  • I thought this was Brad Pitt talking

  • I think the title sounds rather nice... "hey ,you watched Braking Bad?" yeah, sounds awesome :P

+ anyone that has internet can check what breaking bad means, I mean, even I knew what it meant..

  • I always thought that "breaking bad" was a bit of a play on words as well. Because the series explores the theme of morality and has so many characters who're morally ambiguous rather than being in any one category like good, evil, villain, hero. They're all shown as human beings who make choices dependant on the circumstances.

In that sense I took it to mean that they were trying to break the traditional concept of "bad" eg. what it really is to be bad, or to be evil.

  • @ProducShuns wow... this isnt a fucking assignment cunt you dont need to try and act smart just shutup and enjoy the video you fat nerd cunt.

  • @trollMACHINE "trollmachine"? At least be subtle you useless cunt. Level 1 troll, gtfo of here noob

  • this guy is a genius!

  • it means to ..... ? sry I'm not a native speaker.

  • @soulflyer860 Another website said that "Breaking Bad" means that when someone is on a straight path (good, moral person) and takes detour (Walter starting to sell meth) the detour will branch off more and more to the "bad" path.

  • I always thought the title's meaning was pretty obvious, regardless of whether it's a 'saying'.

  • the other day they broadcasted breaking bad, sons of anarchy and married with children the same time on cable while i watched the most intriguing doc about swordfish.

  • I always thought breaking bad had to do with getting cancer, because breaking even, means just that; everything usually goes smoothly.

  • Is that interviewer a girl?

  • I got my family hooked on this show, hell yeah! Can't wait for season 5.

  • I just assumed it meant breaking out of "good" behavior norms and becoming a badass. Which Walt does. And Jesse. And Skylar in Season 4.

  • "Can't you think of a better title?"

"Well, I kinda like this one."

"...I don't know what the hell it means."

  • Well Vince Giligan, thanks to you, Breaking Bad is not regional anymore

  • theres a line in the first episode where Jesse says "breaking bad"

  • @Edbrad

I hate when films/tv shows incorporate the title into a character's script. You can imagine how irritated I've gotten with the James Bond films.

  • @Resurrected2011

    -

    how about songs? :D

  • @Edbrad Yeah, I figured it meant something about cooking drugs because of that.

  • I love the show, but it is a total Weeds rip-off.

  • @Nautilus1972 That's a joke right?

  • @Nautilus1972 I'm sorry, is the Protagonist a Weed Addict in Breaking Bad?

Is there anyone there who has actually had a drastic change in their life like Jesse did while selling Meth?

    I Thought not.

  • @Nautilus1972 your a moron.

  • @Nautilus1972 similar premise but weeds stopped being weeds after like the 3rd or 4th season so glad they stepped up

  • @Nautilus1972 No it isn't. It's as original as it gets.

  • As a Virginian myself, I can't say I've heard the term either.

  • @SalientK i thought u said virgin

  • is that a black dude or woman?

  • Really? I'm not from the South but isn't it fucking obvious what it means? Jesse uses it in the first episode "you're what, like 50 and all of the sudden decide to break bad?" If you can't figure out what it must mean you're just stupid.

  • R.I.P. Gus Fring. I know you are probably in hell, playing scrabble with Tuco. lol.

  • @damndisplace07 Damnit. I am only halfway through season 3. I hope they get another player soon - you.

  • @TheDesertFox I think the main player is going to be Walt in the next season. Since you are only halfway through season 3, I'm not gonna completely spoil season 4 for you. When you watch it, you'lll see why Walt might be the next kingpin.

  • Oh my god the ending of Sunday's episode. The dread I felt, TV has never come close to that before.

  • it means what?? can't understand what Vince says. Raise hell?

  • @veneamerican to start hell, so start to break bad, to mess stuff up.....

  • I always thought it was an inversion of "making good" use of one's time. Since he's got limited time but is making risky choices and raising hell.

