  • Nobuo's epic return! wiiiiiii i'll play this!!

  • Waste a fantastic soundtrack on a terrible game shame on you SquareEnix.

  • What's the name of this damn it?! It's kick-ass!

  • @ChidoriSnake never mind this comment. i know now

  • So beautiful :')

  • FF14 had some good music. Shame the game was and still is a complete bust. LOL!

  • These singers sounds like those who sang the vocal version of "Distant Worlds" in the album "Distant Worlds"

  • So AMAZING...wow...

  • I am interested to see if this game will ever be something I want to pay for monthly. I won't dog it because I think SE already knows every complaint I would make, but I will keep watching.

  • What's the title of this track ? It sounds a little like "Memoro de la Stono" from FFXI ♥

  • @Rupol44 Because Nobuo Wrote both the songs lol.

  • Comment removed

  • Beatiful. For some reason I can't stop listening to it...

  • Okay so SE wants your money for an unfinished game and is pretty much rebooting the entire thing (New graphics engine and all) in 2 years... wtf..

  • Comment removed

  • @Raptor8762 They said they will do that in the near future. :) maybe patch 1.20 or 1.21 :)

  • @MrAmethystium Late next year, patch 2.0 comes out with a brand new graphics engine. They will probably change the zones then. Take a look at this picture

    i.imgur(dot)com/ryKCR(dot)jpg

  • @Raptor8762 Aye, it's coming very, very soon.

  • @Raptor8762 Check the version 2 announcement, they are.

  • @Raptor8762 they are starting from scratch with the maps, and they will release the new version of the game in december 2012 with no copy-pasta maps.

  • Why does Nobuo think Rock solves everything? I hate FFXIV's soundtrack because the majority of it consists of midi loops or guitar rifts that is overused..

  • @AsterBarnivere Luckily they seem to be branching away from that style a bit with recent additions to the soundtrack.

  • @AsterBarnivere And then he composes Songs as "Answers" :)

  • @AsterBarnivere Most of his tracks are utterly amazing. Rock or not, doesn't matter if the music is good.

  • Epic song is Epic

  • wow to think the singer from the LIVE SHOWS would recorded this games songs too; YAY Love her voice

  • Good song =)

  • Why is it that the Final Fantasy music always makes me feel better with life?

  • j0, guys, if you're gonna post about something, make it about this amazing song, not cars, and Internet trolling, please. The song is amazing, and it doesn't deserve to have top comments such as these.

  • Hmph! Whatevah! Nobuo Uematsu has written some of the most incredible music I have heard to date.

  • @ryg33

Correction: Nobuo Uematsu is up there with Bethoven; Chopin etc.

XD and he's crossed Rock with Classical Music

Love is music to the pitter Core myself

  • only if nobuo works on a main line ff :'(

awesome musics but crap game, sigh....

  • @MrAmethystium

    @Notsureif

    @zigyzigy13

*Insert generic "Stop arguing and enjoy the music" comment here*

  • i'm looking for the name of the singer anyone can answer plz ?

  • @MissCalatra The singer is Susan Calloway

  • so this game is for free? phew :D ff11 wasn´t for free, was it?

  • @Antschi25 well yeah, I repeat myself again, they said it will be for free until it will be worth FF name. :)

  • @MrAmethystium on that note: they've started charging. so...it's no longer worth the time or money. (personal opinion)

  • thank you for the post :P love the song and the singer

  • Do you have any info for the PS3 version of this game. By the way this song is awesome

  • unfortunately i heard the game sucks.

  • @LoveSerah Unfortunetally the game gets better and better by months. So it has improved a lot since the beginning. If you try now, you wont be dissapointed, if you try after a month, you will be very surprised. After a month, they will have a huge patch which will improve the game even more

  • @MrAmethystium Issit? The last time i heard was they are giving out the games for free downloads.

  • @LoveSerah they were never giving it for free downloads, when you buy a game, you can play it for free though.. This is their gift, till they make the game worth a final fantasy game. So your knowladge is incomplete.

  • @MrAmethystium im glad someone out there is defending it, i feel bad to those who jump the gun after playing a few hours of it and than comparing it to others without waiting and see what else happens. MMOs need time to develop and not be judged til a year later at the very least.

