@QuackHaio Actually, we are now on our third Vietnam, with no end in sight. Violence is low? Turn on the news. Iran may be next. Endless cop shows feature serial killers, and while we watch "Rage in the Cage" events and roar gas guzzling vehicles around in circles for sport, we are running out of oil and time as our leaders take bribes under the table.
Anyone remember S.A.L.T and S.A.L.T II ? Hopefully by 2045 a few more of these or some variations will be in place there won't be anymore nuclear missiles to "Go off in their silos".
Year A.I 1 us our 2049 year!!! I hope the machines become a threat, so that the whole of humanity will stop fighting against each other!!! We'll fight the machines instead!!!!
@walidnoor786 The reason I wrote this scenario is to show that human nature needs to evolve. Not being human, the machines would not have our nature, or our egos. Or at least that is the hope. Humans never learn, they fight and compete and kill war after war after war. Greed and bloodlust are universal. (Just look at all the silly vampire and zombie movies.) We can't even IMAGINE things being different. Whatever happens, it will not be expected.
This sounds like alot of fun. I wish I could see them outlast every organism in the universe. But of course, in order for this to happen, people have to code the super computers on purpose. The systems cannot become self aware unless they have the primal processess equivalent to the human brain's processess.
Yeah of course! I'd prefer being a slave to a robot then these corrupt politicians who have millions die under our noses, with an A.I being the supreme ruler of this world he won't care about money, he won't have any enemy so that he won't have any hate toward any enemy, I bet all he would want of us is for us is try to improve them, the death of some of us won't benefit him..
I love the last part, but I have a hard time believing that a super A.I. will develop, I think a more likely scenario is a more decentralized type of AI that connects and disconnects to a super-network all the time, and one which will try to improve every single human beings life. We will have slaves and be slaves at the same time, like dogs are to us, we will be to AI!
This is usually the part where I recommend an open-minded study of the book of Revelation, one that considers the capabilities of modern technology and how they might be utilized in an end-time scenario... But, you probably stopped reading this comment about 15 words in or so... If you are still reading, consider the idea of all your personal and financial information being stored on a chip, one that could easily be implanted in the human body... Now, go do your homework.
@TopsideCrisis346 I'm not sure how you could "study" the book of Revelations, since it is meant to be allegorical, not meant to be taken literally, so interpretations would vary, (and End Times prophesy is used by televangelists to generate profit). Mixing science and religion is always a mistake, since the latter is dogmatic (and people die to defend beliefs) while the former is amenable to updating (depending on proofs). This scenario is SF, similar to Isaac Asimov in "I, Robot."
I will say, I was expecting the new sentient entity to say "All your base are belong to us. You have no chance to survive make your time. Ha ha ha."
I could see this happening. I don't see a computer taking humanity hostage out of malice, but rather, if programmed to solve humanities problems, the best immediate solution could be to freeze all human activity instantaneously and rebuild. How? Let's see.. nuclear missiles, restructuring of government...execute.
eh, just saying, violence and conflicts have never been as low as now.
It's kind of stupid to be so gloomy about humans constantly waging war when nearly everyone in the western world has never been in one.

Fuck yes! Control us dumb fucking monkeys! Lead us to immortality oh ye A.I god!
And so I have started the singularity religion that embraces the total transformation and assimilation of our species.
Sorry everyone, but without this we are fucked. So either take a chance with our future A.I gods or die when another rock hits this planet.
Btw: we have turned our world upside down on it's head. Good luck!

Maybe we do need a robot to lead this planet. Without greed and selfishness, it would make a pretty good leader

we're going to need a.i. to save us from Wall Street (and the politicians they've bought) for sure!