  • Awesome show. And this is coming from someone who despises television. Sucks that it'll be ending after season 5.

  • GOD DAMN!!!! bring the mic cable THROUGH the clothes. The producer of this show got the gig straight from high school.

  • At the end of every episode when his name pops up and it says CREATED BY Vince Gilligan I say to myself 'Vince youve done it again'. Might go down as the best creater of my lifetime.

  • @losangelesnefastvs This week's episode was shit. And absolute waste of an episode...

  • Vince Gilligan you are a genius. Thanks for creating such a powerful yet emotive show, and what a great cast in the show.

  • Hes a damn genius

  • In Arkansas, the term for grossly misbehaving is "turning ignorant." There is no equivalent expression in Texas, because that's how we act all the time anyway.

  • I have my ideas. I reckon Skyler, being an author, will write a book about her husband titled 'Breaking Bad'. And that is how the money for the family will be made. Would be a good twist yo...

  • @1aceraussie She's not an author you idiot she's a book keeper.

  • @pacmandem In Season 1, the first episode, she had plans of writing a story. (She'd already written unsuccessful ones)

  • i assumed it was an expression that means breaking the law, like breaking away from a law abiding life and into a criminal life.

  • genius

  • i'm from northern Maryland (not exactly the south) and i knew what it meant.

  • DONATE FOR SEASONS ! :D

  • What makes this show great is that all of it so done so well. The story, the cinematography, the acting, the music. It all fits together perfectly. It gives the vibe that all the people involved are trying really hard to make the show the best it can be.

This show is the highest quality TV show on now, and possibly ever!

  • That is weird. English is not my first language and I never heard of the expression before, but "Breaking Bad" just sound kind of too much easy too figure out what it means instinctively.

  • best show out there

  • Gosh this show is a breath of fresh air, what with all the "Skins" and "Jersey Shores" on tv today. This is something real.

  • @theskiesbelowme actually skins uk is a really good show, better than the shitty american version, also, have u seen the killing, its amaaaaaaaaazing

  • I've stayed away from TV series for about ten years. I can't get into the corny shit that is on TV these days. All of a sudden I caught a fraction of the Breakin Bad pilot on an AMC marathon. After that I seriously watched all three seasons in three days. This is the best show I have ever seen. With this and Ancient Aliens I feel good about the future of TV entertainment. I just hope it doesn't get canned because the mainstream fuck tards want to watch shit on a stick.

  • BEST TITLE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bes TV SHOW ! PERIOD!

  • I can't wait to the new season airs!

    PEACE! BREAKING BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Best Show ever on TV

  • I thought it was to do with Walts situation in life. Like when life is okay, you know, you're making money, surviving, you're breaking even. When you're coming out of financial debt or a bad situation you're breaking even. I thought this was a commentary on the hand Walt was dealt, that he was breaking bad, and had a shitty hand dealt to him.

  • Best show since The Sopranos

  • Has a ring to it. I like it when movies or shows are named after old terms or expressions: Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, for example.

  • I hope this has 9 seasons or more.

  • @scottieman2 I do, but I don't. I'd like to see it wrap up nicely before they run it into the ground. I mean I'd love to see it go for a while. But realistically they can only have Walt live so long

  • @Jmerithew87

I know. I just want them to do a few more season just to wrap up and make it have make sense.

  • @Jmerithew87 Walt pretty much seems in the clear as far as the cancer goes. Yeah he keeps saying he still has cancer, but when was the last time he had any sort of health problems due to the cancer? Wasn't it Season 2 or maybe early Season 3? So I think they could keep it going for a long while. Not sure if they should, but they could.

  • Great question! I've been wondering about whether I was dumb for not clearly understanding what it meant. I thought it meant "making drugs" or something. Thanks.

  • one of the best show right now along with the tudors

  • Best show currently on TV

  • @hdtwoodsman Currently ? Best show of ALL TIME.

  • @woollybully100 Same here.

  • My favorite show of all time. This is what TV should be