  • @tonyburza True enough, but he couldn't actually play his songs once he went deaf. In fact it caused him to fall into depression because of it. None the less I will admit there are some very talented people out there who know music so well that they can create masterpieces and what they sound like in their heads without having to play it.

  • what does cars have to do with the soundtrack of ff14?

  • Music is creation. Why? Because each time you play the music you're the one who is 'creating' the sound. Yes when a song is written it is more discovering what sounds right together but you must create the sound to hear what it sounds like to know that it sounds good.

  • @AlmightyMillerBob beethoven knew what sounds good without hearing it :P

  • This sounds like a church song...

  • she sounds like coco lee a little bit

  • best best best...lov this song...beautifull!<3

    "..hear..feel..think.."

    ...be free...:)

  • **** man, this song reeks of average. How can you compose the ridiculously epic "Distant Worlds" and help with some of XI's fantastic tracks, then sink so far into mediocrity?

  • and to finish for all those that think Mozart is God...i think u must review ur position..hes maybe a god or one of them...but music is like that...it's goes better to better..!!!and with time new stars replace the others ...u think that comparing uematsu to mozart is like insulting music ...but i thing that snagging to the past and that old musicians (that i deeply respect) is an insult to music too!!! like ive said music isn't a static creation.

  • @Rtlighter god is a creator ... mozart is a musician,, u got ur facts messed up ;p

  • @itachy963 yea but what do u mean? thats exactely what i've said.music isn't exactely "creation".it's only a discovery or an exploration.....

  • Comment removed

  • oh sorry i was discussing with you and i havent seen that zigyzigy13 give a very similar message ..i think you should read it ...ah it's amazing to see that people are different but can react by the same way..its' what i was saying about music ...whatever our origin we can have similar ideas it's totally stupid to try to see who invent the first...and it's totally stupid to say the first who find it is the master ..the musician don't need to dominate music...the music speaks to him.naturaly.xD

  • Comment removed

  • Mrmramethystium: music has an infinite potential of creation .....so you can't say those from the past have invented it all like if were talking about a limited creation (exemple car.....the man ho invented car is The one

music isn't a thing we invent ..it's a thing that we found!! ...we just don't have the ear to hear it correctly......so anyone has invented it and all the civilizations can help for that perpetual research ..that's why we call it ART.

  • Comment removed

  • nice song

  • I don't see what the big deal.

To me, classical music (which, as some of you may know, is not all classified as classical; that's later on, actually) and modern music are impossible to compare. Music is an art form and therefore it evolves - I mean, think about it: is it possible to compare Let It Be with The Four Seasons?

No. No it is not. Same with this: it isn't even styled like classical music, and a keen ear should hear that.

Therefore: arguing this is pointless. Just enjoy the music.

  • Comment removed

  • @emazinglyemi Hear hear. Just enjoy the type of music you enjoy, don't feel you always gotta compare it to other genres and claim that yours is superior.

  • If Henry Ford invented the car how did the French invent it.....

  • The melody of some parts here is very similar to "America the beautiful" especially at 6:06 - 7:11

  • Mr Nobuo Uematsu... You give me feeling of total perfection! Every song from FF series gives power to live! Those songs cure cancer for real, and also makes hunger disappear across the world!

  • Uematsu is THE MAN!!!

  • This song sucks!

    (Trolling the troll~)

  • this will probly be the CS to get into ishgard

  • @HallowsMovie no sir, you are crap

  • this is the main theme in FFXIV and it plays during the middle of chapter 9 main story.

  • This is AWESOME! *___*

  • Where can I download this song? This is a must have peace of art...

  • I highly doubt this is authentic but then again idk because I haven't heard the ost.

  • @idreamof2morrow This song is very much part of the game. Segments of it are used in the opening movies.

  • whats the name of this song, I really want it on meh Ipod....?

  • @Midgarelite It's called "Answers"

  • @SusannahMi0 oh thank u very much, its such a great song...

  • the song that made me buy the game:)

  • This is just....breathtaking. Just lovely. God, I'm speechless

  • I was never much interested in FFXI, I had another MMO that I was subscribed to, but... The fact that Uematsu is back and composing for FF is enough for me buy FFXIV without a second thought. Of course, the game looks pretty great as it is, but more Nobuo just makes it every bit more fantastic to my mind.

