miss the early 80's - what an incredible time! The dawn of the computer age, coupled with the influx of all the new music and MTV (showing music videos) - I wish I could go back in time and re-live it all over again!

I truly feel sorry for the kids of today - they really have no idea how wonderful music can really be - they really have nothing that even compares to what we had back then - or what our parents had in the 50s & 60s

  • @Blissbomb2 Indeed we don't! But we always look back on the oldies like this!!!

I am a 16 year old fan girl and only listen to 60's to 80's music!

I'm a BIG David Bowie fan and won't have my mind swayed towards rubbish modern music for the life of me!

  • @Blissbomb2 we have gen x

  • running wolf10181.........damm you're absolutely right.

  • @Blissbomb2 cheryl cole ?

  • @Blissbomb2 i am a 15 and i have liam gallagher to look up to and am still inspired by the work of john lennon.

  • @rwillemars its a good thing we was shot though.

  • Comment removed

  • @CarbonBlonde how was it a good thing?

  • @rwillemars cause he was a daft basttard.

  • @CarbonBlonde are you taking the piss? he was a big part of the beatles THE BEST BAND EVER. without him we wouldn't have some of the great bands today, how can you say it was a good thing he was shot?

  • @rwillemars someone should have shot john lennon long before lee harvey oswald.

  • @CarbonBlonde haha im finding it hard to take you serious

  • @rwillemars i don't know why u are even bothering he is obviously clueless

  • @rwillemars LOL Liam Gallagher is atrocious, a singer who can't pronounce words properly, he's like Jonathan Ross.

  • @Blissbomb2

at least we have lady gaga

  • @ChristianLimited Lady who??

  • @Blissbomb2 We thought the same about you, after the Seventies. Welcome in the old farts' paradise

  • Since when did we have peace in the 70/80's?

  • The problem today isn't really that there isn't any good music, just that it's so damn hard to find. We can't rely on the radio, that's for sure.

  • @ladyvader139 There's good stuff out there; it just isn't the mainstream stuff at the moment. Keep looking and you'll find it. Still; I'm pleased my folks had musical taste and I'll never get sick of Blondie even if I live another 70 years.

  • @stuartk319 Someone should clone Debbie...

  • My daughters are jealous of my musical generation, hehe.

  • Overdubbed with the studio recording -- which is a shame, because Deborah belts this song live, even today. Must have been a poor live soundboard recording.

  • She was an absolutely stunning woman.

  • @JBauer2: Some of the greatest musicians have used every narcotic out there and probably some crap we don't even know about. Regardless, Clem Burke is an amazing drummer.

  • There's some great music out there nowadays. Open your eyes and ears and look for it. I'm an old dude and man listening to Blondie brings back great memories....but I can name you several groups out now that are just as good.

  • @dwreves Yeah you might be right, but the point is, you shouldn't have to "look for it". What is played on the "top 40" radio stations today is just plain doo doo when compared to what we listened to 30 years ago. I'm sure that there probably are some good bands out there, but they are probably just local or underground. Its a cry'n shame.

  • @dwreves - Really? My eyes and ears are open and I haven't heard any. Music lacks any edge nowadays. Kings of Leon are about the only band i can think of that are any good.

  • Not enough Clem Burke...cute drummer.

  • I'd love to see the losers on the radio today attempt a song like that, not to mention the drumming-holy shit can he drum.

  • @shrinkquit cocaine is very helpful when drumming like that

  • This is one of Blondie's greatest songs ever!!! Top 5 for me along with In the flesh, Union City Blue, Slow Motion, and Heat of Glass!!! Fantastic and timeless!! I love you Debbie Harry!!!!!!!!!

  • Love Blondie. Love this song. But come on people. Every generation moans about how much their generation sucks, and then 15-20 years later their generation looks great and exciting and awesome to the new generation. At least this seems to be the case since the youth of the 70s at least. You can love various things, musically especially, about different decades but quit the OMG LOOK AT ME I'M 13 AND LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC LIKE BLONDIE. Do you want a prize or something?

  • dear god this woman has it. i dont know what it is but she has it.

  • To me Parallel Lines is one of the greatest albums of all time. Not a mediocre song on it--you can't even say that about any Beatles album. And I am a huge Beatles fan. Dreaming, if remember came off a later album. I truly believe that we are seeing a permament downward spiral in rock/pop music. There has always been peaks and dearths but since the beginning of this decade there has not been any upswing in the quality of the music. Rather sad, since I am not one who lives in the past.

  • @samevie07

Dreaming came off their best album ever Eat to the Beat a must own, Union City Blues, Slow Motion... everyone a winner

  • Watch the guy on drums - fantastic work!

  • everyone having fun, being young

  • My FAV BLONDIE song. Great band, Debbie one SEXY LADY. Clem Burke one of the best drummers around. I remember when this song came out, my God it's still tops. They just don't write them like that anymore.

  • @nikbunnymen My fave Blondie song also, pure class and she's so hot in this video

  • oh god, the 80's and the 70's exciting

    2010 is boring boring boring

please old generations dont envy to us for have iphones or faceboook etc, all you had the best of all, peace, good music and the best fashion ever !!

  • @kbrod90210

I lived through it and worked in LA in the music business it was a great time

its coming back, I hear echoes in Coldplay, Dashboard Confessional and other bands. great melodies, driving rhythm guitars and drums..

  • @kbrod90210 I know this generation sucks balls. Even the punk scene sucks. But don't worry me and a bunch of other bands are doing what grunge bands and early punk bands did by making our own generation because this one sucks!

  • @kbrod90210

Don't worry, we don't envy what you have; trust me. Not sure about the 80s as being exciting. I bought this album when it was first released and it is a great album.

  • @kbrod90210 ..kiddy - facebook is shite, real life party in the 80-ies is something exceptional and matchless !!! ;)))

  • @kbrod90210 yes I know, I don't....they are killing all the joy and creativity

  • @kbrod90210 yeah youre right...... i love 70s than now.... even if im teen. now the music is so annoying.... i hate it xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo......................

  • @kbrod90210 i think my laptop liked this comment without me touching it.... ;)

  • @kbrod90210

LOL, Im gonna reply on youre old post here. =)

I went tru it all, Blodie, wild punk koncerts, Kiss, Iron maden, Clach..

STILL I have Iphones and crap like that!! xD

  • @kbrod90210

the oldies have the best music, and the i-phones and facebook :)

  • @kbrod90210 Envy you? ...NAH!

We had Punk, and the first computers (Groundbreaking rather than franchise wars). Why would we envy you?