  • I need this song...

  • Last Minute gave me goose bumps, very impressive.

  • I love it at 2:00!!!

  • Wow this song is exellent, but thats normal from Uematsu. Question where did you get this?

  • Song's name: Answers.

  • the question is what's the song name ?

  • i think the song's name is answers

  • @MrGaboox Yea your right. Nice one!

  • @MrGaboox right. it's answer

  • I have cried. This song is truly beautiful. It should be played in church. (I would so go if it happened)

  • Anyone know the official name for this song?

  • @Dobu4 it is "Answers"

  • Daaaammmn. And I thought the snippet in the trailers was cool... but now hearing the full one, I'm blown away. I got freakin' tinglies all over my head and I feel like smiling/crying!!! I know what tune I'll be humming for fricken months on end! EPIC!

  • who sing that? who is the girl ?

  • @Erendiel99 Susan Calloway, she also sing Melodies of Life & Suteki da ne in the distant worlds soundtracks.

  • There are 7 people in this world that are either deaf or have no taste in music. Either way, I don't see the point of them going into this video and rate dislike. This Song is absolute-positive-amazingly BADASS.

  • corny

  • Gives me goosebumps.

  • Portuguese:

Por favor alguém sabe me dizer o nome, ou algum lugar onde eu consiga encontrar a letra desta musica, ou cantora, grupo etc.?

    English:

Please, does anyone can tell me the name, or any site where I can find the lirycs of this music, the singer, the group, etc?

    Thanks!

  • they need to hurry up and make a FF movie with real people and the movie needs to be about something pertaining to the game and Uematsu will recieve an oscar for best musical score!! He would 3 peat cause it would definitely be a trilogy.

  • @Ichtyology4U sorry for calling you that...

  • @Ichtyology4U

Music is just like plays. It grows with ages. William Shakespere's: Romeo & Juliet was inspired by a scene from greek Sophacle's: Antigone. Now MANY plays/stories are inspired from Romeo & Juliet. A genius doesn't just create original ideas, but often expands original ideas.

In your opinion, Mozart might look bad comapred to Uematsu, but culture & technology back then was much different compared to now. Just some variables you guys might want to consider to the debate &nowuno

  • @MrAmethystium Are you an idiot? Maybe you need to actually think before you go blabbing into the superiority complex, but Uematsu is a classical composer, Mozart compose in the baroque, a LATE baroque composer, he was a genius, but past genius doesn't mean we can't have modern ones. The art style is still alive and Uematsu is educated in the same styles, with the benefit of hundreds of years of musical progression afterwards. Maybe you need to have better respect for musical masters.

  • @MrAmethystium Uematsu IS one of the masters. You don't have to be born hundreds of years ago to be a musical master.

  • @MrAmethystium If classical music is so frail that it can't survive comparisons to popular music, it may as well be dead. People hundreds of years ago frankly said what composers they liked and disliked; why can't we? Treating classical music as an untouchable ideal may make people respect it, but not love it or listen to it. You'll only win people over if you can make classical music feel as familiar and approachable to them as, say, Nobuo Uematsu.

  • @MrAmethystium There is no doubt that Uematsu is better than any other Eropean musicians in the past.

  • @zigyzigy13 you must be an idiot to believe that, or a self hating white boy.... I as a musian can say that it ALL of the European composers in the past are better.

  • If those people didnt excist music wouldnt be the same right now, I mean worse, way worse.. Because they discovered all possible tones, all possible chords and made music what it is today.

  • @MrAmethystium The idea that whoever discovered the music first is the best is wrong. Americans invented the car but the Japanese have the best quality today. European composers in the past are better.> Be specific. You can't even tell how better it is. I will tell you staright to the point if you wanna know what they lack compared to Nobuo's music. It seems to me that you are a typical person who pretends to know what you know.

  • @zigyzigy13 excuse me but those who invented cars are the french !!!!

  • @zigyzigy13 excuse me but those who invented cars are the french !!!!

  • @zigyzigy13 good job man!!! i was just saying the same to that cunt of MrAmethystium ..then i saw ur message...it's amazing that we take the example of the car xD ...but it's a classic for me..

  • @Rtlighter Yup. It makes me laugh everytime when these people claim that the so called "inventer" is better than any other musicians today. And then when you ask them how it is better than Nobuo, Mitsuda Kouichi, or any other great Japanese composers, they can't even answer the reason. And you are absolutely right. The music speaks to yourself whether it is good or not by naturally and by feeling it. That is one of the many reasons.

  • HAHA OMG - your post is epic. You acuse MrAmethystium of prentending to know things - yet you claim America invented the car.

HENRY FORD DID NOT INVENT THE CAR YOU FUCKING MORON - HE INVENTED MASS AUTO PRODUCTION - i.e - PRODUCTION LINE WORKING. In 1885, Karl Benz built a gas powered car that operated on the principles of internal combustion. The car was built in Germany and later grew into the Mercedes-Benz Corporation. Karl Benz was granted the first patent on a car.

  • @Notsureif You acuse MrAmethystium of prentending to know things> It's very simple. If he claims that the European composers in the past are better than Nobuo Uematsu, then explain in detail how thye were better than him. I can explain as I have siad it previously. YOU FUCKING MORON> This shows how uneducated you are. Very low class person. The point that I made is very clear. Whether Americans, Germans, or French who invented a car is irrelevant. That point is people are getting better.

  • @Notsureif isn't it Daimler-Benz? :)

  • @Notsureif fake

  • @zigyzigy13 i agree with this and than again disagree, without the past composers there would be no insperation for Nobuo's work. He even likes led zepplin, so give thanks to em as well. Opinion is all that makes us different. Besides that we all love music one way or another, it's an art no one will be able to agree with. Human Nature i assume

  • @liquidsnake23 It's not about how Nobou is inspired. People are improving as time goes by. Mohammed Ali was a great boxer at the time wen he was on the ring but his skill at that time is an amateur level compared to today's boxing standard. Same thing with music. It is not the matter of who invented or started. It's what music that can touch your heart and make you feel good with an extra ordinary composition, chords and notes etc.

  • @zigyzigy13 ZIGYZIGY13 you are so wrong, no body can go beyond what European musicians have created in 19th century, music doesn't improve, it is becoming more and more degenerate, Japanese are the only people who are still holding to the high European standards whilst we are losing it through cultural marxism inspired by those who call themselves 'jew'. Try listening to those composers, its impossible to exceed that level, the only thing that improved is the hard and software for music.

  • @MrAmethystium Hahaha!!! It's funny because for the first time, I have the exact the same opinion as yours. That's right, the Jews have destroyed the music all around the world especially the American music as well as many European music. Japanese music are getting better and better and in my opinion, it is the only country that creats "music", the real music. You will bearly hear the unique composition, chords, melody, dynamics etc in other countries that the Japanese have. Joe Hisaishi for ex

  • @zigyzigy13 so in other words, you dont like anyone else?

  • @zigyzigy13 WHY ARE WE ARGUING ABOUT CARS?! AAAHHH! >XD THIS IS ABOUT FINAL FANTASY XIV!!

  • @MrAmethystium It's not about who invented the music but who can touch and catch people's heart. If who invented is the best then look at American cars. The quality is very low but Japanese car has the best quality right now. At the end of the day, it's about which music can touch can catch people's heart with a very pretty and unique compisition, chords , notes and how the put different kinds of instruments etc. Think why many people do not like listening to past European musicians.

  • @MrAmethystium I have to back you up 100% Mr. Well said.

  • @MrAmethystium they don't invented anything people of today can't invent...they have only benefitted from some good conditons ....if you think that european musician have invented music so you totally mistakes...all civilisations have developped music ...and european have more sophisticated instruments because of their level of technology...you cant' despise those from our era only because they come after.it's stupid..as if you say computer scientist are inferior than those who invented books

  • @Ichtyology4U

    I totally agree, fuck Mozart.

    Praise Uematsu!

  • @Ichtyology4U

No, he doesn't make Mozart look pretty bad, actually. He looks like he in fact takes influences from Mozart as well as modern music and blends them together masterfully to create a sound specific to both himself and Square Enix itself (if you ever listen to the music from Chaos Rings [like Frozen Sky, Scorched Earth] you'll think it sounds just like a late Final Fantasy). - Classical and Jazz Musician and a fan of Nobuo Uematsu as well as most of the composers of Square Enix

  • @Ichtyology4U no offense man but your comment tells me you know dick about music

  • @Ichtyology4U Too bad for the present it's all wasted on pathetic games.

  • @Ichtyology4U I agree, I prefer some of the Final Fantasy music over that of Mozart as well. I think it's limited to assume that the best music was the first stuff from a certain genre, especially with the number of people making music today compared to back then. (But I still think that FF8 has the best music :P)

  • @Ichtyology4U why do people compare all classical to mazart? just wondering, i mean he has excellent pieces... but i dont find him to be the greatest...

  • I saw Spoony's preview of this game and Guild Wars 2, and It would be a shame if this game becomes as boring as he said.

  • @Xaio30 Spoony is a loser who hates himself, why would you listen to him about games? Besides his act is all a comedy, he sure as hell played every game he talks crap about. If he hates all those mainstream games that he makes fun of, why does he continue to play products of those same companies?

  • @matrix0071 Oh, please. Don't go bashing on him like a full-fledged troll the first thing you do. If you actually watched his reviews, you would find that he loved most of the FF games with only the few exceptions that he rants about. That would be... 3 FF games including this. I would not turn down a franchise just because one game was bad, I would just hope the next one would be better.

  • where can i find the lyrics to this song? and whats the name of this song

  • I love rock/ballad music.. this song is incredibly epic!

  • FFXIV's soundtrack is soooo much better than FFXIII's.

  • vive nobuo uematsu!!!

  • witness (we) suffer (we) grovel (we) reason

(we) follow (we) struggle (we) wander (we) listen

(we) whisper (we) shoulder (we) addle (we) weather

(please) answer (you) answer (me) answer together

My life is a riddle to bear rapture and sorrow

To listen to suffer to entrust unto tomorrow

In one fleeting moment from the land doth life flow

Yet in one fleeting moment for the new leaf doth grow

In the same fleeting moment thou must live, die and know

  • The singer.. is she Emily Bindinger..!? She sounds alot like her..!

  • @ShiroiYuriNoOtome Susan Calloway

  • @Pherox83 Yeah, I've read that after I made this comment.. they really do have similar voices though...

  • isnt that night wish ?

  • i love nobuo uematsu's final fantasy songs, very memorable, beautiful and nostalgic -- some of my favs are: balamb garden, besaid island, lifestream, scenery of spira, searching for friends...<3 beautiful. but i also really liked hamauzu's xiii soundtrack, it was fresh, stylish and nice to listen to, i especially liked: march of the dreadnoughts, face it later, serah's theme, a brief respite, to hunt l'cie and definately tha amazing battle theme, blinded by light :)

  • @sunheart123 Besaid wasn't by Nobuo! (geez, you people give him too much credit for the FFX soundtrack) Hamazau composed it.

  • @Clanitz okay then, i'll add that to the list of hamazau songs i like, which is just as big as the uematsu list. thats my mistake -- but hey, would you mind not refering to me as 'you people'? i have my own opinion and don't really like being labelled as a nobuo fan or a hamazau fan, i like both equally.

  • I love this so much, I love uematsu I am going to be married to his music some day

  • Interestion notion for the talkbackers... no matter how much you dislike it, no matter how much you bitch and moan and call people fanboys for enjoying something you don't (welcome to a world where your opinion is not scientific law), there are always going to be plenty of people who enjoy what you can't stand, and who will buy what you won't. Sorry, no, simply liking something you do not does not invalidate their views or interests or make them wrong. Only a complete moron would think so.

  • Why anyone would WANT Hamauzu to compose future OSTs for Final Fantasy titles after listening to Final Fantasy XIII is beyond me.

  • @fficebreaker Because Uematsu left square like a traitor, so Hamauzu is their next best bet. Uematsu was working on FF14 before he quite SE, hence his music is featured in this game, its not like he came back to do it.

  • @matrix0071 Wow. Really not sure if you're trolling or not.

Spoiler alert: Hamauzu left Square Enix in January 2010. Also, lol @ the entire comment.

  • @IWasACactus I wasnt trolling and I didnt know that Hamauzu left too! WTF! This is bs.

  • @IWasACactus Wait he left?
